Scar The Journey Home Final Part

 The Three Gifts

They soon said their goodbyes at the front door and Scar was left alone in number thirteen Johan Close. The first thing she did was give herself a good wash and put on new clothes. She allowed herself to feel the freshness and cleanness of the red top and black combat trousers. She enjoyed the heat of the house and the birds chirping outside even though it was darkening.

Then she ate a full English breakfast. Which she ate slowly and took in the taste. She also felt just how good it was to eat a proper good meal and know where it comes from to a point that she could not help but cry. She took in the beans the texture of the mushrooms and egg. She smiled as she tasted the meat of the sausage and bacon.

Yet as she did, she just could not help but notice just how empty the house was now. Now that Bill and Bliss were in another world being a king and queen. Now that her adopted mother is dead. Now that Charlotte Kira is dead too. She noticed just how big the hose was too, even without the attic!

Then after she ate she marched up to the bathroom and took the chance to take a glimpse of their rooms. Their rooms, which they never had the chance to spend time in. Rooms that many others did not spend time in either, yet she and Charlotte Cox or Kill were the first to return. She, who returned many times because of a key that only she could use.

Wonder why that is? Maybe it’s because I’m this Mythos Puros? Or is it because I am a relative of the one who built this house? If so, then which side would it be… She wondered as she entered the bathroom. Then she cleaned her teeth twice. Yet as she did, she could not help but look at her gaunt pale face. She looked at her scarlet eyes that seemed to look as if they were glowing.

Is that me? Is that really what I look like of being absent for at least a week? If so, then I will need to eat a bit more and put a bit of weight on or people would think that I’m anorexic! She thought before she finished and left and turned the TV on.

Wonder what day it is…She thought as she looked at the date and clock. Then her eyes widened. Court day!

She had only an hour to get there! So she put on her shoes and trench coat and raced to the tram. Then she quickly ran to the building as fast as she could not daring to take a break. She arrived mercifully five minutes late. Yet she noticed just how little she was sweating and panting. Yet she was able to quickly apologize and said all that she had to say and Stacy Jones was behind bars. Then she raced home after collecting the check and put the money in the bank.

She went and crashed on her bed until nightfall the following morning when she was woken up by the doorbell. Lazily she slipped out of bed and put the lights on. Then, to her horror, she saw Morana.

“Here's!” She said, showing her a McDonald's happy meal.

“Thank you!” She exclaimed as she took it.

She let out a warm chuckle.

“May we come in?” She asked and behind her were Alex Victor Hunt and Cerf.

“Sh-sure!”

Soon they were in the living room and Scar looked baffled at the sight of them in her front room.

“Today is the fourth of April, so Happy Birthday.”

“I heard what Morana did to your old hat, so here!” Alex said, giving her a box.

When she ripped it open, she saw an identical one to the old one. Yet it was one that seemed smaller and fit her head. At this she started to tear up as she put it on.

“See! Perfect fit!” Cerf sang as he pinched Alex’s nose. “And you were so worried!”

“Cut that out!” He snapped, slapping it away.

“Also, here I’ve already signed it.” Morana said, handing them a piece of paper. “Also, don’t put down The Watcher. We know that it’s not your name.”

“Alright!” He sang, then hummed as he signed.

“Now, Alex.”

“Why would I-”

“Because, Cerf’s the best for her.”

He looked down at Cerf.

“Don’t worry. I expect great things from her.” He purred as he came close to his ear and whispered into it. When he pulled away he signed the dotted line.

“Right. Congratulations. You’re a dad. I’m trusting you will take good care of her. She is still my daughter after all!”

At this Scar bowed her head and smiled.

“Thank you. Th-thank you!” She cried over and over again, just glad to have a family again and a chance to be normal again.

That was when Cerf hugged her.

“It’s alright. You’re gonna be great. Here.” He said as he gave her a thick comic book with black and white images. Yet the boy on the front had pointed green hair and was holding a green fishing rod behind his head with a big cheesy grin on his face.

“Thank you!”

“You’re gonna love this and I can tell that you’re gonna be just as great as this kid.”

“Happy birthday, although I have to leave you. Beatrice and Britannia are waiting back at home.”

At this Cerf snickered.

Yet Morana stopped at the doorway.

“And Scar. Well done on that last case and keep up the good work.”

“Thank you.” She said, feeling suddenly shy as she left.

After singing her happy birthday Cerf brought out a birthday cake with a picture of Legolas on the top.

“How did you know that was my favorite character?” She asked.

Cerf let out a chuckle.

“I had a gut feeling that it would be.”

She soon ate the Happy Meal and some cake and went to bed with a smile on her face. She was not alone anymore.
