Doormaze Drage The Orange World Part Five
Witness Of A Monster
Of Fire
They soon found a road. Doormaze felt way better having being healed by Dark Curse, however, Burn was the one that was keeping a look on her face like she was sucking an extremely sour sweet. Especially after she had been told what had happened. Yet Doormaze had been spending several minutes debating in her head whether or not she should ask about this.
“Tell me, did Dark Curse ask you for his price?”
“No. Why? Should I’ve asked?”
“Yes. After all, villains don’t give the heroes something like this for nothing, you know.”
Doormaze looked down.
“Oh.”
Why did I not think about that?
“I will take it on board later.” She muttered.
“You better.”
She looked on.
“At least we can handle the heat better now.”
“Yeah, we can.”
“So what should we do with this road?”
“Walk on it and see where it leads.”
“But what if it leads to more fire?”
“I don’t know. It seems that it is the only lead we have to something.”
The other two looked at each other then shrugged. So they all walked on the road and, as they did, they kept an eye on the road, just in case there were coals on them. Yet as they did, they could see a wall of fire far in the distance ahead of them on the horizon. They all looked at each other for a moment in dread. That was when they spotted that the flame moved from left to right. Yet as they walked on and on they noticed that the flame was moving left to right and on. Then as the flame came closer and closer, they saw that it was humanoid in appearance. Then as they continued they quickly saw the hands pick up a rock. It then moved it above it’s hand and placed it down on the left. It sent a blast of fire at the rock, melting it in it's place. Yet they could see that it had orange eyes and had humanoid legs and feet.
“What is that?”
“I don’t want to know.”
“I don’t think that we have a choice!”
“Oh..Oh!”
“But now what?”
“Find more or, at least, something edible and drinkable.”
“Agreed.”
So they walked off the road.
