The Nine Dragons The Water Dragon Part Seven

 The Capture 


The following day the town did all that they could to clean up the corpses of the shark army and all night they put them in the water. They cleaned up all the blood and threw it all into the water too so that none of them would see what had happened. Yet they all took whatever was left of their ropes and wrapped them around Loc’s arms. The women curled their lips as they did this before Ryu Dra came back.

“Are you still alive?” He asked coldly, clearly trying to hide his disgust and anger.

“Yes, thanks to her.”

He looked at the still unconscious Loc. He raised his eyebrow.

“We are all sorry. None of us could stop her. She was far stronger than any of us! She was like an animal out for blood! They fought well but in the end-”

His eyes looped up at the townsfolk. It took all that he could muster to bury his contempt. Yet he could tell by the look in the woman’s eyes that all they wanted to do was kill him. This was bad as it meant that they still had not learned their lesson. They all could be a problem if this rebellious streak was not nibbed in the but.

“And?”

“She kills them all! The heretic killed them all!”

“And she controlled the fire! How could she do that? Do you think that she-”

“Silence! We will take this heretic.”

“Look, all we wanted you to know is that we’re all sorry. If there was one thing that last night taught us was that we should have handed her over to you the moment that we laid our eyes on her!”

He looked at the child and smiled, it seemed somewhat pleasant and kind, yet the boy knew better.

“Thar is alright, my son! You were only doing what you thought was right.” He said, cupping his cheek.

He lifted his head. Then he took out a knife and plunged it directly into his heart! He looked shocked as for a moment he was stunned. He looked up pleadingly as he fell, coughing up blood.

“But I think that this heretic needs to be taught a lesson.” He turned to the others and his smile dropped.

He picked up Lic:s unconscious body and walked to leave.

“Kill them all.” He said as he left. 

The Dragon Cult all charged at them and ran to the men, women and rammed them in.

He walked away with the sounds of screaming as he carried Loc tightly in his arms. She remained unconscious until she was locked in her cell.

You will soon learn your place. So wake up soon. He thought as he chained her up.

He looked at her and noticed that she was actually beautiful. As she slept there he thought that she looked quite cute too. Then, in his heart, he wanted her. He wanted to crush that determination and have her eating out of his hands, begging him for his forgiveness. Even more, he wanted to see her cry.

Yet he knew that he also wanted her to become part of his ancestor’s cult. He wanted her to confess the dragons that he had been serving were gods and that she was lying when she said that she had killed two of them and their armies.

Loc woke. The first thing that she saw was Ryu Dra. He looked at her with a predatory gase. Suddenly she remembered how Wolf Raven looked at her in the same way when they first met. She felt the same feeling of being in the nude. Yet she soon felt clothed with determination as she looked at him directly in his eyes.

“Good morning sleepy head. Did you sleep well?”

Shebrolled her eyes and looked away.

“Did you?”

“Oh? What do you mean by that?”

“I’m sure that you should know by now that the dragon has no army now.”

He then let out a chuckle.

“I wouldn’t be so high and mighty once you learn the town of heretics is gone.”

Her eyes widened in shock.

“What?”

He smiled as he licked his lips.

“Yes. All of them should be dead or should be once all my followers come home. Now, this is where you will stay.”

He then left. Loc tried to escape all she could but she was yanked back by the chains. She looked up and spotted that they were tightly around her wrists. She could already feel the dry blood and she drew her legs in.

She could feel tears forming in her eyes. Yet there were not tears of sorrow, they were tears of anger. She could feel her rage build within her. She tried to pull herself up but then she felt spikes dig into her knuckles. She looked up above her head to seena row of spikes. So she dropped down.

Later a woman walked in.

“Tell me, are you Loc?”

“Yes.”

“Is it true that you killed two dragons?”

“Yes.”

“And their armies?”

“Yes.”

She smiled.

“Do you want to get out of those chains?”

“Yes.”

“Is it true that you’re not of this world?”

“Yes.”

“Do all those from your world have those black dots in your eyes?”

“Yes.”

Why is she asking me these meaningless questions?

“Do you think that they are powerful?”

“Yes.”

“Do you think that they will beat you?”

“Yes.”

What? No! I don’t believe that! Why did I say ‘yes’?

She smiled.

“Why do it them?”

“Someone has to.”

“Alright.” She said as she left.

What was that all about? She wandered as she tried to get up. She did this again and again but the only way out was through pain. So she tried again and she could feel the spikes dig into her fingers as she pushed and pushed but the spiked came down and crushed her knuckles down. Then she slumped.

Not that way.

She then started to squat until the door opened. Ryu Dra came in with a meal. Suddenly she felt her stomach rumble. Yet he sat there and ate. He then left. She felt her stomach pangs as she sat there. Yet she continued to squat until he came back and ate again and again, day after day. Sjr because thinner and thinner soon her hands fell and she raced to the door.

Time to take this all down!

  The Boa Army Loc was working hard in the field. It was getting to evening time. She had found that she liked working there as a farmer. There was just something so satisfying in doing hard work and made the food taste better and she slept better too. She could see herself doing this for the rest of her life however long that would be, yet she knew that she could not. Regardless of how much she liked the village and the people there. She had noticed that the people there looked almost like the people in her world just without any pupils and they were weaker too.
