Scar The Journey Home Part One

 Location Of The Door

They all attended to the wounds and set all of the other prisoners of the Scarborough Witches free. The next thing that they did was release all the animals that they had for who knows what. After they raided the storerooms for food and warmer clothes. Yet Scar noticed that it was getting slightly warmer. Spring was on its way. Then they left.

“So, how are we going to get home?”

“We have to find a room with a door on it.” She spoke as she felt the key around her neck.

When did I put that on? She wondered as they walked away.

Beatrice and Britannia wrapped their arms around Scar.

“Are you alright?”

“You look thin.”

“She always looks thin!”

She looked down, suddenly feeling Morana’s glare.

“I think we need to find the room before we think about my weight. Sooner we get home sooner we can get a good wash.”

“True.”

“Hold on, you didn’t answer us!”

“I’m alright. I just want to get out of here.” She said, forcing a smile on her face.

“Yeah.”

“Me too.”

“So, is there a room on the map?”

Morana looked down at the map.

“No. But there is a village nearby here. So we will be able to ask around.”

“Good thinking mum!”

“But what about-”

Morana pulled out a bag of coins of bronze, silver, gold and precious stones.

“Good thinking, my little raven.” Spoke Detective Smith with a kiss.

At this Morana went red as she leaned back into him. This took Scar back. She had never seen this side of her nor did she see her blush or look slightly shy.

“Why did you-”

“Dad calls her that ‘cause he loved her raven black hair.”

“And he says that she’s as beautiful as one!”

“Oh.”

Must be his favorite bird.

“So, will we be going then?”

“Sure.”

“Yeah! This is gonna be fun!”

“Yeah. Like an adventure novel!”

“Like Narnia!”

“Or Oz!”

“But this isn’t a dream.”

“I know.”

“So be careful!”

“Do you do this all the time?”

“Can we come too?”

“No!” She snapped, then pointed to Morana. “Your mother wouldn’t want you in any danger. I’m dangerous to be around. That is why I sent you away!”

They looked at each other.

“Oh.”

“Yeah.”

“Now you three, get a move on! We need to get there as soon as we can.”

“Right.”

Soon they were walking on and on and on, yet as they did Beatrice and Britannia started singing songs they heard during assembly. Then she started to join in. Soon she felt a smile spread upon her lips. Yet she caught a glimpse of Morana glanced at her and she wiped it off. Yet she knew that this could be the only time she would be able to see this side of the woman and wanted to enjoy it as much as she could. After all, at least she was not trying to kill her.

They soon arrived at the village in the evening. By this time they all were hungry and tired. They soon found a tavern. Then they walked into it and bought two rooms. One family and the last for Scar.

Soon they had toast, beans and sausages.

“Drink?”

“One pint.”

“A large red wine.”

“Apple juice.” Beatrice spoke.

“Orange.” Britannia sang.

“Is there pomegranate juice?”

“No.”

“Peach?”

“Cheapest juice.”

“That please!” Scar spoke.

“Right.”

“By the way, have you seen a strange room that just a door in front that just does not fit where it is?”

“Yeah!”

“Mrs Smith, please bring out the map.”

She did, you he shook his head as he left. A moment later he came out with the drinks with a bigger map in the center.”

“Here. Just in the kingdom after the next.”

“Right. Thank you.”

Soon they were and both Morana and Scar ate slowly but the rest wolfed it down. Soon they were in their beds and rested well.

The following day they set off. Yet before they left the village. Yet they were stopped by a group of soldiers.

“Holt! You will be coming with us!”
