The Nine Dragons The Dragon Of The Ground Part Eight

 The Freeing Of Children 

It had been an entire morning and afternoon on foot without even a lunch break or any break at all. She had found herself looking at Gin, Ryu and Kin from time to time. She took in their toned body and the broadness of their strong shoulders. Then the angle of their necks and jaws. She took it all in.

“What are you looking at?” Kuro asked.

She looked down.

“Oh? Is that a blush?”

“Yes, I see it!”

She looked up at them with narrow eyes.

“I’m blushing?”

“What?”

“You mean you did not notice before?”

“No.”

“Have you blushed before?”

“Not that I know of.”

They all looked at each other and laughed.

“You mean that this is-”

“The first time you blushed?”

“Shhhh!”

Loc looked at them, feeling annoyed as they were amused. They all found a rock to hide behind and at the road. Then they saw an army of rock giants pulling a rope with the rock animals at either side of a small group of children. Loc looked closer and spotted the rope around their wrists. She looked backar Ryu, who was next to her.

“Do epwe follow?”

“Yes. Once we get to the goal.”

“I will set it alight.”

“Yes, what?”

“Look, I can produce fire and I found those pools.”

His eyes widened.

“Good work!”

She smiled and nodded. Suddenly, she felt the increase of her heartbeat. Her hands seemed to sweat and she felt her shoulders were forward she lowered her head.

“Thank you”

They all followed the line of children. Shiro and Yuki looked back to prevent a surprise attack. Yami and Kuro looked at both ends. They followed the line to a large chamber. Where the children were directed to the far left and forced down to their knees. They were surrounded by a large pool in the shape of a square that glowed turquoise. This reminded Loc of the Sunburner’s temple. She touches the black star in between her eyes.

That was when she heard the sobbing. This ignited a fire within her. A fire of fury that threatened to devour her. She knew that he had to stay put but the anger was boiling her blood, stopping clear thought.

Suddenly the pool burst out into flames! She darted to the nearest Rock giant and whacked the shin of the giant. It then collapsed and the fire covered it and she thrust her hmmer down to the head. She hammered and hammered again and again and again until there was nothing but rubble. She then heard the sounds of screams. She looked back to see a giant going the group of children. She charged at it and smashed the sole of the foot.

“Get out of here!” She shouted.

The group behind and nodded? She put out the fire. They ran on and on. She saw two stand in their way. That was when Ryu ran to one and Yami ran to another. They pulled out a group of nails. They pulled out one each and drove it into the shin with a hammer. They whacked the nail again and again and again and then they were in. That was when they whacked another one in and another and another. Then there was a crack. They then hit up and the leg separated as the body and it fell.

Shiro and Gyoran to one to the left and they did the same. So did Yuno and Kyo. Then they did this again and again and again.

Then the children ran out of the left chamber. This kept them all to the battlefield. She then was about to move on until she was hit. She felt Ryu on her as she landed. She looked up to see the fist coming down. She quickly pushed Ryu off her and spun out of the way and thrust her hammers into the side of the wrist. She grabbed its arm and ran up it when she reached the head she saw the shadow. She dived out of the way and, as it's own fist smashed the head, it fell. 

She saw a rock giant to her left. She jumped off the one that she was on and onto the next one. She thrust her hammers into the face and she saw the shadow of something behind her. She saw one to the right. She jumped off the one as he fell. Sr then stuck out her tongue at him. This caused him to try and hit her and she jumped up and fell. Then as she went to the next, she had realised that she had miss-judged, she fell and hit the ground with a crash. She felt the itching as she got up and took her hammers.

She looked up to see Kuro take down his third rock giant. He then climbed onto the body. He then went to run to the head. He then saw the hand and hit it with the hammer. He then saw the next and hammered that. Loc saw the fist come down in front of him. He hit and then she saw one come from the back and it hit his spine. He flew to the wall and it ran to him. 

She went to charge after the rock giant. She saw the fist being drawn back. She was about to reach him when the fistbcame forward and Kuro’s crushed corpse fell.

She let out a cry as Yami let out a roar of anger and sorrow. He ran to the arm and ran up and then hit the head again and again and again and again with tears flowing from his eyes. Then the giant fell. That was when Loc saw the next fist and dived at it. She thrust the hammer into the fist. She reached out her hand to him. He looked at it and glared at it. She then grabbed him and pulled him up and thrust him on. He looked down at her, his face pale.

They then continued to the head. He then looked up at the next rock giant. He then looked back and ran directly at the head. He hit it again and again and again and again and again. He looked up and dived to the next one and did the same. He dived to the next one only to be grabbed from behind. He was flung in the air as he reached the wall he drove his legs back and propelled himself off it. He dived at another one as he did, he saw Gyo diving out of the way of a fist. He hammered to the fist only to be hit to the left. He ducked and hit up.

Kuro then turned back to the one that he dived to. He gripped onto the back. He put his hammer in his mouth as he climbed higher and higher. He then came to the top and hit the head again and again and again and again. Then he fell. He looked back at Gyo. Only for him to no longer be there. He looked around for him and saw the red mass on the wall and the remnants of his head. He let out a scream and his stomach dropped as he saw the shadow. 

He looked back to the last one behind him. He said the foot and ducked. He saw the other and ducked. Then was able to get the opening to hit the foot but this did nothing. He dived out of the way as Ryu and Yuki hit it in the small of its back again and again. Then he jumped onto the toes and he hit the biggest again and again and again and again.

He looked at the other toe then Shiro jumped to it. He hit the toe again and again and again until they both fell off. Then they hit the heel again and again and again and again until it fell. Then they heard a scream and a crack.

They all got off the rock and ran back to see the crushed dead body of Yuno.
