Bounty Hunter Bash Friend Lock Final Part
A Smiling Girl
The following day they group woke up. Cerpheres started cooking a lamb stew that smelt delicious. Chashathrophogh looked down at the cuff as Bash was hugging Strena and rocking her back and forth like a mother. She closed her eyes as she breathed in and out to calm herself as he could see her struggling suppressing her tears. That was when Zaryb placed a hand on her head.
“So, Grasharlo made another cuff. Why?” He asked Zaryb.
Zaryb looked at Strena as she went rigid as she looked at him with pleading eyes. Her face went pale and her breath was faster as she shook her head. That was when Zaryb’s face changed to the cruel look. Chashathrophogh knew that it was Wolfox. At this he looked at the girl for a moment. Then he punched him.
“I prefer to talk to my friend, Zarry, not you! And girl, keep your secret if you want, but do tell us when you are ready.”
She jumped but she nodded.
“Girl, speak up.”
“Yes.”
“Ohh, come now! Don’t you see that you’re scaring her?”
Chashathrophogh glared at him. He was clearly not in the mood. He was tired and angry at the fact that he was tied to another, and now, this time there were two people. Now he had another person to find. He just wanted to break the spell over him and Bash and go home to his chickens.
Sure hope that they haven’t started eating each other, again.
Cerpheres smiled.
“You mad?”
“Yes. I am. Now tell me, why don’t I just kill you right here and now?”
He chuckled.
“What?”
“Do you know how to heal?”
“No.”
“Then that’s why. Here, you all need to fill your beautiful little tummies!”
Chashathrophogh rolled his eyes.
“I’m not in the mood for your jokes!” Chashathrophogh shouted, taking out a knife.
“Alright, let’s dance!”
He let out a huff.
“And stop talking like that!”
“Make me!” He purred.
Bash rolled her eyes as they broke out into a fight. She then looked at Strena. She was shaking and in tears. She clutched her head. She sat down next to her.
“Are you alright?”
“No..yes…I mean-”
“It’s alright. He won’t kill you. I won’t let him.”
She looked up at her, almost wondering if what she had said was a trick. She placed a hand on her head and smiled.
“You see, if he tries anything I’ll take him on and bring him down!”
“You-y oh will?”
“Yeah. So cheer up.”
She put a smile on her face, yet it was not a happy one. It was weak and exposed that she was still upset.
“Tell me, what do you like to do?”
“Write.”
“Then go and write. Let the men get their fighting out of their system.”
She smiled slightly more genuinely.
“What’re you beauties talking about?”
Bash screamed as she punched him in the face. He smiled and licked the blood off the corner of his lip and chuckled.
“That scream was so cute!”
Bash rolled her eyes.
“Excuse me! You get on with your writing. Okay? I have something to get out of my system.”
She did as Bash joined in the fight. She then wrote down all that she could.
“What’re you writing?” Purred Cerpheres in her ear.
She let out a scream as she went to stab him in the hand. She looked at him shocked as he caught her hand before it stabbed. He licked his lips.
“You know you look like an interesting book yourself!”
At this Zaryb threw a knife at him. He caught the blade in his teeth.
“Careful!”
That was when a plate of stew hit him in the face.
“Nice one!”
He spat out the blade.
“No fair!”
Then Strena chuckled.
“Well, you know what they say, all’s fair in a fight!”
“It’s ‘all’s fair in love and war’! But if you wanna fight. I’ll give you one!”
He ran to them and Strena returned to writing with a smile. Soon after they all ate their stew and Strena ate it with a smile as they laughed about the fight.
