The Nine Dragons The Water Dragon Part Nine
The Commander’s Battle
Loc ran up to the top. When she reached the top rooms, she found nothing. So, she picked up a book. Judging by the back and the puffy pages covered in worn leather it was well read. If not, it was the most read. She put it in her bag out of sheer curiosity alone.
She turned back to the door only to be met by a wall of fire that caused to cough as smoke entered the room. This caused her head to become light and cloudy. She had to get into her hands and knees, just to escape the smoke. Something told her the breathing in the smoke was not a good idea. Yet as she looked on, it became clear to her that that was not a good idea either. This left only one option available to her.
She looked back at the window. Dread of what she was about to do rose up in her as she crawled to the window. She got to her feet and jumped out of it. She quickly fell. Then she felt the pain all over her body before everything went completely black.

When Loc woke, she looked at the book. She spotted the castle of the Dragon Cult was nothing but a pile of ashes. She looked around to see if there were any survivors only to see none.
Good. I don’t think that I am in any shape to fight just yet. Well, not until I have eaten and had a good rest. But first.
The Commanders only came out
at night and they live in a fortress
under the sea where they can stay
with their dragon master Aquamort
So the best way to get there is…
Her stomach rumbled and felt the terrible hunger pangs.
“Ahhhh! Can’t think without any food!”
So she walked around to find some food. She soon found a tree with, what looked like, purple apples. She picked one and ate it. She found herself smiling as she ate bite after bite. She closed her eyes to enjoy it more and to take in every sweet bite. She soon finished it and was about to pick another when she saw it. Ahead of her was the town that helped her here. To her horror everyone was dead! Not one of them was alive. Yet she saw that their decomposing corpses were all lined up before the water.
She dropped the fruit as she looked around to see not even one child or woman was spared. She felt sick to her stomach and rage filled her heart. She found herself regretting that she did not deal with Ryu Dra sooner and that she did not deal him a more slower and painful death.
Then she heard splashes behind her. The Commanders were here.
“Tell me, what happened here.” Demanded a large shark-like one.
She turned around and, mockingly, raised her hands.
“I surrender.”
“What?” Said the one of them that looked only slightly taller than the piranha army.
“You heard. I killed them.”
“Why?”
“They were helping Aquamort. So they had to die.”
“How come?”
“Silim, we have our orders.”
“Yes sir!”
The piranha commander dived at her and gripped her behind the neck and they all plunged into the sea. Loc tried to hold her breath as long as she could. Yet they were swimming at such a pace that the pressure got to her. She, before she could stop herself, gasped for air only for water to flood her mouth and everything seemed to go black.
When she woke up, she soon spotted that she was in the castle as she coughed and coughed up the water. She was soon panting and looked around. She soon spotted the Commanders holding her. She looked down to see that she was above a lime green pool and she knew where she was. She flipped her legs back and thrust herself forward. As they fell back she drove her feet into their stomachs. She then rolled onto the wooden ledge.
She looked around and quickly spotted Peble. She quickly grabbed it. She spun up only to have her blade meet the other blades. She tried to push on only to find that they were stronger. Then they put pressure upon her blade. She spotted that her blade shook as she felt the pressure build. She knew that she would have to find a way to use their size and strength to her advantage.
She then stepped on one foot and ducked. She flicked her blade down and went to drive the blade into the first commander. Where he rolled over and went into the water.
She then went to strike the next one but he met her blade. Then she spotted the trident coming at her. She ducked then, as she spun her blade to the right, he jumped back and she was hit in the back of her head. She then felt a trident in her side, keeping her awake.
Then she felt it pin her down and she looked around. She stabbed the commander in the webbed foot and the trident loosened his grip. She spun to the left to feel a blade in her side. She felt a groan escape her lips as her eyes rested upon the two. She slashed to the right and the blade was driven in further as he jumped. She let out a scream as the pain shot up into her side. She then spotted the shark was closer. She quicked stabbed to the side, piercing his skull. She pushed him off.
The next moment she saw the piranha drive his trident down and pierced her abdomen. She let out a cry as she was flipped up in the air. She gripped Peble as hard as she could as she raised her blade? Then she was thrust down. It took all that she could to keep hold of her blade. Then he flicked her back up in the air. She was then plunged back into the wooden floor. He did this again and again and again.
Then the wood broke. She reached out and gripped the trident. She could feel herself getting weaker and weaker. She then drove her blade upwards. She flew over and she drove fist into her back. Then cut off the fin. Then he spun. She drove her blade up into his abdomen. They collapsed amf all went black.
