The Nine Dragons The Feathered Dragon Part One
The Skylands
Loc approached the front of a portal. She saw that the edge was the sky and it was all around her. Sjr looked from left to right to see that clouds were by the side of her. She looked down to see the clouds beneath her, like a white ocean. She could feel the sun shining down on her which felt just like the suns back in her home world.
She walked off the portal and onto the rim. She noticed that there was a staircase made of single stones that hung there in the air. She looked down to see that she was on a floating island.
Reminds me of the floating islands back home. Yet were some of them anything like this? Maybe…
Maybe when I get back, and have defeated my sisters, I could explore my world better and see.
Yeah…I think that I would like that.
Anyway, time to go on.
She took a step onto the first stone. She tested it first, but after seeing that it was stable, she then rested her weight on it. She then took another step. She then took another step. She took step after step. Doin she was half way up the stairs.
She took a moment to look back, just out of a curiosity brought upon her by the peaceful silence. Just to see that the portal was the exact size as the one that she came in. She saw that there were nine pillars with nine dragons on. All looked very different. She smiled as she took the moment to enjoy the beauty of the island. Yet she had to force herself to walk up the rest of the stairs.
She came to a floating rock the size of a large courtyard which, also, seemed to be floating on nothing. She noticed that there was grass going all around the edge with rose bushes going all around the edge. With a pathway that went in different directions. Leading to three staircases like the one that she walked on.
She walked to the centre pathway. She took a moment to look at the clouds beneath her. Then up to see a metal sign post to the side.
Welcome To The Skylands
So that’s what this place is called? Interesting… She thought as she walked on.
She looked to the side to see that there was a map on a wooden and metal sign post. She spotted that the other stairs led to places on different levels. One going higher and the other lower. The path that she was on was in the middle. She also noticed where she was going.
Midskyville
She walked on and entered the village with homes made of wood and stone. All on different levels of the floating land mass with stone staircases leading to higher homes that were above the lower homes.
She walked to the nearest house and knocked on the door.
A woman answered. She had chalk blue hair and green eyes without a pupil. She wore a blue dress with a pale green lace layer over it.
“Who are you?”
“Loc. You?”
“Sora Ken.”
“Sora, do you know where the dragon is?”
“Yes.”
“Where?”
“How about I tell you that, when you tell me why you have those black dots on your eyes.”
“I’m from another world, where these are normal. Now, you?”
“Go to Larskyton by night. Wait there until you’re attacked by the flock. They are the first armies of Skybridron.”
“‘Skybridon’?”
“The dragon.”
“Then?”
“They should tell you.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah.”
“So you don’t know?”
“No. None of us do nor do we wish to.”
“Right, thank you.”
Then she went on her way.
