The Nine Dragons Dracula, The Dragon Prince Part Twenty-One
The Dragon’s Warning
They all entered the throne room. It was large and on the other side was a long destroyed stage area. It also had a long strip in the centre which was also broken. At the base was a large hole where a throne must have been.
“Where’s the dragon?” Asked one.
Yet Loc, who could not help but be reminded of the throneroom of Wolf Raven’s, snapped out of it and looked up. She soon spotted that ahead of them was a large black dragon with scarlet horns going along his spine and golden horns on his head. He had amber cat-like eyes with sharp teeth like knives in his mouth.
“How bold of you to come here.” hHe boomed before fire blasted out of his mouth.
Loc outstretched her hand and stopped the flames. Yet this was not enough as the fire was drawn out at both sides of the edges of his wingspan. Yet she pushed it on and flew up to Dracula’s throat and then went to push the fire back in but he closed it in time. Then he hit her down and she landed.
“Get that mouth open!” She called before getting back up.
She used the fire to get back up in the air and pushed on and on. Then she saw another blast coming down upon her. She pushed the fire apart. She then spotted that she was dropping. Yet she soon went to fly up again but she was hit by a blast of fire. She was about to hit the ground when she lit the fire again and drove herself on. She was then hit by another blast but, before she could even try to return to the air, she was hit again and again and again.
During this time, the eagles spread their wings and took to the air and dashed at Loc. Hoping that she could keep Dracula distracted long enough to do what they needed to do. So they rose up and as they flew above the dragon, they looked down to see that he was looking directly at them. They flew apart as the fire flew out of his mouth.
They barely just managed to get out of the way as the eagles at the edges drew their bows and fired at the wings. Then they reloaded as fast as they could before firing again and again and again. Soon they hit as the ones in the centre of the eagles fired at Dracula’s eyes and kept firing until there was a tear in the wing.
The ones in the middle of the left and right dived at it and looked at Loc. She looked to the wings and knew what to do. She used her fire to shoot up as the centre eagles kept the head busy. She rose up to meet them. Then she saw the fire and pushed the fire to the arrows before they got lodged into the wings.
This collectively set them alight. She then used her power to make the fire spread as far as she could as she fell. Then she felt the flames upon her. Her face was slashed, taking her right eye out of it’s socket! She dived back as the itching erupted before she was snatched in the darkness, instinctively closing her left eye before she felt the breath, the inside of his mouth and heard the jaws clamp down upon her. Her whole body was in the mouth.
She bit into the tongue as Dracula landed. She forced her left eye open and flicked her blade up and struck the top of the mouth. The next thing she felt was her whole body being pressed against the soft pallet. Forcing her to bite down harder and spat out the chunk of dragon tongue in her mouth. Before she could take another bite the tongue forced her jaws together as her right eye regenerated.
Meanwhile outside the army charged at the throat and Dracula rose and whacked to the left and to the right and to the left, again and again and again and again. Yet as this happened the men on the ground raced at both ends. They all kept as silent as they could then stabbed the sides.
He let out a roar as he looked down at them and then swallowed Loc before he let out a blast of fire at them. They all dodged out of the way and dived on. They all slashed the centre of the body and Loc rolled out of the stomach. She was coated with stomach acid and the contents of Dracula’s stomach.
Her eyes opened and stabbed up and cut the heart in half. At this he fell and looked upon them. He then let out a bitter and hollow laugh as they cheered.
“What?” Loc snapped.
“Do you think this is a victory?”
He shook his head as he let out another laugh.
“Well, what else could we call it?”
“The result of foolish dead people who have deluded themselves into believing they can do something.”
“Come on! We beat you! And it was easier than any of us thought!” Spoke a man.
At this he bellowed a laugh that turned into a cough.
“Yes… well…I may be easy…but, my father is not! You will all die before he reaches you…” He could barely whisper before he coughed and his life left him.
