Bounty Hunter Bash Isle Heat Lock Final Part

 Leaving

They all met up when the sun started to set. They all had finished packing the last of their things up, then they walked up to the restaurant near the docks. Then they all bought their food, mostly chicken with salad. Yet Leonardo had pasta bolognese with extra garlic with cheese sprinkled on top. They started eating as they all got this usual juice. That was when Chashathrophogh placed the book on the table.

“What is this?” Purred Cerpheres.

“What I think he’s cooking.”

He read it and he could not look any more bored even if he was paid. Yet he put it back down; he had a more focused look than he pretended to be.

Bash read it and her eyes narrowed as she glanced at Zaryb and Strena. Then Leonardo read it as he finished it he almost choked on his chicken. Cerpheres had to whip to his aid and quickly dislodged it from his throat. Then it was able to go down the right hole.

That was when Strena and Zaryb read it.

“‘Frees any living creature from any animate or inanimate cage’...”

“Yes!”

His eyes narrowed.

“Does this mean-” He let out a sigh as he drank his beer. “No. Don’t get my hopes up!”

“But why does he want to do this?”

“Better question is what is he doing this for? Is he trying to remove the soul of someone? Because this can do that!”

“Probably ours.”

“I don’t know. Did I kill someone that he liked? Or appreciating?”

“Can’t say that I know, but that wouldn’t make sense.”

“Maybe it is something that I did? Maybe I collected a bounty that he needed or caused one of his plans to collapse?”

“Or maybe it’s something that you beauties are going to do?”

They all looked at Cerpheres who looked gleeful in the eye as he kept his lips from smiling as licked them. Bash sighed.

“And what is that?” She asked knowing that someone would have to.

That was when the smile filled his face.

“Well, he doesn’t do this to anyone. Nah, if he wanted to just kill you, he would have already done it! Nooo, it seems that he wants a narrative.” He spoke as he leaned in and everyone else instinctively did the same until he whipped back and outstretched his arms in exaggerated sorrow. “If an evil uncle by killing his poor dear niece then going on to dying mysteriously later! Or that he went on to killing his brother-in-law and his nephew!”

He chuckled as Chashathrophogh looked down, feeling pained.

“I see…So he wanted to kill something before it happened.”

At this Cerpheres’s cheeks became red and his eyes widened. He let out a deep breath.

“Which means that you’re gonna do something utterly great.”

“Calm down! There’s a fourteen year old here!”

“Alright!”

“But what do we do?”

“We stop him.” Strena spoke.

“I wouldn’t!”

“Why not! We can’t let him do this!”

“Not even if it was that means that you and your dear uncle will never be free from your evil little demon kings?”

At this she looked down and remained silent. Then her eyes narrowed.

“So we let this happen? What about those Skinwalkers? What if they don’t know what they are?”

“All Skinwalkers know what they are. But as nasty little things like this exist they try to keep it quiet.”

Strena dropped her mouth.

“But he has a way to find out if someone is one.”

“Of course.”

She nodded.

“There’s a test that he has invented himself.”

“Right.”

“Then we can do what we can to protect the innocent.”

“And the phoenix and eagle?”

They all nodded.

“Well at least we know where they’re going. So the moment we’re done we’re getting a move on.”

“Right.”

So they ate and left the archipelago of isles that were far too hot.
