Scar A Lonely Escort Part Ten
Arrival
They walked on and on as they looked at the path ahead. She could see the place in the distance. They would be there by evening if they had no interruptions. So they looked up at the cliff that they saw before they would arrive at the place. That should be the only hard part. So they kept their eyes on the place as they walked on and on and on.
That was when they came to a wood. They soon walked in only for Scar to see a rock coming at them. She pulled Morana out of the way before her shoulder was hit. She let out a grunt as she looked up where it came from. She saw a giant humanoid creature with a tiny head and large ears and face. His body was well built and his hands and feet were all the size of a man’s head. He wore the plain skin of animals all over his body.
That was when she saw the next rock. She dived out of the way. Then she saw another rock. She dived out of the way again. She did this again and again and again, dodging each and every rock. She then spotted that it started charging at them. She pulled out her crossbow. She loaded it and fired at the head. Only for her to miss. Then she loaded it again and fired at the legs. Again, she missed. She fired at where the thigh was going. She only just hit. It let out a roar. Then they spotted that it did nothing to stop the creature from coming closer and closer. Shr fired at the other thigh. She hit and again it did nothing. Then Morana fired at the head and this missed. She fired at the body but this did nothing to stop it either.
“What is that?” Scar asked.
“An ogre!”
She flicked at her with wide eyes. Yet she knew that she did not have any time to appreciate that.
So she took the initiative and firedat the chest. She hit the lung. Then this stopped the ogre as it tried to gather its breath. She then was able to fire at the head and it fell.
“You would make for a good Night Hunter.”
At this Scar placed a hand on her head. Suddenly she felt shy and smiled slightly.
“Thank you Mrs Smith.”
Morana looked at her and smirked. Yet her smile did not last long. They walked on and on and on.
They came to the clifface by noon. Then they all put their weapons away and then climbed. That was when Scar started to feel her hunger start to get to her. Yet she pushed herself on and on and on. Soon her stomach became painful but she pushed on. Her body felt light and weak as she pushed herself on. Her body felt light and weak as she pushed herself on and on. She could feel the sharp rock cut into her fingers as she pushed herself up. She could feel her body start to sweat in her exhaustion. Yet she forced herself on and on. She saw the next notch and pushed off the previous one and grabbed it. She kept her eyes on the top to see how long she had to climb. She could feel her arms and legs starting to ache as her stomach hurt more and more and more. Yet she pushed herself on. She moved halfway up as she kept her focus. She could feel her mind becoming foggy and her arms and legs started to ache more and more and more and when she was three quarters up they started to shake. When she reached the top her shaking arms and legs felt like jelly.
Morana reached after.
Scar looked to see how long she had left and saw that it was still a long way to go. At this she passed out. When she woke up, she saw Morana cooking and gave some couscous with vegetables.
“Eat. If you don’t, I will force that down your throat.”
She nodded and wolfed it down. She passed it back to her.
“Thank you.”
“Right. Let’s go this over with. And if you pass out again, I don’t care what the witches do to you, it won’t compare to the hiding that I will give you!”
She nodded as they walked on and on. She followed her as fast and as long as she could. She knew that her body felt better but she could not help but feel dread building in her. She remembered her time with the witches and what they did to her. She remembered itaz clear as day. She felt her hand tug at the sleeve of her arm. She looked down at the cuffs and her.
“Urm…Mrs Smith, you should take these off me.”
She looked back.
“Why would I do that?”
“So that I can throw them away.”
She frowned for a moment. Then she let out a gasp. Then looked at her with wicked eyes as she relaxed her facial features and did it. Scar threw them as far away as she could before they turned back and they walked on and on and on and they finally arrived at nightfall
The witches were there waiting for them.
“Took you long enough.”
Soon Scar reached for her crossbow, only to find that it was gone! She looked to the side to see that they were gone too! Next she looked at Morana’s side to see that her gun was gone too!
“Urm…Mrs Smith..”
Morana looked to her side to see that it was gone. Shd then looked for all of her other guns and magazines only to see that they were gone too!
“‘Mrs Smith's? She’s not calling you ‘mother’ or ‘mum’ yet?” Asked Charnette.
“No. Why would she do that?”
“Are you not the one that gave birth to her, dear little Morana?”
“Yes.”
“Then why don’t you make her call her that?”
“Because she’s not my daughter. Now bring me my daughters and my husband!”
“No. I think that we will keep them.”
“I gave you what you wanted, now bring me my kids!”
“Not yet. Although, I forgot to congratulate you for the husband and other girls.”
Morana could do nothing but glare at them. She should have known better. She should have known that it would not have been so easy. But no, she let her hatred of the Mythos Puros blind her from it.
“Speaking of which, I can see that the Mythos Puros has grown into such a beautiful little girl!”
“I bet that you have broken many little hearts, or, at least, you would have broken many little hearts.”
“But enough about that. We have plenty of time for that later, but for now-”
Damia clicked her fingers and they were both in a cell. One that had walls covered with blades pointing at them.
