The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part One
Enter The Domane
They all looked at the stone walls ahead. There were several castles and grey stone houses. They were all high and narrow. The streets were also narrow with uneven cobbled roads and very thin pavements. All were well polished yet all of them were empty. The whole place was a marvel but claustrophobic.
They all had to take a step off the pool in single file. Yet when they were all able to get off they all looked at Loc. She looked around for a moment.
“What’s the plan?”
“Well, we have a day until the eagles will come.”
“Hopefully with reinforcements.”
“Hopefully. Although, regardless of if they do,we will need to have something to show for it. After all, we know nothing about this place so we will need to spit up into teams to gather information. One group will be in charge of finding out when the armies will arrive along with what they look like. Another will be about learning about the people of this place and what they’re like. And the last will be all about finding out about the history of this place and where Pendragon lives.”
They all nodded.
“So do that now, and at sundown we will regroup for our next step.”
“Right.”
So they all split and one group was able to find a group of people, who were huddled together. Yet, upon looking at them, they all frowned as they approached.
“Where did you come from?”
“Well we came from that pool over there!”
“So it’s true. There are people that are dedicated to taking the dragon down.”
“Mainly one.”
“One?”
“Yeah, our leader, the dotty eyed one.”
“You know, she beat most?”
“Hold on. It’s true!”
“We heard about that even though none of us believed it.”
“None of us dared to.”
“Well it’s true.”
“Tenten!”
“Oh right. The armies!”
“There are three and they look like miniature dragons.”
“And when do they come?”
“Two days from now. The next will be coming in four and the last, six.”
They nodded.

Another group walked into a smaller group.
“Hello.”
“Hi. Who are you?”
“Saruri. You?”
“Ren.”
“What do you think about the dragon?”
“Saruri, you really need to work on your people skills.”
“Sorry Dai.” He spoke before breathing in and putting on a smile. “What do you think about the dragon and his or her armies? Better!?”
Dai nodded.
“Both scary and hate them both. None of us are strong enough to fight them.”
They nodded.
“The rest?”
“Same boat.”
“Let me handle this one. And what if you had the chance if you had the ability to fight back?”
His green eyes narrowed, clearly annoyed. Yet he sighed and shrugged.
“If I had the right weapons, sign me up I guess.”
Dai and Saruri smiled.

Meanwhile Loc found a library and out of curiosity walked in and her eyes shone at the books there. She picked one out and walked to a table and started reading.
It is in the three hundredth year of our Great One’s victory,
when we were approached by a demon claiming to be a
great one. Upon our refusal to bow to it, it unleashed a
plague of none dragons. However, regardless of how many
of us are murdered, the true Great One will send someone
to this world who will wipe them all out.
At this she looked outside and saw the sun coming down. So she raced to the spot, forgetting that the book was still in her hands until a librarian raced after her.
“Book!” She panted.
Loc frowned for a moment and spotted it.
“Sorry. Here, I forgot it was in my hands.”
She snatched it.
“That’s what they all say!” She snapped as she looked at Loc.
Her eyes widened. Then she shoved the book back into her hands.
“Sorry, have it back. Just return it tomorrow, will you!”
“Welk, I am a fast reader so I should do.”
So she sat down and read as everyone else arrived and gave her their reports along with several more men.
“Now what?” Ren asked.
“We will wait for the eagles.”
“Right.”
