Eva And Withele' Mytholonia And Legendara Arc Part Three
The Spider And The Snake
It had been almost a year since they berried Kai. She had claimed her
identity as Withele' and her grandmother had started calling her by
that name. Withele' had none around her to call her Eva so she did
not need to use it. She had enjoyed the whole year and learnt a lot
about her and wished to know about her mother.
“Well, deer, when she was a child she was just as sweet as you.”
she said.
“But what about as an adult?”
“Well, deer, I don't think now is the time to tell you, however I
know that I will have to tell you some day, when you are old enough
to understand.” she would always reply with a clear look of pain in
his eyes.
“Is she dead?” she asked.
She closed her eyes with a sorrowful look in her eye and shook her
head. “No.”
“Then?”
“I think that you should go out to collect some berries for me as I
think of the right words.” she said as she smiled.
She nodded as she collected the small basket. She walked up as Mr
Whiskers followed her up the stairs. She pushed up the trap door. She
then walked to where the berries were. Her grandmother had taught her
how to tell the difference between the juicy berries and the ones
that would go off quickly and the ones that looked ripe but had a
couple of days sill yet to become truly ripe.
She picked out all of the ripe berries and then was about to go back
home until she spotted a green shine to her left. She slowly placed
her basket down and walked to where the shine came from. She then
spotted to her relief it was only a snake. She let out a little
giggle at how much her past experiences blew something so small out
of proportion.
“You would be right.” said the snake.
Wait did that snake just talk?
“Yes I did Withele'.”
What? Did that snake just read my mind?
“Yes I did and I have been waiting a long time for this.”
“Hold on I know that voice...” she took a step back and gulped.
“Yes, it is the snake queen in her
pre-enchanted form, but no matter both me an my sister will
return to our normal state just
once we have drank the blood of the one who made us the way we were.”
“And what, you're gonna kill me before that happens? Is that why
you're here?”
“No! I don't want to kill you now,
after all it is your
mother that made us the way that we were. So we can't
kill you yet, after all you do
share her blood.” she told her.
She took a step further backwards as she placed her hand over the
bend of her neck. She was about to use her magic to burn the snake
but then she heard a scream.
“Ahh, looks like my sister has your grandmother.”
She looked down with wide eyes.
“Now I will guide you to where she has taken her and I hardly need
to tell you what will happen to her if you do not let us drink your
blood.” she said with a smirk.
Her face went slightly green but nodded.
“Lead the way.” she said as she felt a cold nauseous sensation in
the back of her throat.
“Good girl.” she commented. “Seems like you're nothing like
your mother.”
She frowned at that comment as she silently followed the serpent.
They soon came to the place after what felt like hours but she knew
that it was most likely only half of one. She spotted that her
grandmother was being suspended in air from webbing that had a purple
hue. It was all too clear that despite them both being in their true
serpent and spider form they still had magic and that would mean that
they would have power too.
“She is here! Good girl!” said a black widow on her shoulder. The
serpent looked up at her.
“Looks like you were right my sister.”
“Were you surprised?”
“Well knowing her mother, yes.”
During this Withele' snook behind her grandmother and pulled out a
pen knife and slit the webbing around her wrists. She then laid her
down. She picked the Jorogumo queen off her. She caught a glimpse of
other black widows in the shadows signalling that if she tried
anything then they would be able to kill her grandmother within a
heartbeat.
She closed her eyes.
“Aww! She cut her grandmother down!” the Jorogumo queen taunted.
“Of course that did little to get her out of danger.”
“L-let's just get this over with.” she muttered.
She felt herself shaking with fear. She did not want to die nor did
she want Olf to either. She did not even want to have to endure the
pain that she knew would lead her to her death. She knew that what
they had on mind would bring her agony.
Her head felt light as her vision spun. She then shook as she knelt.
She felt herself flinch as the snake queen slithered up her body. She
felt her breathing increase as she closed her eyes. The back of her
neck became stiff as she felt them reach her neck. She bit her lip as
they dug their fangs in the bend.
The pain went throughout her brain. She bit harder on her lip to stop
her from crying out. She felt the pain became greater as they grew.
She then kept her eyes shut to make sure that part of her fear at
bay. She felt herself become slightly faint as the blood left her
body. She then felt two hands on her shoulders. They then pulled
away.
She felt herself rise off the ground this caused her to open them.
She looked at the face of her nightmares. She then let out a scream
so loud that it would have woke up the dead. She felt her legs run on
the thin air. Her eyes were wide as her vision locked onto her. It
was just like her nightmares down to every hairline.
“Screaming already?”
“We have not even started yet!” laughed the Jorogumo.
She felt a liquid run down her chest. The Snake Queen then cupped her
cheek in her hand, almost motherly.
“Are you afraid little one?” she asked.
She kept quiet. She knew that the answer to that was and she knew
better than to answer.
“Tell me, why are you afraid.”
She did not answer that either, for they all knew the answer to that.
“Alright, why are we going to kill you?” she said as her eyes
glanced at her grandmother. She looked back too, already knowing the
implications. She closed her eyes for a moment.
“B-because-b-because-” she could say as tears fell.
“Come on you can say it.”
“I-I k-killed y-you b-because you t-tried to k-kill me.” she
said.
“You're right, she is a good girl. Now, why did we try to
kill you?”
“R-revenge, on m-my m-mum a-and m-me!” she cried.
“Good, now tell me why are you afraid?”
“B-because y-you're g-going to kill me!” she cried.
“Now are you-”
“Yes!” she wept.
That then they came up closer to her.
“Now, about that death that I promised you.” she whispered.
“What is that?” asked the Jorogumo Queen looking up at the sky.
They all looked up at the sky to see a silver jet with the name of
Falcon 13.
“Sara?” Withele' recognised.
“You know what that is?”
She looked at her with confusion.
“Yes, it's a jet.”
“But who's Sara?” she asked with a smirk.
That was when she heard an explosion.
“Sara!” she shouted as she pushed to where the explosion came
from.
That was when she hears a high-pitched sound and she fell on the
ground. She looked back to see that the Jorogumo Queen. There was a
mini-waterfall of blood flowing from her temple and then then she
heard another and soon the snake queen fell they then turned back to
their original form. With that she summoned fire and burnt them both
of them and then the rest.
She then checked her grandmother's pulse and to her relief that she
was alright. She then spotted that her ears were pointy. Her eyes
widened as she processed what she had seen and what it meant.
“Eva?” she heard from behind.
She looked back to see that her sister Sara was still alive. She
drank in her brunette hair and brown eyes. She threw her arms around
her.
She laughed.
“W-what's going on?” she asked.
“Withele'? What-who is this?”
“'Withele''?”
“Yes, that's the name my biological mum gave me and this is her
mum, and grandma, this is Sara, my eldest adopted sister.”
“Well, deer, you are a beautiful young lady.”
“'Young'? I'm thirty four!”
“Well that is still young to me.” he said. “I'm really glad to
meet you.”
“Well, me too.”
“We have a lot to talk about.”
“Yes, we are!” she laughed.
