Doormaze Drage A World Of Truth Part Two

 Separation

Doormaze Drage took her twin by the collar and pulled her in and tried her best to keep herself calm.

“Are you saying that you have been telling me that those dragons, that have our father, older sister and Kai, let you go?”

“Yes.”

“What for?”

“To spy on you.” She said as she grabbed her by the wrist.

“Why?”

“So that I can become a dragon!”

At this Doormaze’s jaw dropped as her eyes widened. Then she frowned and narrowed her eyes in confusion.

“What? Y-you want to become one of them? You actually want to become one of them?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“If I said, would you understand? Would you want to understand?”

At this Doormaze punched her before she could even stop her. She collided with the ground. Doormaze climbed on top of her and punched her again and again and again. Then he pulled her up.

“Make me understand!”

She just looked to the side. There was clear anger in her eyes as her eyes started to water up. This caused Doormaze to roll her eyes.

You have to the count of three to make me understand or I will do something that I know I will regret, dear sister! One…two…three!

At this she went to rain down punches on her again but Burn stopped her and covered her eyes.

“Why are you stopping me?!” She cried as she felt the tears coming down.

“You need to calm down. NOW!”

Her eyes widened.

“What? Calm down! Calm down? How can I calm down! Those dragons have ruined my life! They ruined my mother’s life and my father’s life! They ruined my sister’s life! My uncle's life! Kai’s life and even her own! And she is on their side? Why would I calm down?”

“Because the Basilisk’s Eye is activated. You’re gonna kill her!”

At this her fist dropped.

“Maybe she deserves it. After all, she’s the reason I don’t even know my mum and dad.” She spat darkly and bitterly as she walked away as she could not help but weep silently.

“Door-”

“STAY AWAY FROM ME!”

Coalmine looked away as she walked on.

“C’mon Burn. We have some investigating to do.” She stormed as they split.

“I think that I will do my own. After all, you need to take some time to cool off or you’re gonna accidentally kill someone!”

She took a deep breath as she looked down and nodded. She closed her eyes and thought of the kiss that Kai gave her and soon she felt calmer. She opened her eyes.

“Better?”

“Better.”

“Now, let’s go. We need to find out what is going on here.”

Doormaze nodded.

“Yes. We do.” She said as she breathed in and out as she forced herself to calm down.

“Right.”

Doormaze walked to the nearest person. She had sandy blond hair and hazel eyes and peach skin.

“Are you alright?”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“I told my husband a month ago, I caught him cheating on me. I didn’t mean to and I wanted to work it out but he left and divorced me. He told me that he never loved me and only wanted me because our parents forced him into it.” She said as she started to cry. “And the worst thing is he never was going to say it and I still love him!”

She was soon sobbing leaving Doormaze astonished at this. Yet, as she did not have the time to focus upon that, Doormaze let out a deep breath and she embraced her and stroked her comfortingly.

“An have people been telling the truth since then?”

She nodded.

“My sister told me soon after that our mother told her that she never loved her and only loved me and was always jealous of me. Which broke that relationship up but I still love her too!”

She nodded.”

“I’m sorry.”

She nodded.

“Why did this start?”

She took a moment to calm herself down.

“I don’t know! But I do know that our Mayor Millrose knows. She is in the big house.”

They nodded as they walked up to the modest sized mansion that looked like a white ancient Roman or Greek building. They walked to the dark oak double doors and knocked on it.

A woman with black hair and eyes answered. She had a pale face and a tired look in her eyes.

“Are you Mayor Millrose?”

“Yes, I am. What do you want?” She spoke in a deep voice and a Canadian or American accent.

“To know why everyone can’t lie?”

She looked down in shame.

“Are you from around here?”

“No.”

She frowned.

“Thought not. Tell me, where do you come from?”

“A different world.”

She looked up for a moment and looked to the side as she processed the answer and nodded.

“Come in.”

They did and she made them a cup of tea.

“Tell me, there was supposed to be a third one from another world to save my town. Where is she?”

Doormaze Drage curled her lip as she looked away.

“I sent her away.”

Mayor Millrose narrowed her eyes as she frowned.

“You shouldn’t have done that. The prophecy foretold that Dartru can only be defeated by three from another world, who must come together. If they aren’t all there, they will fail.”

Doormaze had to force herself to not look at the woman as her eyes darkened.

“We will see. So where is this Dartru and why did he make it so that no one can lie?”

“He lives in the old castle at the top of the hill. Very difficult to miss. For your second question, he did this because he wanted to just have a laugh.”

At this Doormaze’s jaw dropped.

“What?”

Mayor Millrose raised her eyebrow.

“You heard!”

“Then we will go now.”

“You’ll fail!”

Doormaze shook her head.

“No, we won’t!” She said as they drank their tea and set off to the castle.
