The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Three

 A Convened Army

Loc had only just finished her lunch when an army of soldiers arrived. At this she charged at them and went to strike the first one. Only for their blades to meet.

“Woah there!” He sang as he raised his helmet revealing the black eyes and brunette hair and short beard.

“We’re not one of Pendragon’s armies!”

“Oh. And who are you?”

That was when another took off his helmet. He had green hair and brown eyes with a blond goatie.

“We are the knights of King Su. The true king of this land. Yet he sent us here to help you in any way we can! After all, we can tell that this will be the only time that this planet can be really free from the dragons forever. A thing that our king has been praying for since he could speak!”

She nodded.

“Do you have a name?”

“Sir Kakashi.”

Her eyes returned to the one whose sword and hers were still touching.

“And you?”

“Sir Gin.”

She nodded.

“And why hasn’t he tried to take down Pendragon, himself?”

“He has. As all kings of this land have done before him.”

She raised her eyebrow and nodded.

“Which is why he made sure to send us to you, the one that has slain all the dragons that have come before!”

“He, from what he has seen, knows that you need help. Regardless of what you think or say.”

“And why isn’t he here to tell me himself?”

“He, unfortunately, can not. After all he can not leave the castle due to his injuries that he received in his battle. He then told all of us that if we are to come here we all should expect to die.”

She dropped her sword and nodded.

“Now what?”

“Well, what should we expect from the first army?”

“They are giant wyverns.”

“The second?”

“Hydras.”

“The last?”

“They are giant wyrms.”

She nodded as she looked down for a moment.

“Their generals?”

“All have names.”

At this she widened her eyes.

“The wyrm general?”

“Kuromoru.”

“The Hydra?”

“Oroch.”

“The wyverns?”

“Basilisk.”

She nodded.

“Right. Can the wyrms burry underground here too?”

“No.”

“And how big are they?”

“The size of a street.”

“A long one or a short one?”

“Five to seven semi detached houses.”

She nodded.

“Kuromoru?”

“Fifteen.”

She nodded.

“How high can they go?”

“As high as two thirds of their body.”

She looked back.

“Right. Eagles, I want you to go up in the sky. Rain down your arrows. Go for the eyes. We will be on the ground to kill them.”

“Right.”

So they spent the rest of the day rehearsing this again and again and again until the sun went down.
