The Nine Dragons Dracula, The Dragon Prince Part Four

 The Second Strike

They had barely laid down the bodies when they came. The fire was the first to hit. Soon all the dead were on fire. She looked up in shock and dread.

She jumped up and pushed herself onto the first one. Yet, before she had the chance to do anything, he blasted her with fire. She was pushed back and it took all to push her hand on and drove the fire back I to the throat where it came from. Yet it did nothing, so she pushed it on and on until it coughed and it went down the throat. This must have collided with something inside it and caused it to explode! However, before she could congratulate herself, she was hit by another blast of fire. This caused her to spin rapidly back as pain flooded her the moment she crashed into the debris.

Yet even more pain flared up as she got up. She looked up to see the army looking down at her. She saw the fire and dived out of the way. She saw another and dived back the other way. Only to be hit by a third. She soon hit the ground hard. She felt the itching all over her body as she was hit again and again and again. She was able to get out of the way, only to see a blast almost reach her. She rolled on and she saw another one and rolled on and hit the wall of a home. She slapped it and used the momentum to roll faster as she got up. Then she saw the fire and stopped it in it’s tracks. Then she pushed it back and flew up and pulled out Rock and Stone. Then she fell and hit two heads.

She then flew on and hit one in the centre of the group and thrust her hammers into the throat. Then hit the head into the next one. She then drew the hammers down to the left and hit another head. Then on and flicked Rock to the left into the snout and spun and thrust Stone up into the throat. Then pushed herself on. Two came to eat her. She used a spin and flicked her hammers out and the moment that they smashed into the heads she drew them in. That was when one opened it’s mouth and her body flew in before she knew it. She then hit the soft palate of one of them and she thrust the hammers down and burst out of the throat.

She found herself colliding with the ground. She did all that she could to pull her arms in as she gripped onto her hammers as hard as she could as she rolled and rolled and became buried in rubble. She then pushed herself up as she saw a rain of cannonballs above her. Some hit, some missed. Then she saw another round above her and she saw more and more fall. Yet, before another round, she saw the fire blast out and she parted the flames as the strange wyverns flew above and threw their fire across to the cannons. This she blocked too. That was when they frowned and did this again and again she stopped it. Then they sent another blast which she stopped before she was hit.

She spun as she flew in the air. Then the cannons were taken out and she saw the fire fly above her like an orange curtain and it hit! Soon all the men were on fire! Yet her body broke as it collided with the cannons. Pain flared up as she rolled on and on and on. Then she hit a wall. She opened her eyes as she saw the army division look at her.

Then there was a wall of fire in front of her. She tried to run on as the fire beat down upon her. She felt her body being dragged to the wall. Yet she could feel the force press her to the wall further. Soon she forced herself to push the fire back. Yet she could feel that it was just too much for her; however she pushed herself on and on and on until she felt a break and the strange wyverns hit the rubble of the wall. Then she saw more and more cannonballs hit more and more of them.

She looked down at the men and women as they did this again and again and again and again. She saw that there was no longer any fear in their eyes but determination, rage and focus! However, some carried hope. She could tell that they no longer cared for their lives but for the lives of their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could see it in their eyes, this was the only chance that they had to be finally free of the dragons and they would take it or die trying.

Wh-what have I-

Then she looked up.

No time. She thought as she looked up and saw that the strange wyverns were going for them. She pushed the fire up and drove it into the underbelly as hard as she could. They looked back at her as they were hit. She then did this again and again and again, making sure that their attention was on her and not the cannonballs coming at them. Yet she could feel her body getting tireder and tireder and tireder. However she continued to push the fire into their underbellies again and again and again as they took out more and more and more and more. When she saw that there was no more she could no longer hold it back and she passed out.
