The Nine Dragons The Dragon Infirno Part Six
Kicked Out
Loc did not know how long she had been asleep, all she knew was that she ached all over and she could hardly move. She tried to raise her hand but she could not. She tried to get up but she could not do that either. It was as if she was trapped in stone. Yes as her eyes darted around she knew that it was not the case and her body had not yet fully recovered.
She heard a roar of people like the roaring ocean just louder. Yet it became louder and louder and louder. This was followed by the scent of smoke. As her eyes looked around her, she could see all the fire all around her.
Where did all of that come from? She wondered.
The lava giants? She thought only to realise that she said it out loud as her body flipped up so fast that it caused a cramp in her stomach. She covered it. Then she felt hands grab her forearms. Shethen felt arms around her waist.
“Yes, the army!”
“What happened?”
“You missed one.”
“Nearly killed half the town if we hadn’t o’ tricked it into the pool.”
“And everyone else?”
“Some got killed by the fire, others by the one that you missed, yet some by the ones you cooled down before you smashed to bits.”
“So that’s half the town!”
“So congratulations! You killed half o’ the town!”
“Yeah. That’s why you’ve got to go.”
“We can’t have you getting anyone else killed!”
Soon other men grabbed her by the legs and they all picked her up. She tried to move but their grip was far too tight. She also knew that her body had not restested enough to put all of her strength into getting free. That was when she felt one of them put something around her waist. She was about to open her mouth. Then the one to the right looked at her sternly.
“You didn’t get those from us. You stole them, right?” He said, sternly.
She was too stunned to reply.
“Right?” He growled this time.
“R-right.” She stuttered as she felt something being put on her back.
“You stole your weapons back, right?”
“Right.”
She felt them carry her further and further away.
“We didn’t give you nothing. We threw you out and you were hungry so you stole all of that and you felt justified in what you did because of our ingratitude, right?”
“Right.”
Soon they were near the border.
“Neither did we wish you luck and you are not the reason that we are getting out of here and going across the water, right?”
“Exactly!”
Soon they all crossed the line. They all dropped her right there and then and went to leave.
“By the way, how long was I out?”
“A day and a half.” He called as they all ran as fast as they could from her. She then felt the painful hunger and slowly rose up and sat down. She pulled out a wooden box and slid it open revealing cold rice and chicken. She ate some of it before sliding it back and popping it away. Then, when she had fully rested, she left the town behind.
