Strena Powerless Part Five
The Dark Lord Departs
It was night and wrote down all her thoughts in her journal. It was the only thing keeping her sane. It was the only way that she could put her thoughts out and get her emotions in line. Yet she could not help but feel lonely in her cell. She felt so alienated from her own body and trapped in it.
She looked up at her sleeping uncle. She thought about all of his past actions. She thought about all he had put her through. Then all about what her father put him through. She wondered if this was how he felt. If this was why he did all that he did with her. All that he trained her to do.
Yet, she suddenly noticed that the whole ship had become silent. She could not even hear Chashathrophogh’s regular shouting at Cerpheres for annoying him. She also noticed that the atmosphere of the ship had suddenly become strange. Almost like there was no one on the ship. However, she looked down at the rodents that had made themselves on the ship. They were all on the ground like lies too tired to remain in the air. She looked closer at how still they all were and soon spotted that they were all asleep!
She frowned as she looked around, wondering what was going on. Then she heard the faint snoring in the distance along with Zaryb beside her. This told her that all on board the ship but her were asleep.
She could not help but frown as she looked around, wondering why she was the only one left awake. She kept her mouth shut but her ears open, listening for anyone else that was awake. Yet she heard nothing.
Soon sheen looked down at the mice as she wondered what was going on. Yet she knew that this was magic. Yet she felt her stomach drop as she was afraid that it was Dark Lady Grasharlo. Even though part of her knew it was not and the situation was far different than that.
Yet she could not help but feel nothing but fear as she knew, regardless of who it was, because of the fact that she was the only one awake, told her that she was the target. She was the one that this magic user was coming to and for and no one was coming to help her.
She could feel herself pushing herself back. She looked around as she heard the slow footsteps echoing throughout the ship. Then she heard them, as if to confirm her suspicions, come down the stairs. They were slow and purposeful. She could not help but feel her stomach drop as she looked down. She slipped off and under the bed as she looked up from under it. Yet, as she heard the footsteps getting closer and closer and closer she wondered why she was hiding? What was she hiding for? She had been trained better than that.
Then she heard Kitsuné Ryu and saw the feet.
Her eyes rested upon Dark Lord Gajellidor Darcrogh as he looked at Zaryb. He crouched and smiled as he brushed several strands out of his face.
“Leave him alone!” She snapped before she could stop herself.
He looked up and smiled. Almost looking fatherly.
“Ahhh! Just the one I wanted to see!” He sang.
He looked at her from up and down.
“Yet, I am dearly sorry, but it is not you I want to talk to.”
She frowned suddenly, feeling naked and alone.
“Then who?”
Suddenly she felt Kitsuné Ryu take over.
“What do you want, my dear servant?” Her lips asked.
“So it is true! You have taken the lost princess as your host!”
He slipped out and shrugged.
“What can I say? I could hardly pass up the chance to enrage my dear old rival!” He spoke as he looked at Zaryb.
“I see.” He spoke as he sat on him and played with his hair.
Stop it! Just stop it!
“So what business do you have with me?”
“Just to ask you a few simple questions! Although you only have to answer two.”
He started to rub his hands on her arms, making her recoil like a hissing cobra.
“And they are?”
Just leave him alone!
“By the way, little lost princess.” He spoke as he pulled out a knife and continued to stroke his hair. “I hardly think that I should tell you what will happen if you try to resist. No, just continue begging me to stop.”
No! Leave him alone! Don’t hurt him! Please don’t hurt him.
“What do they know?”
Don’t tell him! Please don’t tell him.
He continued to stroke her arms, making her fight off a sleepy trance.
“They know that you are working on a potion that takes the soul from the body.”
Stop it…just stop… Strena begged as his strokes continued to force her to lull into a sleepy trance.
“Do they know why?”
He stepped closer to the bars separating them and gestured for him to come. He got up and soon Strena felt her heart in her head as she felt his breath in her forehead. He started to play with the hair beside her temple. Almost with a hint of nostalgia in his eyes.
Stop! Stop it! Help! Somebody help!
“No.”
“Good.” He spoke as he stroked the side of her temple.
Stop touching me! Get off me! Get away from me!
“So what did they make of it?” He asked, cupping her cheek and wiping away her tears with his thumb.
“Some are on board with it and want to steal it and others want to stop you.”
He nodded, stroking his chin and placing his finger tips on his lips.
Leave me alone!
“How interesting. I never expected that.”
His hand returned to her cheek and moved down to her neck and forced her to look at him directly in the eyes. Yet Kitsuné Ryu kept up the sleep inducing stroking. This time it was at the back of the neck, even playing the hair there with her index.
“Although, the one known as Cerpheres, the Prince Captain, seems to be very angry about what I have put poor, poor, Strena through. Want to make him more angry?”
At this Strena felt Dark Lord Gajellidor’s other hand rise up and traced her scar. Yet Kitsuné Ryu dropped his hands and gestured to the rest of her body.
No! Stop! Don’t! Don’t do that! Don’t do that!
He got closer and closer until she could feel his breath on her ear. Then he pecked her in front of the ear.
“Not yet. I prefer to pluck ripe fruits. Although I do have many friends that would take up your offer. Yet, as I know that my son will kill her eventually once she has outlived her greatness, it hardly matters, my dear naughty demon king. Also, she reminds me of one of my stepdaughters.”
He nodded.
“He was on board with the stealing of the potion in order to get me and Wolfox out of our poor, poor hosts.”
He let out a chuckle as his hands retracted.
“Of course he would. I would hardly expect anything less.”
That was when Kitsuné Ryu returned to striking her arms.
“Now, is that it?”
“Yes. I will undoubtedly be bumping into you again, quite soon.”
Then he vanished and Kitsuné Ryu let her switch and she had to hear his roaring laughter in her head as she curled into a ball weeping herself to sleep.
