The Nine Dragons The Dragon Of The Ground Part Nine

 Fall Of The Second Army


They spent the afternoon mourning the loss. Meanwhile Loc thought about her team and the rebellion that she led and her friends and family back in her world. She thought about all those that she had led to their deaths. She remembered her actions and the deaths that they led to and the ones that she killed. 

She looked at Ryu, Kin, Kyo, Kuro, Yuki and Shiro. She wondered how long it would be until she led them to their deaths? She wondered if she should stay with them? Or if it would be better if she should go it alone?

They spent most of the night making their way to the camp of the second army. The only reason that they stopped was their own tiredness. Once they were well rested they ate and arrived at the camp.

Remember Loc, regardless of what you see, don’t lose your mind. You have to remain calm or what happened will happen again.

And I don’t want that.

So, she was about to leave but Ryu pulled her back. She looked up at him. He gave her a stern look.

“What are you doing, Loc?”

She looked aside.

“I am the reason that they are dead.”

“And do you think that is a good enough reason to leave us?”

“Yes. After all, if this continues I am going to get you all killed!”

“Try not to be so self centred. Do you not understand? I saw you back there I saw you being overwhelmed by those rock men. I do not even know why you are still alive! But if you were to go now, then you will only be overwhelmed and killed!”

“But I can’t die! I’m immortal!”

“So. You still can be overwhelmed! And worse! You could be taken and they will convert you to one of them!”

Shs looked away.

“Now come on. We are all going to fight the dragon and his armies.”

She nodded.

“Right.”

She bit her lip as she walked on. She felt her heart sinking as she looked at Ryu. She hoped that he did not die or any of the others. She then noticed that her heart was racing. She could feel herself feeling hot. However she knew that she did not have the time to address it.

They soon saw the camp. Loc looked at Ryu.

“Loc you go at the front. I will be by your side. Yuki, Shiro, you go at both sides. Kuro, Kyo, yougo at the back. Kin, you wait and tell us where the rock giants are. As for how we destroy the head, just do all that you can to get to the head. Take Loc’s actions for further reference!”

The rest nodded.

There’s my heart going again! She thought as she waited for the rest to take their positions.

Once they were, she knew that they were ready. She looked at Ryu again, noticing just how handsome he was. She noticed just how focused and the determination in his eyes. She noticed that this made him look even more attractive and her heartbeat felt more like butterflies, flying around in her ribcage. 

Focus, Loc, focus.

She looked on as both of them pulled out their hammers.

I should give them a name.

Rock and Stone.

‘Rock and Stone's?

Peble, Rock and Stone.

Oh, okay.

Then they walked on and on. The first thing that they saw was the rock giant looking directly at them.

“Well, hello there!”

Loc looked at Ryu. He nodded. Knowing that they were not going to have the time to do anything else or put their plan in motion, they ran to him. He lounged as the others came racing towards them.

“Big toe!” She shouted.

“Good plan!”

They soon came to the foot of the first one that they were the closest to. Loc jumped to his feet. She looked down and was about to strike down when she said the foot to the left. She spun her body and struck the side of the big toe, before she flew across the air. She slammed into the shin of one. She climbed up the shin. Then she saw the hand coming at her. She dived to the calf of the other leg. She then thrust Rock and Stone into the calf as hard as she could. She then started to feel the fall as gravity started pushing her down. Yet she thrust them into that calf again and again and again as the body fell down. Then, when she hit the gshe stuck up. This caused a long crack in the calf. Sne ran to the shin of the leg. She thrust the hammers into the shin as hard as she could. Then she climbed up and hit again. Snr dived to the food and thrust them into the big toe. This caused the rock giant to lose balance and fell into the rock giants behind him. Taking them out as they fell.

She then looked for Ryu and soon found him. He then soon noticed her and shot her the get-your-head-back-into-the-fight look. She nodded as she dived to the next one. She did the same to that one, this took out six more. She was about to do the same to the next onebit he caught her. She knew that she was about to be crushed when Yuki dived down and thrust his pickaxe into the head. He did this again and again and again and again until he let go of her and fell.

He dived to the next one and thrust his pickaxe down into the head again and again and again. Then that one fell and he dived to the next one. He did the same. Then she was about to do the same as she went to the next one when she saw that he was caught. He turned his pickaxe up and swung it into the fist and it dug deep into the fist and he did this again and again and again and again. Then he fell and he dug his pickaxe into the shin as he fell.

Loc ran to the calf of the leg. Then she drove the hammers down as hard as she could. Soon the giant fell down, taking several more out.

Then they were about to go on further until they heard a cry behind them. The next thing that they saw was a group of rock giants hitting something like a ball. The next thing that they saw was the body of Kin hitting his body like a football.

At this both Loc and Ryu ran to the giants, Loc thrust her hammers to one of them alongside Ryu and Yuki who did the same to another. The next moment the giants fell inwards, smashing their heads together. They looked back to see that they were far from done. So they focused upon another group. They did all that they could to take chunks out of the shins and calves. Then, as they fell, they all got out of the way.

Right now. How many are left?

She looked back to see more coming. She ran to them. She saw a foot and dodged out of the way. She reached out her hand and pulled herself up. Sne climbed up the leg. Shr then felt herself being grabbed and pulled up from behind. She then thrust her hammers back again and again and again into the front of the wrist until it was smashed. She felt herself falling and, when she reached the ground, she rolled over again and again and again. She rolled up and flung out the hammers and whacked the centre of the foot that was coming down upon her as hard as she could.

She then rolled on to the side and hit the side of the foot. This caused the foot to fall off as it hit the ground. She then dived to the ankle and hit it as hard as she could again and again and again until it cracked. Yet she continued until it fell off. The rock giant fell back into several behind. 

Yet she climbed up as she looked up to see Yuki.

He dodged a foot and climbed up like a spider. He quickly climbed up and thrust his pickaxe into the head again and again then he jumped on to the next one. He hit the head again and again and again and again until the head was smashed. He dived onto the next and did the same before diving to the next one and repeated the action. He did this again and again and again and again. Then he went to dive to the next one only to find that he misjudged and he started falling. Then she ran and ran as fast as she could to him, but then a foot came right at her. She ducked and ran on. Sbe saw another and dived to the right, only to hear a grim crack. Her heart sank as she saw the corpse before it was trampled on.

No!

She ran as Shiro only just reached him. She saw the foot and whacked the side as hard as she could before climbing up. She soon reached the top to see Ryu taking out another one before diving onto the next one. She looked on to see Kyo also diving to another one. She then saw Yumi clearing his group.

She then returned to her rock giant and hit the head as hard as she could again and again and again and again until it finally smashed. She looked around to see the nearest one. Then she dived to it and thrust her Stone to the top of the forehead. This was soon followed by Rock and did this again and again and again and again. She felt herself down as she hit the head with the right and then the left and then the right then the left again, right, left, right, left. Smash! She jumped onto the next one. Then she did the same. One after the other. 

She then saw Kyo smash the next one. To her relief, she saw that they were near the end. Yet then she looked back to Kyo as he took out one only to be slammed to the floor by one from behind as Ryu went on to taking that one out. Loc jumped onto the last one and kept hammering until the head smashed.

After they turned their dead.

  Hunter’s Defence  Scar opened her eyes. She then walked down the stairs. She slowly took out her homework, just to take her mind off the day before she started doing it.  Defending The Town  It was nearly an hour after sunrise when Loc saw the army on the far end of the tunnel. She looked back at Gina. She nodded and gave her a couple of coins with a dragon head on. “There’s a weapon’s shop at the edge.” Loc gave her the basket and ran to it. “Doyouhavammer!” “What?” “Do you have a hammer?” “Yes.” She gave him the coins. Yet then he looked at her eyes and his widened. “That’s enough for two.” He took them and took out two large hammers. She took them. She felt the weight and threw them in the air a few times. “Good weight!” “Hold on! You can hold them both?” “Yeah.  The Rock Dragon  Loc and the other two arrived at where the rock dragon lay. It looked at them with glowing amber eyes and had the shape of a turtle that was large. It had a head the shape of a wolf and had a long tail with four rows of spikes shaping an X at the tip. It had a pair of wings tucked away, yet the body had become too large to fly. It may have been able to fly once upon a time, but not now. After years of being glutinous, it had grown too heavy for it’s body.  Sorrowful Rest Loc spent most of her time between sleep and rest in the underground library, as she tried to stop herself from crying. Looking at the whole place, Loc could not help but feel nostalgic for Billy’s Bookshop.
