Scar The Journey Home Part One

Location Of The Door They all attended to the wounds and set all of the other prisoners of the Scarborough Witches free. The next thing that they did was release all the animals that they had for who knows what. After they raided the storerooms for food and warmer clothes. Yet Scar noticed that it was getting slightly warmer. Spring was on its way. Then they left. “So, how are we going to get home?” “We have to find a room with a door on it.” She spoke as she felt the key around her neck. When did I put that on ? She wondered as they walked away. Beatrice and Britannia wrapped their arms around Scar. “Are you alright?” “You look thin.” “She always looks thin!” She looked down, suddenly feeling Morana’s glare. “I think we need to find the room before we think about my weight. Sooner we get home sooner we can get a good wash.” “True.” “Hold on, you didn’t answer us!” “I’m alright. I just want to get out of here.” She said, forcing a smile on her face. “Yeah.” “Me too.” “So, is there...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Final Part

A True Paradise  When Loc woke, she looked all around to see that all of the survivors were breaking the trees apart. She slowly rolled onto her stomach and pushed herself off the ground. Only for her to fall back down. She noticed that she was weak and needed a proper rest but she forced herself to push on and drove her body back up again. She knelt forward this time and forced herself on her feet. She walked to them, her body swaying like a snake or fish. Yet she kept her eyes on the people. Then she looked at the trees. “Are you alright?” “Should you be on your feet right now?” “Doesn’t matter.” She said, still looking at the trunks. If only I had Rock and Stone. I would be able to smash through this very easily… She thought to herself. Yet she looked at herself and them and suddenly wasn’t so sure. “Look around to find something that may help.” She suggested. They all looked at her with a frown. Then they looked at each other and shrugged. “Can’t hurt to help.” “Why would...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Twenty-Three

Death Of The Life Dragon  They barely had too much time to rest when she saw Paradtopia ahead of them. Her eyes gazed upon the woman, already marking her as her prey. She knew that none else would be important. This caused her stomach to drop as she knew that she would kill all that got in her way. Which meant that she would have to fight this one alone or it would lead to more needless deaths in her life.  That was when the leader of the kingdom placed a hand upon her shoulder. He then gave her a stern look. She knew what this meant, even though she did not like it. Yet she had no time to complain or plea. However, she could tell that all of them would agree that they all knew and they all agreed that even if this would lead to their deaths then it would all be worth it. So she looked up as the army all charged at the dragon. So she did too. She ran and ran and ran. She found herself at the front, running faster and longer than the rest out of sheer determination. Then ...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Twenty-Two

The Victory  That was when she looked at the three. She looked down for a moment. What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? She thought as she looked around. “Quick! Divide into six groups! One for each general, one group for offence and defense!” She shouted. They looked back at her for a moment. “Don’t look back!” They nodded and charged on. Then the six wings shot arrows at them. The Defence polled the Offense out of the way. The two shot at them. Then all dived out of the way causing a donut shape. The top of the donut as the spier returned to his hand. The one on the fake fairy ran on and on. She flung daggers the size of half a man at them. Defence kept Offense out of the way as they met the feet of the general at the same time. Six wings raised his foot and as his foot collided with the people below Offence pointed their blades up and soon the foot retracted with knives and makeshift weapons in the soles, piercing through the straw. They charged on and st...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Twenty-One

The Generals Strike The moment that she arrived at the top of the stairs she was flung across the side. She rolled up the wall as she collided with it. The next thing she heard was the yellow and cracking like someone was breaking wood. Then the women screamed. When she landed she looked up to see the red pool on the ground. She looked to the side to see men and women with bones, limbs and necks sticking out in odd places. Yet their flesh was already turning purple. She looked ahead to see a two winged fakegel however he was larger and had six digits on both hands and feet. He was dressed in cream robes and his large feet were covered with large straw sandals. His eyes were filled with arrogance and fury. He held a spier in his hands the size of a tall man. Then she saw the next one. He had six wings and was larger then the first. The last looked like a tall, slender and beautiful woman. Her wings and robes were deep crimson with high cheekbones and wore orange eyeshadow over her ...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Twenty

Destruction Of The Pools It was early the next day when they were able to set off.  “Tell me, why did you not fight in that last battle?” Asked one. “I told her not to.” “Why?” “Because you needed to know that you could do it on your own. After all, I may not always be here to sort out all your problems, you have to learn that on your own. I am not going to be another Paradtopia. I’m here to help set you free from Paradtopia.” The man nodded. “Then after all of this is done, do you expect us to do all the work to heal our land?” “I will help you as much as I can, but I will be leaving as soon as I can. I do need to take down the final two dragons.” He nodded. “Then we will help.” She looked at them in horror. No. Not again! “And don’t think that this is on you. I heard about the last two and their size and the size of their armies. And, if they are to be believed, even with a grain of salt, you need all the help that you can get!” She looked at him, shocked. He had blue eyes ...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Nineteen

Victory Of The People  It was in the afternoon when they all knew that the last division of the last army of Paradtopia. Loc was well rested and was about to collect her things to fight when the leader of the city came up to her. He had a stern but compassionate look in his eyes. “I ask you not to fight. For I would like for you to observe the battle ahead.” “Why?” She scoffed as she got up in a huff. He, patiently, raised his hand to her. “Simple this is our world, our land and we need to fight for ourselves.” She frowned deeply. “What? That’s the reason? I will fight! After all, until I find a piece of one of the Reality Spheres, this will be my world, just as much as it is yours!” He grabbed her by the cuff of her shirt. “No. If you want to help, keep the fire down! And once you witness all that happens during the fight, then you will understand, alright?” She looked to the side. “Alright, but the moment that someone dies, I’m stepping in. Alright?” “Deal.” So they all w...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Eighteen

The Defence Of The People  It was three hours after the last division when the next division of vampire fairies came. Yet she had enough rest but not everyone did. Which was why they went for them. However this soon woke people up and made them suddenly alert. They were soon slashing at the heads, yet some had already bitten down on their throats. Yeg the ones that were awake instantly struck. However even though they struck one after the other some of them had too many to truly deal with. Soon they were in the air and had their throats ripped out. Loc saw one come at her and she thrust up. She did this again and again and again. Suddenly one came from behind and swooped her up in the air before she knew it. She threw her blade back before her throat could be bitten. She started to fall when another caught her. She stabbed right into the mouth and she had to drag the blade up with all her might then, she was falling again.  Yet when she was caught again the head was hit ...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Seventeen

Defending The People  When they all woke they noticed that it was time. They all walked out in lock step to see that all of the stones of the building, including the cobbles on the ground were all glowing chalk green. Yet even though it was beautiful, none of them had the time to focus upon that. They could do all of that later.  She looked up at the sky to see golden dots scattered like gold stars. Yet as she looked on, she spotted that each star had tiny wings coming out; they looked both dragon-like and angel-like too. Yet as they came closer she could see that their bodies were like the fakegels. Yet, as they came closer and closer, she could see that they were all dressed in gold and green robes. All of them did look beautiful yet there was an arrogant look in their baby blue eyes. “What are they?” “They don’t look like fakegels.” “No. They look more like fairies of the Seelie Court!” Yet they all soon arrived. The first thing did was dive to the closest ones that d...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Sixteen

Waking The People  It was at dawn when she and her men re-entered Dragon City. They knew that they had a great task ahead of them. She remembered just how things were when the librarian came up to them with a man next to him. “I’m Gin Hikari, an archeologist. And I can tell you that the recording in this book is truly a load of baloney. After all, looking at those stairs, I can tell that she could have been here for one thousand years at most.” Loc nodded. “And, by looking for the evidence, it just does not line up but that was how I was able to track down this book. Over one thousand years old but very well persevered.” He explained as he showed her an old dusty book with faded brown leather. She opened it and looked down. ‘Tis the first day of fighting the dragons and not one thing works I hath lost many yet ‘tis in vain. The only hope is Philostiria’s famed champion, Fate’s  Champion, to show up, and soon. She looked at him, waiting for what he was going to say next. ...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Fifteen

The Life Dragon City They approached high light cream walls. She looked at the large silver gates with a dragon rampant in a shield on each gate. That’s going to be a challenge to get past. She thought as she looked back. They looked at her, already knowing that they all needed to circle it. So they slowly circled around it. Yet they all noticed that there was an entrance at the back. They soon walked on. Once they were in the city she noticed that there was a domed palace in the far distance at the corner to the left. In the meantime the whole city was all an uneven hilly terrain. It was covered by pearl white cobbles and even the houses, huts and shops all looked like they were made of pearls. Yet all the windows had flint in the shape of a dragon at the top in a ring of light and lapis lazuli that looked like blue wood going around that. Yet they looked around in awe at the beauty. She then noticed that none had proper roofs.  She looked at one of her men. “We don’t need t...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Fourteen

The Army For Freedom  They all looked at the town and looked to see if there were any injured. Only to see that the only injured were the fat woman that looked at Loc and the men with nothing but murder. Yet all of them knew that they were not in the position to do anything about it. Yet as they walked around Loc looked at the men that joined the fight. She went up to them. “Why now?” She asked, suspiciously. “Because it was now or never.” Spoke one with green eyes and red hair, drinking freshly squeezed apple juice. “Aki, Izumi, Hana, Ryo, Ren, Yuki, Suki, Sora, all died yesterday. All our sons and daughters and older siblings.” Spoke another. “Our mothers and wives told us it was all necessary. Yet we did not like it nevertheless. We loved them all, after all!” “But when we saw you lot fight, we wanted to fight too.” “But our mothers and sisters and wives would not let us. They told us to help get our oldest siblings to the angels of Paradtopia. Yet-” “They’re not angels. T...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Thirteen

The Army Against The Last  Loc had a light nap before waking up to see the fakegels, a name she had come up with after the fight and handed the second borns over to the rest of the first borns. She could see the men also taking a light nap, just like she was. Yet she knew that she did not have time to wake them. So she pulled out her sword as she could not be bothered to get Rock and Stone. There was no time. She ran on and on. To her relief she did not see a line this time but she did hear shouting in the homes of mainly women and some arguing men. Don’t focus upon that. Not when I have a fight to win. She turned to see them all in the air. The first thing she did was push the fire out from under her feet and dropped onto the back of the first one. She blasted the left wing then stabbed down. She ran on and dived to another and did the same. She then dived to the next one and did the same again and again. Making sure to keep up the pace and not let up once. Until she was sna...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Twelve

More For The Second Division They made sure to keep all the firstborns away from the rest of the town. In fact, all of the older firstborns were keeping the babies away and well attended to. The boys were able to get the milk to feed them by finding a wild cow. They were able to move into a cave which was soon called Firstress Cave. The only ones that knew the location were Loc and the men that she was with.  Yet upon returning they, to their horror, saw another line of children. Some looked like the firstborn but younger. She had noticed that the oldest was eighteen. She soon figured out that these were not another group of firstborns but second borns. Yet as they reached the line the first one dived down and got one. She then went to dive at him when she was hit. She looked down to see a rock. She looked at the woman that threw it. She picked it up and then threw it at the woman. She was soon on the floor, blood dripping from the left side of her forehead. Then she looked a...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Eleven

The First Division Attacks  Loc and the men woke at an early hour. They knew that they would be spending the day fighting, yet she knew that there would be people that might die but she knew that she would have to find a way to make peace with that. Yet she knew that she never would be truly able to. So they all collected all their things and she had barely set foot outside when she saw a line of boys and girls of all ages and even babies. All crying out. Yet the older ones were looking afraid. At this she quickly knew what was going on. This sparked anger beyond her control. Yet she forced herself to calm down.  Yet she soon saw the four winged giant fake angels. She was starting to hate these beings masquerading as beings of good and light. That was when she ran as fast as she could to the line and past them she pulled out Peble, yet she put it in her mouth. Yet she noticed that it was heavy on her jaws but it took all her strength to keep it steady. She then pulled ou...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Ten

Disbelief Of The Town They all arrived at the town at the foot of the island that she was on a week. Yet Loc looked at the group. She made sure to keep her distance. After all, she could do nothing but think about Ryu. She did this to remind herself of what happened to him. She knew that she would have to keep to herself so that she would feel that pain again. She looked to the side. “Why are we coming here? We should be getting to the head.” “Not if you want to take down the second army. Also this town leads to a faster road, ironically. After all, if we went, what looks like, the shortest way there would be spending a month or two climbing a mountain then another couple on the mountain after that which is double the size. See?” Kin pointed out pointing to the top of the back and chest area of the island. “Oh.” She looked down at the town’s plaque. Dragon Pryd Right, time to get this over and done with . She thought as they walked into the town. She looked at the map. “When do th...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Nine

Companions For The Journey  The following morning she woke up at as early an hour as she could. She was well rested and her strength and weight were fully restored to her. She knew that now as the time to go. After all, if she left any later then she could be talked into staying. So she quickly packed her things this time remembering Rock and Stone and went on her way.  Yet as she did, she could hear shuffling behind her. She looked back to see a small cat on the ground. She smiled at it before she turned around and walked on and on. Yet, again, she heard shuffling behind her. Yet she continued, thinking that it was nothing more than another cat. However, after going further and further up the tail of the land, she could hear that the shuffling was too low and loud to be a cat. So she looked back to see a doe looking at her. For a moment their eyes locked, looking both innocent and stupid. Yet, despite this she still looked graceful nevertheless. She rolled her eyes as s...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Eight

Spreading Truth Loc went to the group. It was the following day and she was able to get herself cleaned that she had been in a long time. She felt calm and refreshed. She could feel that the atmosphere was different. All the statues of Paradtopia had been taken down and people were eating small portions.  That was when a group of women walked up to her. “We need to go throughout the town.” “Why?” “We may know the truth but not everyone here does.” She nodded. Even though she wanted to leave this place and fight the next army and get this over and done with. Yet she knew that she had to do this too. She understood that she could not leave as she, while all the others here, was a witness to all the dragon had done. “Alright. But the moment that we have I will have to leave.” “So do we dotty eyes.” She rolled her eyes and nodded. “Right. Then there is not a moment to lose!” They all looked at the map of the whole Kingdom of Paradtopia. It was an island that looked like a fairy w...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Seven

The Last Of The First Army Loc barely had the time to come round when she woke up as the army was already at the border. She had to jump up, giving her heart a jolt which made her chest feel odd. Yet she had to ignore that and the cold, as she knew that she did not have any time for that. Not right now. The first thing that she saw were the arrows coming at her. She rushed back as far as her tired legs could run. The next thing she did was run in zig zags as she had to make sure that her movements were unpredictable. No, just a straight line was utter foolishness. She then saw the blade in front of her before it sliced her forehead from the star to the rose. Yet as her body arched back the arrows dug into her arms, shoulder and right leg. Yet this had an odd sensation. One that she could call only nostalgia. Yet she just could not work out, for the life of her, of what or for when. Yet she would have the sense not to dwell upon it.  As her body collapsed to the ground the arr...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Six

The Second Division  Loc had barely time to recover when they came. She had to take a quick bite before she ran on and on. They met at the border where she met the closest one’s blade. Yet the rest dived at her and soon she felt their blades in her arms. She was hit as she lunged forward spreading pain all over her arms and back. She pressed her blade to the next one that her blade had met. Then her blade was free, then she drove it in further. Yet, just as she was about to drive the blade into the one to her right, she felt a blade in both thighs and one bit into her shoulder and another in the side of her thigh. She had to quickly flick her blade down, slicing several heads off. Yet instantly, she flicked her blade upwards, meeting the blade of the one above her. That was when she felt one in her chest, narrowly missing her heart. She drew her hand out and pulled him in. She drove her head in and bit into his nose. Yet as soon as she felt the blade jolt, she was able to pie...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Five

The First Division The first thing that they did was get everyone some food. Yet she knew that she had to be careful as too much food would have killed them. Yet she had to take a bite to eat herself. Once they were all fed, the next problem presented itself. They were all too weak to fight. So she rounded up all the people and put them all in homes regardless of who they were or how old they were. Yet there were those stubborn ones that stayed. “Look, I will be fighting out there, and if you’re still here you’ll get in the way.” “So? I don’t see why I should remain alive. My life has been wasted because of some lie and now I have nothing left! I am childless and I have done nothing with my life, so why now?” “How about raising those children that have been on the street for goodness knows how long!” At this they all nodded and took the children to their homes.  Yet she would have said the same thing to other people but she did not have the time. Not right now, when the army ...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Four

Exposing Evil Upon seeing this she looked at the people. How am I going to get them to see? Show them their mirror image . A voice spoke in her head.  So she looked around and she quickly whipped out and grabbed Peble and Rock and Stone. As the people cheered and cheered. Yet she could see that the army was getting closer and closer but at a slow speed. After all, they knew that they did not need to rush. Not with all the people all cheering and celebrating, just hoping that they would be strong enough to be dancing. So she then looked around the whole place and collected as many mirrors as she could carry. She found a wall to leave them against. She then did this again and again and again. “What are you doing evil woman?” Asked Iroh. He looked down. “Making people look at themselves.” “Oh. And who’s that skinny kid? He looks like he needs to become just as healthy as me!” “That is you.” He looked down and then up again. “No! You’re having me on!” “By Paradtopia! My face! Wh...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Three

A Good Dragon  It had barely been an hour since the sun came up when Loc woke. Someone put her up in a small room. It had a silver framed bed with baby blue sheets and a white carpet. The windowsill was made of a beautiful light shade of wood. She looked outside where the people were dancing in the middle of the road. Shd heard the laughter and the tambourines. Yet all of this brought a sense of awe as her eyes drank in all of the beauty of it all. That was when she saw a pearl white dragon with amber eyes. She looked very slender and majestic and moved with grace. She turned to the children from the other day and she breathed upon them. On the surface, it seemed that strength was restored to them, but she could tell better. Yet she was just too stunned to do anything about it. Yet she saw her breathe on the women too. This had the exact same reaction. “Bless you in all you, Will go on to do, Let success be by your side, Look to your future with pride! “Do well in through you...

The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part Two

Scratching The Surface For the next few days, Loc decided she would explore Paradtopia and observe things as she knew that something was amiss. She knew that she could not let things lie nor could she make her move until she knew the danger they were in. She knew that she would be blamed for all the misfortune that they would endure over the moment that Paradtopia, the dragon, was slain.  She looked at how the children played. Yet she noticed that there were no adults observing them nor supervising them at all! She then noticed a leather ball by the side of her ankle. She looked up to see one of the children run up to her. She suddenly noticed his skinny frame. Then the dark circles under his blackened eyes. Yet he looked so full of life and happy that it was strange. “Are you alright?” “Yes.” He said with a wide happy-go-lucky smile. “Where are your parents?” He shrugged. “Don’t have any!” “What happened?” He laughed. “I don’t know but Paradtopia says that it doesn’t matter ...
