Scar A Case With Companions Part Three
The Following Of Two
Britannia and Beatrice were worried about Scar when she arrived late for school. In fact, though they did not want to say it to her face, they had been for a long time. They had noticed that ever since they had met, that she seemed to never get a good night’s sleep. Then, after her mother died, it seemed she had not been seen without a bad injury. First there was that time when she had been badly shot, then she was brought to the hospital with a terrible knife wound with a fatal level of blood loss. Now she was investigating a murder!
“Does that girl never get a break?” Beatrice exclaimed in class.
Then she looked at Scar behind them. The circles under her eyes were getting worse by the day. Which gave her a scary look then she turned back.
“Scar, do you ever get a break?”
She looked at her and blinked.
“What?”
“Come on! Ever since we’ve known you, you seem to be getting life threatening injury after injury. So do you ever get a break?”
She looked down and aside.
“Not really.” She muttered.
“Then take one! Seriously, you’re like mum. She works way too hard and even harder recently.”
“Yo! Triplets, be quiet!” The teacher snapped.
“‘Triplets’?” Scar repeated questioningly.
“Yeah, haven’t you noticed? They’ve been calling us that for a while now!”
“Why?”
“’Cause we looked like triplets. Well, apart from your eyes.”
“Yeah! Our’s is dark red and yours are beautiful bright red! They’re very pretty!”
“I said, keep quiet. Or am I going to have to split you three up?”
“No Mrs.”
Scar let out a sigh. She looked adide as her eyes looked back on the page. She then read the page. She then looked back up.
“Mrs Jose. That sentence has a mistake.”
She then frowned.
“How come?”
“The ‘you’re’ is wrong. It says, ‘You're time is up.’ It’s supposed to be Y O UR. And ‘I ain’t got no time for this’ is also grammatically incorrect too. After all, ain’t comes from the words isn’t which comes from is not. So does it make grammatical sense to say ‘I is not got no time for this?”
She smiled and her eyes widened.
“Good point Miss Cox!”
“NEARD!” The rest of the class shouted.
Soon the lesson was over and soon the rest of the school day followed. That was when they spotted Scar walking away from school. They soon spotted that she was walking not to her home. In fact, they noticed that she was walking to the bus. They looked at each other and, before they followed her. She took the bus. She got off and she would get off. They would get off. She walked down a long road where there were several abandoned warehouses. They followed her to a wearhouse 413.
She took off her rucksack and took a page. She looked down and at it and then looked up. She then looked down at the mp. She then put it away. She then encircled it. Then she ran in. They then ran after her and peaked inside. There, she saw that she was looking around the almost empty warehouse. She looked in one box and pulled out a piece of paper. She then quickly read it. She took out another and read that. She stood there reading page after page.
“What is she doing?”
“Investigating.”
