The Nine Dragons The Dragon Of The Ground Part Five
The Journey To A
Level Lower
She came to a row of tunnels at both ends. So she followed them. The first thing that she saw was the rock man at his post next to the tunnel that was at the top of a set of stairs. Sbe crouched down to hide herself from the light. She slowly approached the mouth of the tunnel to take a peek down to see that there was a row of five rock men on each step. She would have looked as if she was to win; she would have to be more brave and less smart.
She looked up at the guard, knowing that the moment that he was taken down, the battle would begin. However, she knew that she could not avoid it. So she might as well start it right here and now, while she has the upper hand. Then she felt a rocky fist into the gut. She flung back and whacked the head as hard as she could. Soon it broke apart. Then the moment that she landed, she felt the floor shaking.
Sbe quickly raced down the stairs as more rock men coming. They raced up to her. She then jumped and thrust the hammers out and this took out the two at each end. She dived left and thrust it down taking out the ones below. She was about to jump when she was hit back.
She hit the tunnel wall. She pushed off it but then was back at the wall again. Soon she felt another fist and heard a crack. She felt pain shoot up into her brain. She then felt a fist in her ribs. Her head hit the corner.
She then felt a foot on her leg, crushing it. She then went to hammer it but she just noticed that they were not in her hands! She felt the bones break as she had to look for them through sweat and tears. She soon found that they were on the step below her leg!
She screamed as she pulled up and had to break her leg as she pushed past him. She flipped over and hit her head as she only just reached one of them.
“Oh no you don’t!” One sang, before standing on the centre of her back.
She cried out as she pushed on with all she had. Yet she felt her ribs cracking and dislocated. She forced herself to breathe in and out for airlike she was drowning.
I can’t do this! I can’t do this! I can’t do this! I can’t do this!
But who will? Who in this world has power like you?
But this is too much! It’s insane! This is just insane!
You’re immortal! You can!
‘I’m immortal’? Does that actually mean anything? Seriously, even an immortal has her limits and I have found it!
No. You haven’t. You have yet to be truly broken, Loc. I know you can do it. So push on! You can handle it. You can handle more than you have.
So she pushed herself on. She could feel her internal organs and her waist break as she reached her hammer and then flicked down to the shin. Then she shielded her head as he fell, taking several down with him.
She felt her body break out in an agonising itchiness as her body pulled itself back together. She then looked to the side to see a foot of one about to crush her. She hit down on the shin and he fell over. He landed on the row that had replaced the ones that the other one took out. She looked around to see one above her. Sbe hammered up on the calf. Then he fell and hit more. She looked up to see that there were not that many rows left.
Where did they all go? She thought as she felt the itching stop.
She got up. Then she shot at one and hit the head the moment that her feet reached the wall. The debris hit the rest.
So the moment that she landed, she looked on in shock. All she could do was walk down the stairs as her mind processed all that she had just done.
