Bounty Hunter Bash Location Lock Part One

 Arrival Of The Monsters

Bash looked at the horizon as she thought about how she used to have fiery red hair at the age of twelve only for it to quickly turn jet black by the time she was thirteen. It was dark and cloudy yet she could tell that there was going to be a storm. 

Then she and Chashathrophogh looked down at a map to see that they were entering a black spot in the map. As they had to avoid a storm that had several tornadoes in the storm they knew that they had to risk it. So they had to divert their journey to this spot. Yet both knew that, as they were on uncharted waters, they all had to be very careful of how close they came to the black spot. 

Yet the only one who seemed to be at ease and he hummed cheerily, was Cerpheres.

“Why are you so happy?”

“What? I’m always happy!”

Chashathrophogh narrowed his eyes.

“That’s not what I meant.”

“Oh? Not buying it! Are you?”

“No.”

“Weeellll! I could say!”

He let out a huff.

“Just get to the point!”

“Alright! Well it’s not like there’s a good opportunity to scout out and fill in the black spot on our dearest way!”

He rolled his eyes.

I’m willing to bet anything that he’s already been here before.

They looked on to see that there was a flash of lightning. At this their eyes widened.

“Cerpheres!”

He looked up.

“I know! I know!”

“But the lightning!”

“It’s alright!”

Strena’s face changed.

“We could die!”

“It’s alright! Or would you rather the tornados?”

“Fine!”

“But what if that storm forms tornadoes of it’s own?”

“It won’t my dear Bashy! I know that won’t happen. I can tell .”

At this she frowned.

“What do you mean?”

“A good captain knows the waters.”

That was when she was about to reply when she saw a spear swipe past her. Then she heard it lodge itself into the wooden wall. She looked at it with a pale face. It was not a spear, it was a mermaid trident!

She looked back and raced to the edge to see an army of mermaids and mermen looking up at them. At this she looked up, knowing there was more to this and became immediately more pale.

“What is it?”

“Mermaids and mermen. More than I have seen before.”

Chashathrophogh charged to her side and looked down. He too became pale and went to pull her back. Only to feel a chain on both her and his wrists. Soon they were pulled over. They were about to fall only for Cerpheres to grab them by their collars. That was when a chain wrapped around his throat. Soon he too was being pulled overboard.

The next moment they plunged into the ocean.

Quickly Bash spotted the one that was coming to Cerpheres and used her magic to boil the water around him. 

That was when a mermaid whipped a chain around his waist. As the chain looped and he looked directly at her. The next moment the chain loosened and the mermaid that had him floated up. The next moment a merman was pulling her away and looking at her wildly. She used her magic to boil him and was able to unwrap the chain around her wrist.

Then she swam up as she saw both men were swimming up. That was when they all felt a chain around their ankle. Then they were being pulled back down again. They saw another group of chains wrap around them as the mermaids and mermen pulled them down faster as they climbed the chain. 

She quickly boiled as wide and as much water in front of them as fast as she could. Soon some hissed as they swam down. Yet the ones holding the chains were able to avoid that. Quickly they pulled out a blade and stabbed them.

They let go as they sank down so the three swam up as the savage waters pulled them away from the ship. They all tried to swim to the ship but the current was just too powerful and the waves hit them like a baker kneading doe. With each clash of the waves it seemed that they saw the ship was getting further and further away from the ship.

That was when the waves started to get bigger and bigger. Yet the next moment they were thrust under the waves. They tried to swim under the water to the ship. Only to feel a chain around their ankles again.

They looked down to see the mermaids coming at them. They boiled the water as they were being dragged further and further down. Then they let go and the three were able to swim on only to feel another chain, pulling them back. Yet they boiled them and as soon as they swam on they were pulled under again.

Yet, by now their lungs were crying out for air. So they boiled the next seed of mermaids and mermen and pushed up and on and on as fast as they could. They gasped only to be hit by another wave and all went black.

They woke aching all over on a shore looking at a bummed out Cerpheres poking a fire.

“Well, that’s a face you don’t see often on you.”

“Well, I tried to get you beauties back to the ship but the naughty little merfolk got in the way. Which was why we blacked out and woke up here.”

“So we need to find a way to get off this island.”

“We could build a raft!”

“And?”

“Do you know how long that will take?”

“Maybe we should send a message to the rest on the ship?”

“Sure but we need to rest and survive first.”

“Then let’s get on with it.”
