The Nine Dragons The Dragon Of Death Part Two

 Burning Of Bones

Lock had been walking for half a day when she saw the bones of dead animals racing toward her like they were alive. She noticed that there was a glowing green line connecting the bones like they had muscles. Part of her felt a strike of fear made her hesitate. Then one pounced upon her. She then felt it bite her. Then she felt more snapping at her arms and legs. She screamed and she kicked and kicked. Then her foot hit the skull of one of them and she kept kicking and kicking. Then she felt one chomp down on her foot and arms. Yet she forced herself on and tried to get on her feet. Yet she could not get the break that she knew that she needed. She tried to punch and punch, but that did not do anything!

Fire! Use fire!

She set her hands on fire and soon she forced the fire to her legs. This caused them all to dive back and out of the way. She got to her feet then she punched a stream of fire at one of them. This set one alight and this turned it into ash. She did this to the next one and the next one. She kept it trained upon the army of bone animals. Then she felt a bite in her arm. Yet she pushed on and threw one after the other soon she had a clearing. Only for more to replace the last and the clearing quickly closed. She dived on and set them all on fire.

She saw a fierce one dive at her and she set it alight and caught it. She then threw it at a group in the far direction. She fired another one about to bite her. Which was blocked by a row of them as they all dived at her. She threw a fireball as she dodged. She threw another and another and another as more and more dived at her.

She moved on. One dived at her. She hit it with fire as she dived out of the way. She did this again and again and again until she reached a pile of dry dead wood. She picked it up and set it alight as she threw it at another group. Then she used the fire and spread throughout the far distance. She then hit one after the other. Soon they were all gone.

Right. Now I know how that works, time to move on.

So she walked on and on as she resisted the overwhelming itching as her wounds healed. Soon she saw an army of horses coming at her. She saw the lines that connected the bones were glowing bright purple. She was about to run at them when she was struck in the head. She hit the ground and she banged her head slightly. She looked up to see an axe coming down upon her. She rolled out of the way. Yet it struck down again and again and again and all she could do was roll and roll and roll.

Then an idea came to her. She took a glance where the axe was coming down and rolled out of the way. Then, when the axe was raised she rolled into the legs of the skeleton, knocking him over. He hit the other skeleton as an unexpected byproduct. Yet she continued. Sbe then lit up her hands and collided with a leg bone and another one and another one. She kept it up until she had sert fire as much as she could.

Then she got up. She saw one coming with a sword to her and she ducked. It slid into the ribcage the one behind, lodging it into the left side of the breast. She then felt a stab to the side and saw that it had stabbed her from behind. Yet she spun and set her foot alight and her leg collided with the skull, knocking it off as she set it alight.

Hold on. Did I really just do that?

I guess I did.

I didn’t even know that I could get it that high.

Then she felt the blade yank out of her body, painfully bringing her back to the fight. She reached out her hand and released a pulse of fire setting the rest of the body alight. This caused the whole body to become ash with the main body.

I can use this. She thought, taking out her Rock and Stone. She ran to the nearest one and lobbed the head at the skull and released a pulse of fire. This turned both into ash. She did this again and again and again until she started to feel tired. However she knew that she could not afford to give in. So she continued to do this again and again and again until the tiredness became so great that she started to feel sleepy. Another thing that she could not afford.

Then she spread the fires that she started throughout the fight as far and wide as she could. By the time the flames died down and the army was ash, she collapsed.
