Scar The Journey Home Part Two
The Quest
They were brought before a king dressed in pale gold and pale yellow, almost white. The hall was long and tall which was decorated with the same colours that the king was wearing.
“Who are you?” Asked Morana.
“What do you want with us?” Snapped Detective Smith.
“I am King Angus. I hear that your are not from my kingdom. Is this true?”
“It is. And?” Replied Scar.
“I would teach your daughter to speak when spoken to.”
“She’s not my daughter.”
At this King Angus raised his eyebrow as Detective Smith looked at Scar and Morana with narrowed eyes.
“So what is this all about?”
“I need a group of people that are not of this kingdom.”
“No. We’re just passing through.”
He nodded.
“Then do what I say and I will pay you with two horses and a carriage.
“But how will they help in our world?” Britannia asked.
“So, the legend of Johan Close is true…How interesting.”
“What?”
He cleared his throat.
“You are to go to the cave of the old kings. There you are to get an olive opal. It will be best to keep it here. So that I can prove to the rest of the kingdom the truth before it is too late.”
“What?”
“Why can’t you get it?” Moaned Beatrice.
“Because, the Dark Master Lord Gajellidor Darcrogh put a spell on it so that no local can get it.”
“And that is why you need us!” Scar and Morana asked together.
“Yes.”
They all looked at Morana and Detective Smith.
“No.”
“Absolutely not!”
“Then how about we take the girls and send just you three.”
“And what will you do to them?”
“Keep them in the dungeons until you return.”
“What?!”
“No! We want to go too!”
And she’ll blame me and try to hurt me because of it!
“No. Take me instead!”
“No. As you are not their daughter, you have no value as a hostage. So you will be going.”
That was when nodded and soon Scar, Morana and Detective Smith were dragged out and to the cave as the twins were dragged to the dungeons.
“Just go in and get it!”
They nodded as they walked in to see no door.
“If only we had Cerf. He would be good at this.”
“Who?”
“Another annoying employee, you’ve met him. I’d have fired him a long time ago if he wasn’t so good at his job.”
“But the door-”
That was when Scar saw the olive coloured plant sculpture.
“Is this normal?”
“Obviously not.”
“Then why is it that colour?” She asked as she spotted that there were crystal purple and red roses seemingly growing it. That was when she looked to the left she saw the small pool. Under, were the words.
Water Me
So she scooped up the water and threw it at the roots of the plants and the main stem twisted and the wall opened up.
“How-”
She pointed at the words. Morana nodded.
“Oh.”
Detective Smith frowned.
“What?”
“It says water me.”
“It does?”
“Yeah.”
“I don’t see anything.”
Scar and Morana looked at each other and frowned.
“We don’t have time for this.” Both said as they walked in.
Ahead of them they saw two stairs in front of them. In between was a plaque.
Clockwise
East
Read
“What?”
“CER?”
“ETD?”
“Anagram?”
“No. Can’t see it. Maybe they have something in common?”
“Clockwise goes right. East is right but read?”
“You read from left to right.”
“Oh! So it’s right, right?”
“Seems so.”
They all walked up the stairs. That was when they saw a man walking towards them. Yet when they walked up to him the flies on his face. Then they saw that half of the face was gone and the flash was completely moldy. There was no breath coming from it either.
“Is that a zombie?”
“Yes!” Snapped Morana as she quickly shot the head.
“What? Just what is this world?”
“Not now, Detective Smith. We need to get this over with.”
He nodded as they soon saw it. The olive opal. It was beautiful and as smooth as a mirror. Yet they all had to pull their eyes off it and take it. They returned to the front and were able to walk back to the castle. They were reunited with Beatrice and Britannia by the evening.
They were given a black and white horse.
“Snow and Raven.” The twins named them.
Yet as they rode on, Detective Smith kept looking at both Morana and Scar then at his twin daughters.
