Doormaze Drage Leaving Part Four

 The Gap

After Doormaze had learnt the truth, things changed and yet time still went on. Even Nataleen stopped her bullying of her. She would have thought that this was simply because she had finally grown up and left her alone, however she knew the girl better than that. No chances were that she was just waiting, waiting for the right time to strike. Doormaze always knew that she was always snake-like like that.

Then it came no less than five days after the revelation, a letter addressed to her. She knew by the brown, thick paper and the font of the writing, that it was written by a feathered quill. This told her who wrote this and what wrote this. She quickly opened it without saying a word. Inside was a map of the town that she was living in and a letter.

Dear Doormaze Drage,

I assume you know who we are

and what we are and who we want.

So come to the designated aria and

tell none. I am well aware that you

must know what the consequences

will be if you disobey.

She put the paper into her pocket and then walked upstairs. She put on her coat. Knowing that she would not be able to say goodbye, she went back downstairs and left the building. However, just like the time when she learnt that Cardmorgue was her older sister, she did not know that she was being followed. By those two. Kai had been shadowing her since the revelation, hoping that she was alright with what she had learnt. He had also been keeping an eye on Natalee with the exact same suspicion as Doormaze, if not more

Meanwhile Natalee followed silently. She did not want either Doormaze or Kai to know that she was tailing them. No, she wanted to give them quite a surprise. Then she would do something, something that would destroy any budding romance before they even had the time to bloom. Yet she knew what exactly that was and when she would do it. After all, she thought that he was about to tell the girl his true feelings for her and that was the one thing that would destroy her the most.

They walked away from the houses and buildings and into the forest. They walked on and on and deeper and deeper into the forest. Only Doormaze knew how long they would be here. Yet she was also the only one who knew this forest the best. In fact she had explored this place when she was a child and would get lost. She also knew where she was going.

She then came to her favourite cave in the forest. They followed. She took a turn. They took a turn. She climbed. They climbed. She climbed down. They climbed down. She came to a large chamber of the cave. She had always been drawn to this place the most, yet she did not quite know why. They then hid while she walked on.

They both had to cover their mouths when their eyes rested upon a large dragon. It had cruel and cold eyes, that both were terrified to look at as they feared that they would die the moment that they did. Its' size was so large that it was only five heads below the roof of the cave that was the size of five floors.

"I see you came."

She looked up at it yet she was still stunned at seeing that the dragon that she had dreamed about was not only real but her heart became rapid and faint as the reverence of the dragon overwhelmed her.

"W-where...where is d-d-dad?" She stuttered as she tried to regain some sort of bravery.

"In our world. Yet you can get him, but you can only do it by-"

"Completing a Reality Sphere. I know. C-can we get this over with?"

At this the dragon laughed.

"Eager are we not?"

She let out a sigh.

"I-I"

"Tell me, did you invite that boy over there?" He asked.

At this she felt shock run throughout her body. She looked back and her eyes were bright purple as Kai walked out. His face was paler than usual and his body was shaking.

"Doormaze, wh-what do they want with you?"

"Aw he is so concerned! Do you love her Kai?"

"How-"

He smirked knowingly.

"Maybe I will tell you in time." He said as his eyes slid back to Doormaze. "Would you wish to say goodbye?"

She looked at the boy. She was speechless as she did not know how to respond to what she was coming to understand. Of all the times that she had seen him she never thought...However, thinking back on them, of how red his face would go whenever she would look at him or pay even the most minute attention. Yet she thought that he hated her and would be embarrassed by her existence. She had always thought that he had feelings for Natalee; she had never thought that he had feelings for her and not Natalee! Yet thinking back on it now it made sense.

"Urm...goodbye?"

She looked away, still not knowing what would be the appropriate response to this.

"Doormaze, what are they going to make you do?" He asked.

"Urm...They want me to do a job...Which means that I'll be going away. I-I don't know for how long…" she tailed. "But tell...Cardmorgue I'm bringing them back!"

He looked away, clearly upset.

"Please don't go!"

She looked down, it was all too clear that she did not have a choice. He then turned to the dragon.

"Please Mr Dragon! Let me come with her! Please! I don't want her to leave! You must let me go with her!" He begged.

"No. Now that you have said your goodbyes it is time for her to go."

"No! Please no! Let me go with her!"

She looked up both afraid and shocked. Yet there was part of her that was moved by this.

"No. That is my final answer, now child, I will not kill the boy. However Kai will stay here so that massage will not be delivered. Now take this." He said as she reached out and took hold of something and the next moment she was gone!
