The Nine Dragons Dracula, The Dragon Prince Final Part
Rest Before The Storm
They all took their things and picked up the dead. Loc and a group of men dug the holes to put each and every body that was brought to them in. Yet there was another group that retracted all their long steps to pick up all the dead that they could find and brought them to the group who were digging holes. They went from one room after the other. Then they went from the castle to the underground chambers and then to the walls. They all went throughout the land bringing dead body after dead body. This took up three and a half days, the first two were without sleeping. On the fifth day everyone took their time to mourn them all. They made sure to mourn each and every one of them, man and eagle alike.
So, after this, they all chose their rooms and collapsed in a bed that clearly had not been slept in for centuries. Yet they were all too exhausted to do anything about it. They all slept as soundly as a baby.
Loc soon saw the last dragon in her dreams. She could see that it was clearly larger than all the dragons she had faced before, yet it was still too far away to tell just how big it was. She could tell that it was looking at her. In that moment she could sense that he was really looking at her in their shared dreamscape.
She could sense, in that moment, that ever since she arrived in this world all of them had a shared dreamscape and all of the dragons were looking at her this entire time. Yet now, that there was only one, she could sense it. She knew that she was their enemy and they knew that their reign was going to be challenged.
Yet she could not quite tell if they knew that she was going to bring it all to an end. She could tell that the moment that they met then the future of this world would have been decided. Despite all she had done, she could not help but feel the oppressive atmosphere of the dreamscape. She could sense that the last battle of this world was getting closer and closer.
“I will fight you. I will not go easy on you as my son had. When you enter my domain I will send my armies. You will all do well to die by their hand. It will be far too merciful if that was to be the case. However, my generals will be my final mercy.” She heard in her head. It was a loud voice. She could sense they if she was near the origin of the voice then her ears would bleed and she would become completely deaf for until her ears healed.
Then her eyes opened. She looked outside as she noticed that it was hot and late in the morning. She slid off the bed and noticed that she was coated in dust. Yet she fell back into the bed. Then she rolled off the bed and hit the hard cold tiles. She looked up at the ceiling. She could see a dusty painting of angels above her.
“Aw!” She moaned, yet she slowly rose up and wiped the sleep out of her eyes. She then slowly pushed herself off the ground and looked at her reflection. She noticed that her face was as pale as chalk. Her hair and the white crop of hair had grown out.
When did my hair get so long?
Well, it hasn’t been cut since-
She froze as she remembered Lamia cutting her hair. Her fingers touched the black star between her eyebrows then to the rose made by that evil fairy. She let out a sigh as she calmed herself down. Yet as she did she could not help but wonder about Mortyamikira. The killing star that she gave birth to and came out of her mouth. She cringed at remembering the pain as she wondered if it was still out there. If so, how many had been killed by it?
Does it matter? I can’t return to my world until I find that piece. Once I do, I hope that it will lead to my world and not another world with another fight. Honestly, I am getting sick and tired of all these battles.
That was then she heard cheering outside of the castle. She walked to the window and spotted that the true king of the castle was coming. Quickly she charged to the pools for making the armies and burnt them. Once they were gone she went to another set of pools and quickly cleaned herself and her clothes. Then used her fire powers to dry both herself and her clothes. Then she soon joined the crowd and soon cheered and she joined in
Yet it was at that moment he noticed her. He stopped the parade and climbed off his great stallion then he walked up to her. He soon bent the knee.
“Thank you, Dame Loc.” He spoke before rising.
Suddenly she took a step back, suddenly feeling self conscious.
“No need to thank me.”
“But how will I ever express my gratitude and all that you have done?”
“Be a good king.” She declared.
At this he bellowed a laugh.
“My! That is a great thing to do!”
She smiled as he picked her up and put her on his stallion and trotted them to the castle. They all went into the throne room. She noticed that it was all clean and a new throne sat in the centre of the room. A priest dressed in silver and white held a silver crown with sapphire gems in the points of the crown and there were three lines of diamonds at the base. The king walked up to the throne.
“Tell me, do you swear to do all of your people?”
“I do.”
“Will you put your people above all?”
“I will.”
Then I, Yuki Ryu Shiro the third, priest of the True One, crown you king!” He declared as he placed it on his head.
“Long live the king! Long live the king! Long live the king!” They all cried over and over and over again.
Then they all broke out in applause. She then heard the singing of men in low and high pitches singing in a strange and enchantingly beautiful tune in a language that she could not understand. She did not know what they were singing in their old tongue but it still struck a cord in her. It was like a knife in her heart and yet warm like a mother’s embrace. She could not help but cry as she heard this strange and ancient song, it was like her soul was finally able to rest. A rest that she did not know that she needed.
Later that day, she found herself in the ancient library. She looked down to see the books. She spent her time picking them up and putting them on their respective shelves. Then she spent most of her time getting rest-bite with the rest of the men there. She would pour hours and hours reading book after book. She did not even leave for meals as she became too lost in their words. Yet, when she checked the time, she noticed that it was already night. She would repeat this cycle day after day until she had read all that she could.
Yet, everything changed when the last soldier was healed and battle ready.
“First we find the pool that leads to the last place. Next we scout the area and get to know what is going on. Then we find out the times when the army divisions attack.”
“Then we ought to fly home. After all, we did not know it would be like this. So I did not bring all of us. And now, I know I need to get all my forces ready.”
“Right. Thank you and good luck.”
“Thank you.” Elijah spoke before he flew off with the rest of the eagles.
“I will be better getting in contact with all the other nations and I will do all that I can to send them all your way. Hopefully it will be a fast army that will be able to take all out.”
Loc nodded.
“Then, good luck to you too.”
They soon found the pool and went onto the last nation.
