Scar Parents Fight Part Two

 Assassin’s Protection

She nodded. Then shook her head.

“What is going on?” She asked sternly.

“No’ here!” She said, struggling to get the words out.

She had to pull herself to her feet and walked home. She swung her back on the coral red cotton sofa.

“Tell me, what are your thoughts on magic?” She asked, rubbing her throat.

“Well I was interested in it when I was your age, like reading the Worst Witch and A Wizard Of Earth sea, but I have grown out of those silly children’s stories.”

She let out a long breath.

“Then I need to show you something first.”

She, as she could feel her throat still hurting, but she forced herself back up on her feet. She led her upstairs, which was to the left of the ground floor, and turned to the right and walked to the centre of the first floor. Which was where the stairs to the attic were.

“What is it all about?”

“What if magic is real?” She asked as they walked up to the room filled with fifty doors.

“Oh don’t be stupid! I thought that you were smarter than-”

Scar opened the first door to reveal a purple desert behind it. The wind blew heavily and some of the purple sand blew into her face. It was all too clear that they had caught this world in the middle of a sand storm. She then closed the door with great effort.

She looked at her pale face. Almost like someone had slapped her in the face. Her eyes were so wide it looked as if her eyes would run the risk of falling out of her skull!

She smiled weakly slightly as she moved onto the next one. It led to a world where they spotted a group of dragons fighting in the sky. Then there were two dragons. One yellow and the other black. Then the yellow one with gold talons  ripped the head off one. Suddenly the black head fell and went through the door!

“Urm?”

Shelooked down baffled by what she had just seen. She walked up to the black dragon head. She still could feel that it was slightly warm.

Scar oper it’s red eye that was covered in blood. She could see the damage to his eyes. It looked like it had been slashed by a sword and the size suggested that it was a teenager between fourteen to fifteen at most that did this.

Charlotte looked back and could see the broken and shredded neck bones. She then looked up at her.

“What is it leading to?” She gasped.

“I was, for the first years of my life, raised by a group of witches in Scarborough. That was until a hunter-”

She touched her hat.

“Alex Victor Hunt, killed them and took me to a home. He was the one that called me Scarborough, but the witches called me something else, the Mythos Puros. Yet I don’t know what that actually means. Yet last year, before Christmas no doubt, I found out by the woman that gave birth to me that Alex was my father before- before- she-” She cut off.

She tried to kill me! She was the woman that gave birth to me and she tried to kill me!

Just say it. Just get it out of your mouth!

“She tried- she tried- she t-t-tried- sh-sh-sh-she t-t-tried-”

She could feel the lump in her throat. The tears were welling up.

Just say it! My biological mother tried to kill me! Get it out. Get it out of your mouth!

Charlotte placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Do you have proof that you’re not a normal girl?”

She pulled her blouse up to reveal the black X shaped belly button that stood out like a black X on a pale white sheet of paper. Her eyes widened. Then she returned to the girl.

“Don’t even have a birth certificate.”

She looked at her completely in horror and rage.

“What did she try to do to you?”

“Kill me!” She cried.

All colour had drained from her. She could barely look up as her wild eyes showed the fear of the girl. This told her that she was not lying.

“So, that man, he was a-”

They heard a smash in the window down stairs. She looked down as the girl’s eyes widened as she started to shake. She then ran down to see a woman.

“Scar, is that her?” She called.

Scar gave no response.

“Scar!”

She looked up, suddenly afraid that something had happened to her but when she ran back up, she saw that the girl was still there. She had become as still as a statue. Her face was as white as snow, which made her unfocused scarlet eyes look like they were glowing. Almost like a vampire. They carried such fear and her facial features made her look older than any child her age should look!

“Scar!” She called.

Yet she knew that her words fell on deaf ears. She was utterly deafened by fear. Charlotte had once experienced this as a child too, but even she was at least three years older! She ran to her an d placed a hand upon her.

“Scar. One of them is here!”

“Is that her?” Asked the huntress. “Well I must say, I never expected the Mythos Puros to be a little kid!”

Charlotte looked to the side.

“Well, is she her?” She asked.

“What?”

Her eyes slid up to the woman and shook her head.

“Were you sent by Morana?” She spoke, almost like she was already dead.

“Obviously.”

“What's your name?”

“Jenny Hope. Does it matter?”

Upon knowing that she was not her biological mother she covered the girl’s eyes and kept her heads covered. She raced to her and kicked her in the stomach. She then opened a random door. The moment that she raced to her, she grabbed her by the throat. Yet she punched her in the gut. She let go. She soon spotted the knife. She jumped back. She flicked her gun out and shot her in the leg. Then thrust her foot into her gut. The blond haired blue eyed huntress fell through the door and she closed it behind her.

“No, I guess not.”

She looked back at the girl. She took off the scarf and pillows and hugged her.

“Don’t worry, kid. I’ll protect you, or die trying.”
