The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Twenty-Six

 Inside The Dragon

Loc fell down the esophagus and gained speed until her body slapped into the stomach acid. Suddenly she felt the burning all around her. Yet she looked up to see the whole stomach was like a large glowing lake. She could see that there were corpses of all the men all around her. Yet she could not even count just how many there were in the dim light.

She lit a ball of fire to get a good look around to see the dead and half digested face of Kai. At this she let out a scream. Then, as she looked on, she saw more and more dead bodies that were just alive a moment ago. She also noticed that there were more and more dead bodies and some skeletons too! All around her and some sank beneath the clear stomach acid.

Yet there was one deep beneath her that caught her eye. It was one coated in black armour that she had not seen before in this world. However she had seen material like that back in her world! It was black dragon scale armour. She could tell by the pattern and the absolute beauty of the black metal.

So she, knowing that she did not have a choice, set the dead bodies alight and let herself mourn them all. She cried and cried. She was a fool, she was an absolute fool! She had led more men to their deaths and another rebellion that she led had been wiped out. In fact, she not only led them to their deaths but made them believe that they could take down Pendragon. If only she knew that he was this big! If only she knew that the moment she killed the first soldier it would lead to this! If she had then she would have done nothing. She would have done absolutely nothing.

But will you let their deaths be in vane? Are you going to stay here and do nothing? Look beneath you. Will you not have a peek at that skeleton? Whispered a voice in her head.

She looked back down to it and blinked the tears away and swam down. She could feel the stomach acid burn the inside of her wounds. Yet she knew that she had no choice but to swim on and on and on. She could tell that there was a long way to go. She noticed that her vision was getting dim and red as her clothes started to dissolve as they were being digested, especially the leather. Yet as she swam on and on as fast as she could and after what seemed like an hour she finally reached the black armour.

I knew it. It is black dragon scale armour of my world alright. She thought as she then spotted one thing around his neck that caught her eye.

She reached out to get a better look at it to see that it was a pendant of a purple dragon scale chain. She pulled it off as she saw that it was none other than a piece of a Reality Sphere! She soon pulled it off and placed it next to the piece that Wolf Raven gave her. Only for both to fuse into one piece!

It’s the same one?

At this, she smiled despite the pain and her brain and lungs screaming for air. Yet by this time, she saw that her shirt was almost gone! Quickly she pulled the armour off the skeleton and put it on the purple chainmail and put on the black armour. This covered her body.

Then she looked up. She could feel that Pendragon was climbing through the air causing pressure to be put on her ears. So she swam up as fast as she could. She knew that she had to get to the top as fast as she could. After all, if she did not, then she would spend the rest of eternity in the acid of this dragon. She let her desperation push her on and on and on. She could hear her lungs and mind screaming for her to take a deep breath. Yet she forced herself to resist this as much as she could. She made sure that she used all her will to stop herself from giving in.

She could feel her head, lungs and heart pounding as she swam higher and higher. She knew that she had to get up higher and higher as she forced herself on and on and on. She could feel the itching as her body was repairing the damage of the stomach acid. She could see that her vision was getting dimmer and dimmer as her body felt colder and colder as the stomach acid burned her body. Yet she pushed herself on and on. She had to endure it.

Suddenly she thought that she was back in that ocean, swimming to shore. She could even smell the echo of the salt of the sea. She could hear the waves and the crushing of the current. This made her panic as she was afraid for a moment that the fish in that ocean was eating away at her flesh. She looked down to see that there was no fish, only the stomach acid eating away at her body.

So she pushed herself on and on until she finally reached the top. She noticed that there was pain all over her body along with itching. She looked down to see that her whole body had holes in it! She could see that there was bone exposed too!

At this, she swam and swam to the direction of the stomach lining. This took her over an hour. Yet she could see with every stroke less and less of her came out! However she did all that she could to swim and swim and swim and fast and hard as she could nevertheless. She kicked and kicked and kicked despite feeling less and less of her leg.

Then she felt a great burning from her stomach which flooded through her insides. Yet she pushed herself on and on and on. Soon she could feel her insides less and less. Soon she found it hard to breathe.

Then she spotted that her legs were starting to fail her. Yet she still pushed herself on and on and on. Then she looked to her right to see that there were more and more holes in her arms to a point that her flesh looked more like Swiss cheese. However she kept pushing herself on and on.

Soon her breath failed her. Then her limbs failed her. Then she was powerless but to lie there as all went black.
