Scar A Lonely Escort Final Part

 Hollow Warmth

The moment that the door disappeared Morana knew something was going on. The moment that Beatrice and Britannia ran through the frame confirmed it. Quickly they ran out of the cell as Morana kept her guard up in case of traps. They ran down the corridor and she followed her husband as she gripped her daughters hands tightly as he ran up a flight of stairs and to the right then up another flight of stairs and to the left and soon they left the underground structure.

They were greeted by a spherical stone that had a glowing blue substance that was dripping off it. They then heard the sound of weeping as they looked at the glowing runes fade out. They walked on and Beatrice and Britannia tripped over something. They both looked down to see the dead bodies of Ephah and Damia. At this they screamed. Morana went to dive at them only to stumble over something herself and she looked down to see the dead eyes of Charnette looking directly at her.

Her eyes widened as she looked around to see where Scar was and soon followed the sound of the weeping. Then she saw her, in a ball on the ground, vomit underneath her and shaking as she cried. She rocked to and fro as she spotted a gun to the side.

Then she walked up to her and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. She gasped as she looked at her. Her horrified eyes were red and puffy and her cheeks and eyelids were slightly swollen.

“Did you do this?” She asked, trying to put on a comforting smile.

She nodded as she crawled back slightly.

“Scar?”

She looked up to see Beatrice and Britannia then she relaxed slightly as she could only let out a sigh of relief. That was when Beatrice walked up to her and slapped her.

“Why did you send us away? If we knew that this was going on we would have got Dad to help you!”

She looked down and shook her head.

“You-you c-couldn’t. I-I’m dangerous. You-your m-mum knew tha-that s-something like the-this would happen, if-if you continued to involve yourselves with me and she didn’t want anything to happen to you she told me to stay away from you.” She explained through her tears as it took all the power within her to push through her shock.

Morana had to suppress her shock too. She had told another lie to them.

“So sorry. I didn’t want anything to happen to you.”

“It’s alright. We’re safe now.”

“Yeah.”

Morana looked back at the witches and back to her.

“Good work Scar.”

She looked at her stunned. Yet she quickly masked this.

“Th-thank you Mrs Smith and I’m sorry that all of this had to happen.”

She nodded.

“It’s alright. Just keep solving those crimes of yours.”

At this she bowed her head and nodded.

“Can we go home now?” Asked Britannia.

“Not before we get some sleep and then food.”

“But first we need to get out of here.”

“No! Sleep first.”

So they found a room and slept there. In the morning they set fire to the place and left it all behind
