The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Twenty-Three
Death Of The Life Dragon
They barely had too much time to rest when she saw Paradtopia ahead of them. Her eyes gazed upon the woman, already marking her as her prey. She knew that none else would be important. This caused her stomach to drop as she knew that she would kill all that got in her way. Which meant that she would have to fight this one alone or it would lead to more needless deaths in her life.
That was when the leader of the kingdom placed a hand upon her shoulder. He then gave her a stern look. She knew what this meant, even though she did not like it. Yet she had no time to complain or plea. However, she could tell that all of them would agree that they all knew and they all agreed that even if this would lead to their deaths then it would all be worth it.
So she looked up as the army all charged at the dragon. So she did too. She ran and ran and ran. She found herself at the front, running faster and longer than the rest out of sheer determination. Then the frontline overtook her. Only for the front line to finally reach her and with one tallon, ended their lives!
Yet she had to push past this shock and keep her focus at hand. She had to get to the dragon before anyone else died. She soon reached her and Paradtopia smiled cunningly at her. Then she opened her mouth and white, pink and purple fire blasted out of her mouth. Soon the centre of the army was almost hit as she was just about able to stop the fire in time. Yet this left her wide open and her back was struck!
She let out a cry as she forced herself to return to the fight. She saw the fire again and this time she divided the fire. Yet she could not stop the fire at the far edges! Soon some were hit with the fire and they had to roll over to put it out. She looked at this in shock and tried to use her power to put it out. Only to be hit by the fire herself!
Soon she was pushed back before she could return to fighting the dragon. Then she felt both temples of her head be hit by the tips of the wings. This disorientated her a bit as she started to fall. She looked down to see the open mouth. Soon she fell in.
She stabbed down on the throat as hard and deep as she could. She did this again only for her to be blasted by another blast of fire. Soon she was out and falling. She landed on her back and hit her head on the spiky spine. This caused her to become dizzy for a moment as she started to see double. Sne felt a curtain of blood flow down the centre of her face.
Get a grip! Get a grip!
She looked down to see that she was very high up in the air! Her eyes widened as she looked around at the people below. She looked around to see if there was anyone here on the back only to see that she was alone. She let out a deep breath as she looked at the dragon and the ground below.
No time for fear.
She then forced herself onto her feet as fast as she could. She knew that speed and time meant everything in taking this dragon down. So she ran as fast as she could over to the center of the spine. She could feel herself getting colder and colder as the air became thinner and thinner. She dived to the nearest wing and stabbed with a shaky hand. The moment that her blade pierced through she felt the drag of the wind.
This is going to hurt. She thought as she pulled it back. Yet as she did she felt her whole body swinging. Then she felt the wing rise and she slipped out of the wing and fell back. Soon she had to dig Peble in deeper just to stay on the back. Yet she knew that one hole was not enough. So she pushed herself on and thrust her hand into the tear and gripped it. She then dragged her blade into the flesh beside her. Then she pulled it back as far as she could. She then grabbed hold of that wound. She then repeated this action again and again and again until there was a row. Then she dug her blade into the centre and then pulled back and climbed back to the spine and did the same again and again.
Soon Paradtopia dropped. Her head turned back and Loc fired fireball after fireball at her again and again and again but this did nothing to help her as she fell further and further and further down. Then she hit her head on one of her own statues and the rest of the body collided with the head and soon Paradtopia was looking at the stump of her own neck before she died.
Loc hit the ground hard and lay unconscious in a grim pose at the gates of the palace.
