The Nine Dragons Dracula, The Dragon Prince Part Eighteen
The First General
The first thing that Loc noticed when they reached the door was it was all single file. Yet they all knew that they could not make any plan in front of the door either. So they all climbed down.
“What’s the plan?”
“Simple. I go in first and scout. If these’s one then I will lead him or her away from the door. Once I give the signal, go in. Then you come in from behind.”
“Right and what should we expect?”
“Something that’s like the first army just bigger.”
“And how do we tell if it’s a general or Dracula himself?”
“He’s probably on the top floor or something.”
That is if those reports are anything to trust.
“Then I think that we need to get this show on the road!”
She nodded as she got out her Peble. She walked back up the stairs and walked in. The first thing that she felt was the tail whip her across the room. She rolled and rolled until she hit the wall. Then as she looked to the side she saw the line of fire upon her. She rolled on and on and on. Yet she noticed that the line of fire was following her. Yet she had to run on and on and on. She soon noticed that she had returned to the entrance!
That was when she was hit in the face. She flew up and hit the ceiling and hit the stairs hard. As she got up she looked behind. Then she looked on. She galloped up the stairs then slid across the entrance. Only to be hit and roll the other way. She used the momentum to roll up and she looked up as the fire came down upon her. She bent her knees and shot up and lit fire under her feet.
Then she looked up to see a large wyvern.
She saw the fire coming up on her. She dodged to the left as she flew on and then spotted the next blast coming towards her. She dived to the right only to be scratched down to the ground. She then saw the fire come down upon her. She rolled to the right as fast as she could. That was when she hit the wall.
She then forced herself onto her feet. Then sent out a blast of fire of her own and at the blast coming at her. She pushed on and on and on. She took step after step after step. She then jumped and pushed herself up and spun as she slashed down and struck.
She then felt the tail around her neck. The next moment she collided with the ground. This was followed by the fire breathing down upon her. She forced herself on and on and on but the fire was pushing her down. She then noticed that the air was thin like she was on top of a tall mountain.
Just get this creature further away from the entrance. Just focus on that. She thought as she pushed on and on and on. Then when she reached the wall, she held her breath as she pushed herself up with her own fire.
She looked around as the wyvern took a break. She saw that she was still near the entrance. Yet she looked on to see the other end of the room. She ran on and on and on only to be struck. She flew back and hit the top of the wall. She flicked her legs down and pushed on. The next thing she noticed was the eye as she slashed across it. Then she rolled on and fell then crashed.
She looked up as she saw the fire coming. She ran on and on and on and got further and further and further away from the entrance. She kept going.
“Now!” She shouted when she knew that the wyvern was far enough from the entrance.
That was when a frown appeared on the general’s face. Yet, before he could see anything, she dived up and flung a ball of fire at the eye. He flew out of the way. She flung another at his face and another and another and another. Yet she took glimpses at the entrance and saw more and more rush in. She then forced herself to focus her attention back on the strange wyvern general and saw the fire coming.
She dodged to the right and then to the left and to the right again. She saw another one coming at her. She dodged that one only to be hit immediately after. She spun as she flew and hit the wall again. She gasped as she gripped onto a ridge. She was about to pull herself up when she was hit again. However she then pushed the fire on and back in the head.
Yet he swayed his head to the left and behind him! He looked back only for a moment. Quickly she dived on and went to strike the other eye when he raised his head up to her and scoffed at her trying to distract him and flung her down. She hit the ground before she could do anything.
Then before he could do anything arrows hit the eye and throat and he fell.
“One down, two to go!” One of the men spoke.
Loc looked down the stairs and at the stairs ahead. Yet, before she could do anything she felt itching erupt from halfway down her calf and shin to see that the rest of the leg was regenerating! She bit her lip as she endured the itching as the rest of the leg fully formed.
