Scar The Detective Arc Part Six
Licence
After three weeks after the fall of the reminisce of Evil Stronghold and of studying after studying in the evenings after school. She did not even take the weekends off, she passed all the official tests. Although she was young she proved to be dedicated to her work, both her school homework and studying to become a certified private detective.
Even though Detective Jen had tried to kill her and killed her mother, she was right to say the girl would make a good detective and Detective Scot had to agree. In fact he had no problems handing the girl a real detective licence. He knew that the girl would know if it was a fake. He had grown confident in her skills and abilities over their time preparing her for the tests. Even though part of him did not want her to pass, he was proud that she did.
"As if today, you are Detective Scarborough Cox." He congratulated her.
She smiled and shook his hand.
"Thank you."
She took the licence and looked at it, examining every single detail with both her eyes and fingers.
"Now, I think that is time to celebrate."
"You ought to!"
She smiled, and the others raised their champagne glasses and she took her apple juice and raised it.
"To Detective Cox!"
They all drank, after all she was by far too young for it. She drank the rest of the apple juice. Detective Scot gave her the keys to Thirteen Johan Close. She ate many ham sandwiches and sausage rolls yet none beyond her stomach's limit. She neither wanted to vomit it all up or put on too many pounds. Yet she did have lots of slices of cake and drank cherry aid and soon she used the loo.
While this was going on, Detective Scot and Charlotte were together.
"Sure this is a good idea?" She asked.
"Well she would know otherwise. Yet I think that this would be a good way to keep a good eye on her. Plus, I do have a gut feeling that this would pay off somehow and sometime down the line. So could you keep a good eye on her too?"
She let out a chuckle.
"Will do!" She said as she sipped. "Though I must admit that if this was any ordinary girl I wouldn't have done any of this. However, somehow, I think that she would be able to look after herself."
"Yeah, she does seem to be mature for a girl her age. Do you think it might be whatever trauma those 'witches' put her through?"
"Probably. It has been proven that kids that have sustained trauma at a young age do tend to have a level of maturity to them."
She nodded.
"Speaking of which, do you think that her parents are alive?"
He picked up another filled cup.
"No! But there's no harm in looking into it though!" He admitted. "Right now Detective Smith seems to have a tricky case."
"Oh? Are you going to help?"
"Yeah. Then it's a good thing that you have a good start."
Soon Scar walked out of the loo.
"Scar!"
She looked at her. There was a tiredness in her eyes.
"Sorry Detective Cox. Do you want a lift home?"
"Yeah…'m getting tired."
They were soon there. She, sleepily, opened the door and walked to her front door.
