The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Sixteen

 Strike Of The Final Army


It was early in the morning and the sun had not yet risen. Loc knew that this was the best time to arrive and take the first division out. She, along with all the men and eagles, were tired of waiting for all the armies to arrive and knew that it was time to take the battle to them. She looked down to see the giant wyverns the size of houses. Then she looked back.

“What’s your suggestion?”

“Why ask her?”

“Brother.”

“Sh! They will hear.”

“Oh, right. Thank you!”

“Don’t thank her, you should have known better!”

“Well we go from the to go from the to the top and at all sides. We will have to take out as many as we can while they sleep. Yet the moment that they wake up is when we need to worry.”

“The rest nodded.”

“Coward!”

“Strategic. Also, we need to pay attention as much as we can.”

“Right.”

“Is this-”

“Not the time. So all of you, tell the others and the first thing to do it take them out before they even come round or wake up.”

“Right.”

“I still don’t like it, brother.”

“I know.”

They relayed the orders and soon took their positions. Then some men took their eagles and took to the skies.

The men on the ground charged as silently as they could to the ones at the ends. Then they slit the throats as fast as they could before running on to the next one and the next one and the next one. They did this again and again and again. 

Then one of the wyverns breathed in deeply and could smell the blood in the air which caused his eyes to open. Just to see a man just about to slit the throat. It arched its neck back and let out a roar that woke up the rest of them before letting out a blast of fire. 

Loc saw this and quickly stopped as much of the fire as she could. Then the men charged on and slit their throats. Then some took to the fire as the rest fired balls of fire. Yet, even though she could stop most of them, she could not stop all of them. This caused some of the men to have to dodge out of the way. Yet there were those that were too slow and were soon a pile of ash.

Yet none of the eagles or men in the air could do anything about it and had to fire down at the body and wing. Some hit and this ripped holes which caused them to start to fall. So they kept this up again and again and again. Soon some hit the ground and the men below charged at them and slit their throats. Then more fell down. Some charged at them and slit their throats but there were some that could not get out of the way in time. The ones that were quick were able to dive out of the way and dive back to their throats. Before another one dropped and, again they were able to dive out of the way and sliced the throats. Then they had to get out of the way of another and another.

Yet the wyverns were able to fly higher and higher. Then the men and eagles were hit in the heads by wyverns above them. This caused them to fall. Yet other ones were able to dive out of the way again and again and again. Then they were hit. Yet the ones that were able to fly higher and higher were hit by the eagles who were able to fire arrow after arrow at them.

Soon they were on their backs and the men were able to take down another fifty. Then another and then another and another as each and every one of them fell.

This caused them to fly down and let out a blast of fire. However the eagles were able to take most of the army. Then more were able to charge at them and this took out another fifty. Then they were able to take out the last of the first division and they burned the bodies. Before moving onto the dead men.

  The Boa Army Loc was working hard in the field. It was getting to evening time. She had found that she liked working there as a farmer. There was just something so satisfying in doing hard work and made the food taste better and she slept better too. She could see herself doing this for the rest of her life however long that would be, yet she knew that she could not. Regardless of how much she liked the village and the people there. She had noticed that the people there looked almost like the people in her world just without any pupils and they were weaker too. She also noticed that despite this, they were all hard working and nothing was eaten until they had done their work.  The Army Against The Last  Loc had a light nap before waking up to see the fakegels, a name she had come up with after the fight and handed the second borns over to the rest of the first borns. She could see the men also taking a light nap, just like she was. Yet she knew that she did not have time to wake them. So she pulled out her sword as she could not be bothered to get Rock and Stone.  Sorrowful Rest Loc spent most of her time between sleep and rest in the underground library, as she tried to stop herself from crying.  Water It was a whole week when they arrived at Dalane Lake. They had, by that point, been out of their supplies for a day before they arrived. They were all exhausted and were at their wits ends.
