Scar The Detective Arc Final Part

Black Hole

When she walked into the empty hallway it suddenly hit her. She was alone. Her adopted mother was dead and her adopted siblings were adventuring in another world. She had none else in the house. None to cook her meals for her. None to tuck her in at night. None to hug her whenever she woke from her many nightmares.

She had been focused on all that she had been doing. She had no time to focus on the emptiness of what was in her life now. She had no time to focus on the fact that because her mum was dead she had none in her life. Well she still had new friends in Beatrice and Britannia.

She did not cry at first. In fact she fought her tears. She tried to control her breathing to calm herself. Yet her emotions proved too strong for her. She could not breathe without making herself worse. She could not see, her vision blurred like she was underwater.

She walked to the door and locked it. She wanted to force herself to focus on anything other than the emptiness of the house. She could feel her hands shaking as she did. She dropped get keys once the door was locked. She then picked it up.

Back door. Just lock the back door.

She then tried to walk over to it, but her legs were getting weaker and weaker as she walked to the kitchen. As she moved to the door her legs gave away. She collapsed hard and she broke down in suffocating tears.

She cried and cried. Her mouth was the shape of a break and she tried to get up but she just could not. Her nose became as runny as a tap and blocked up. Her mum would have wrapped her arms around her but all that was wrapped around her was empty darkness. There was none to help her now. None to comfort her. She was alone here and she could not do a thing about it.

She was there for a long time before she was able to get up and finally lock the door, by which point the sun started to rise. It was a new day. She was too tired to appreciate it. So she marched to her bedroom where she collapse and her eyes closed on the Statuary morning.

Later she would get up and make her breakfast, later her lunch and then get tea. She only stuck to things that she knew that she could do. Try as she might, she could not shift the sudden emptiness of the house, like a black hole that would never be filled…
