The Nine Dragons The Dragon Infirno Part Nine
The Fall Of Fire
Loc, after a good and long rest, arrived at the chamber where the dragon dwelled. It was made of lava in the shape of a dragon with fire in his eyes. Which reminded her of the eyes of the previous world that she was in. Which seemed like years ago, even though it could not have been more than seven or eight months.
It opened it’s large mouth and threw flames towards her like a wave. She stretched out in front of her. Yet even though she stopped the fire in front of her, it did nothing to stop the fire on the far side of her. She walked on only to be hit by something above.
The next moment she was on the ground, pushing herself up from the rock. She looked up to see a blast of fire coming right at her! Shr stopped it again. She then looked up as she felt the force of the fire increase in pressure. She forced it on but the pressure built and built until she was smothered by the fire. It was like a thousand needles of ice had pierced her entire body.
She had to think of something different so she parted the flames and ran to the dragon. She was about to draw her sword when she saw more fire coming at her. She quickly parted the flames and ran on and on. When she reached the dragon she drew her sword and stabbed it. She forced it in further and forced it to get cooler and cooler and cooler.
Yet it slashed her down and she bashed her head. Things momentarily went black. The next thing she knew was the pain in her stomach.
Then the dragons flew. She cried out in pain as she forced herself up. She was on her feet and, with great pain, pulled out the thing in her stomach to see that it was none other than Peble. She pointed it at the dragon.
It breathed fire again and she raised her blade to flames. The flames were devoured by the sword. Then she jumped up and stabbed it and soon the sword was sucking the fire in. This caused the dragon to fly up higher in the air. Shr then saw that it opened it’s jaw. She summoned a fireball and threw it at the dragon. Yet it missed. She did it again and it missed again. She did it again and again and again and yet it never hit once.
Why? Why am I not getting it?
Then she saw the fire coming. She used her power to split it and as she did she felt the power of the fire increase, yet she did all that she could to hold on but soon the force became too powerful and she was hit. She hit the back of the wall and she reached out as she started to fall. She gripped the wall tightly. Then she felt more and more of the fire on her back like a thousand more needles were being thrust into her back. It became so bad that it managed to burn her back as the blood fell from her back. Yet she forced herself to keep holding of the wall for dear life. She had to push all other things out of her mind as she clutched the wall like a leech.
Come on. There must be something I can do! She thought as she felt something stab her side. looked down at her sword.
She knew that it would be risky but it was the only plan that she had. So she let go of the walls and pulled it out and up. She put it in the direction of the fire and it absorbed the flames. Yet she felt tremors in the sword which made her arms shake. Yet she knew better than to repent. So she kept it trained at the fire until the fire dragon took a break. She then fired a ball of fire above the dragon hitting the hanging comb above. This fell into the dragon and pierced through the body. Yet it dragged it down slightly.
That’s it!
So she hit another one and another this caused more to fall on the fire dragon, dragging down further and further. She continued to do it again and again and again and again, causing it to be dragged down further and further. It let out a blast of fire. She used all her might to push it to the side. Then kept the fire on the ceiling of the cave. Getting more and more rocks to fall on the dragon dragging the dragon further and further down until it was close to the ground.
Then she ran at it and stabbed it in the eye, putting it out. It hit her and she rolled and rolled and rolled. She used the momentum to roll up and sent a fireball at the hand to prevent it from pulling the sword out. She ran on and on and on. She saw a blast of fire coming. She swiped it to the right. She ran on and on and on. She saw another and swiped to the left. Then another and swiped to the right. Another, to the left, another, to the right, then the left, then the left, then the right, then the left. Soon she reached it and threw out her hand and willed it to become cooler and cooler and cooler and cooler.
She was hit and rolled again and then rolled up again. She charged at it again and, again, started her fire swiping. Right, left, right, left, right, left, right. She was able to reach it again. She thrust her hand towards it and willed it to become cooler and cooler and cooler and cooler. She saw Peble absorb more and more and more and more of the fire dragon. She kept her hand on the dragon and made it become colder and colder and colder.
As she did, she felt a strain rise in her and her energy got lower and lower and lower. She continued as she could feel her fatigue sink deeper and deeper into her like the fangs of a snake. Then she looked at the body as it became cold as ice and all the flames were absorbed in the sword.
She smashed the head as she collapsed and her eyes closed.
