Doormaze Drage Water Land Part One
Underwater
Doormaze woke, the first thing that she saw was the strange pattern in the concrete. It was moving too. Yet as she looked up she spotted a glass roof. Then the water beyond that.
She moved slowly as she felt achy all over. She heard a few popping sounds and she sat up. Sheet out a groan as her stiff body started to loosen up. She then stretched and she sat there.
She looked up at the glass above her, protecting the three from the water beyond. She saw the fish in the water. They were strange; they had white scales that, when light reflected off them, shone like a rainbow. There were other fish that had spikes running along their backs. They had sharp scales and fins like the wings of a bat. One swam to the white fish and snapped it. Swimming away from it.
Doormaze looked down, trying to forget what she had just seen. She saw Coalmine start to wake up and then Burn followed. She then let them sit up and stretch. Then they looked up at the window to the fish above.
“We’re underwater?”
“Seems so. How have we not drowned yet?”
“The glass. It seems to hold up the pressure of the water. Though it must be tough, if it was weak then we would be dead.”
They soon climbed to their feet as they looked around to see that they were in a home with a tunnel ahead of them.
“Suppose we need to explore this place in order to get our bearings.” Coalmine sighed.
“Yes.”
They walked down the tunnel to see that there were small rims going across the top and down to the sides. As they walked they could not help that none of them had seen a single plant! Yey as they walked on, they were soon greeted by q crossroads. They spotted that each part had signposts on it that had digital displays. To the left it said Water Village, the right, Water Town and ahead was Water City.
“So where to?” Burn asked.
“Depends on Doormaze.”
They looked at her as she looked at each of the signs. She knew that she should go to Water City first but she knew that she did not want to attract too much attention as they explored the place and got to grips with the world. She also knew that whatever evil stronghold there was in this world would immediately move to the group. Yet she could not quite know what they were up against.
“Water Town.”
“Right.”
“Then let’s go.”
They turned right to Water Town.
