Scar Worlds Beyond The Doors Part One
Escape
It had been a month since Scar found out who her biological mother and father were. She had tried to get the whole thing out of her head. But she could not, she just could not. Not even Beatrice and Britannia could help her. She tried to put on a brave face and she went about the day, going to school and solving crimes, the more her mind gravitated towards the events. She has even started to look over her shoulder day in and day out and would check her house before entering and leaving. She would even do it before she made every meal that she had. She had become accustomed to the feeling of no longer feeling safe and the beating heart in her ears.
She would often find herself crying and being unable to stop. Then she would see parents greet their children knowing that she would never have anything like that ever again felt like a dagger in her heart. She would put her hat on and walk away so that none would see her tears.
She had found that she had more nightmares too. She would always wake up screaming. Yet she sometimes hoped that all of this was nothing more than one big nightmare and Charlotte would come in and wrap her arms around her and tell her that it was alright. Yet she knew she would not. She would never come. She would never have anyone comfort her ever again. After all, her brother and sister were in another world, her adopted mother was dead and her biological mother not only wanted nothing more to have nothing to do with her but also wanted to see her dead. Even though her biological father was open to her, she knew than to expect him to help her. No, he had to stop her biological mother.
It was hard on her and as Christmas was coming, it was getting harder. She would always hear the other kids in her class boast about what they were going to have.
“I’m gonna have a big tyrannosaurus rex!”
“I’m gonna get a lot of chocolate!”
“I’m gonna have a big TV!”
“I’m getting a PS Two!”
“I’m getting a DS!”
Yet she would have nothing. Not even a card or anyone at home to say Merry Christmas to her or who to say it back to her. She would also pass the stairs that led to the attic many times. She was tempted to go and lose herself in one of the worlds behind those doors.
That was when the Christmas Holidays came around. This told her that the day was getting close. Yet she had to have an escape from the hell that would wait there. So, after a terrible and horrifying nightmare, she woke. She then wrote as she knew that she could no longer take the empty house or the loneliness that it brought.
She changed into a black shirt and jeans. She took her bag and made several sandwiches and put them in her bag. She then packed several clothes and put them all in her bag. She then got a compass and put on the bag.
For the first time shengaf felt a strange sense of excitement. Yet she could not explain it. She felt herself smiling for the first time in months. She looked at the fifty doors. Stunted at which door she should pick. So, after playing eenie meenie miney mo, dhe landed on the door next to the entrance to the attic. She.out on a coat and walked to the door. She turned the knob and, without a second thought, walked in.
