Doormaze Drage A World Of Truth Part Four

 Regrouping 

Coalmine could feel her heart in her ears. She had done it now. She knew that if she did not do something then she would be in trouble with the dragons and she would never be accepted in their ranks. Nor would they give her any respect whatsoever. She knew that if she did not, at least, prove herself useless then they would eat her. She also knew that they would not eat her whole. No, they would eat her alone and alive.

She felt ill as she remembered Rosy, her childhood and only friend. She had platinum blond hair and ice grey eyes and a bright smile despite the fact that they were in a hellish situation. She thought back on the day that she got the job and it was also the day that she lost her.

“Coalmine, Rosy, Master Dark Destiny has requested your presence.” Jim, a guy with a crop of brown hair and eyes, said.

He was another human slave. There were one hundred in total. She knew that once the true dragon king had taken power they all would have been freed. Then again, she could not quite know. However, the fact that they were able to move to the world after, she could assume that they would have been.

The dragons walked them to the head dragons. She could see Dark Genocide, sleeping in his throne. She had always known that he was never the true one in charge, no that was always either Dark Curse or Dark Destiny. (Mainly Dark Curse) Then she saw that they were looking at the girls in a way that she did not like.

“Don’t worry, Coal, it will be alright.” Rosy assured her as she held her hand to comfort her. She had always known when she was scared and knew how to ease her.

Yet there was something about the expression on the dragons’ faces that made her not quite sure. She knew that the expression was like a pair of wolves that was about to devour their prey. She could feel her stomach dropping as they walked further and further into the room.

Ahead of them were two goblets on a table.

“Tell me do you want to become a dragon?” Dark Curse purred.

That was when Coalmine took a step forward.

“Will it get me some respect around here?” She asked.

He drew close to her and sniffed.

“Perhaps… It depends on you and your performance!”

He then looked at Rosy, who was now shaking in her boots. Now she knew that she should be concerned. Usually she would be able to hide her fear but not right now. She even bit down a scream as his head turned to her.

“And you?”

“Urm…N-no. I think that I will be too scared to. You are all scary and I don’t want to become scary.” She replied.

He smiled and nodded.

“So be it. Coalmine, drink the potion in the goblet.”

She nodded and did it without hesitation. 

Coalmine shivered in the present, remembering the pain. Then the memory of being able to hear and see better and her hand was in a fire, not being burned.

“Drink the second.”

She did and the pain was blinding. The next thing she knew was that she was waking up with wings and she let out a few flames from her mouth. 

Then Dark Curse came close to her.

“How do you feel?”

She shrugged.

“Alright.”

He chuckled before he and Dark Destiny turned to Rosy.

“Now for you!”

The next moment they took a bite out of her! She screamed and cried in pain.

“Rosy!” She cried as they took more and more bites out of her, staining her hair with vivid scarlet. Rosy tried to run but they soon tore away at her legs, piece by piece. They chewed more than they had to so that the agony would last longer. Then they would take more. She ran and ran to her as all she could see her crawl away screaming and weeping. Then they continued to dive at her and soon she could hear only the weeping before the last scream. She never reached her in time to see the last of her.

“W-why d-d-did y-you d-d-do that? You did not need to do that!”

“We did.”

“Why!”

“We needed to teach you a lesson.”

“What lesson?!”

“What will happen to you if you fail or betray us.”

At this she looked at the dragons with wide eyes as tears flowed seamlessly. 

“What?”

“We will be sending you to spy on your twin sister’s progress through the multiverse.”

Coalmine let out a deep breath as she pushed the memory from her mind. She did not have the time to think about that right now. She had to produce something to get into said twin sister’s good books. Yet, as she walked on, she only just realized that she had not even thought about Rosy until now. She noticed just how much Doormaze and Burn reminded her of Rosy.

She soon walked to the first person she came to.

“Why can’t I lie?” She asked him.

“The Mayor’s older twin brother made sure we can’t. He’s in that castle over there.”

“Thank you.”

She soon ran to the castle and the doors opened. She flew in and the moment that she saw him, she let out a jet stream of fire. He only just outstretched his hand and the fire died. She went to fly at him and the next moment she hit the wall. Then she saw her body about to hit the ground. She flapped down and was only just able to break her fall.

She got up and picked up a blade on the ground. She then fired a fire ball at him. He flicked it away. She charged on and fired more and more. He flicked each and every one of them away. Yet she kept it up until she reached him. She blasted at him point blank. Yet as soon as he stopped it she went to cut the hand off. Only to feel his hand around her wrist and pain flooded throughout her body.

Then she hit the floor panting. She banged the ground in frustration. She looked up and went to whack him again and again and again. Only for him to laugh and the next moment a force dragged her back and she felt a wing snap as she hit the ground. The scream in pain escaped her lips before she could stop it.

He laughed.

“Come back when you are ready!” He sang barely able to hide his laugh.

The next moment she passed out. The next thing that she knew was she was waking in Mayor Millrose’s home looking directly at Doormaze’s angry face.
