Strena Animéga Part Two

 Location Of The

East Demon King

“This really is a beautiful place.” Leonardo commented.

Cerpheres draped himself over him.

“You really think so?”

“Si!”

He chuckled as he pulled back.

“You ought to see the Sky Kingdoms one day!”

“I'll keep that in mind!”

He looked at the river as it started to glow as the waters became disturbed. Fireflies and tiny winged fae flew over the surface like yellow and amber stars. The fae laughed as they started to play with the fireflies. Some looked down at the water then a fish flicked out of the water and two dived at it and carried it away to the shoreline opposite, leading to a camp of fae. The fire was lit up with a fire in the centre. Surrounding the fire were rings and rings of dancing fae. Singing in their native tongue.

Suddenly Strena found herself walking too where they were. That was when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked back, snapping out of the trance. She spotted that it was none other than Cerpheres. He gently but firmly pulled her back.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you. I can tell that you’re a good book to read and I don’t want it to close just yet.”

Strena frowned as she was confused at the statement. Then she went over what he had just said, especially the end of the sentence and suddenly she felt her body become cold. She resisted the urge to look back as they walked on. She bit her lip as she felt the temptation rise and rise. Yet she kept moving on and on and on until she knew that they were out of sight.

“Thank you Mr Cerpheres.”

“I wouldn’t if I were you.”

“What do you mean by that?”

He opened his mouth to say when something hit him in the head. She dived at him only to see him pull something out of him. As he looked down, he saw a ninja star. His face brightened up as the wound healed.

“Ahh! Looks like we have company!”

That was when she looked around to see some flying at Chashathrophogh. Quickly she dived at him and hit his legs as hard as she could. He looked at her in anger until he saw the stars falling into the tree next to him. He looked at her with surprise.

“All of you, watch out!”

They all looked at the tree and where they came from. Soon they saw more coming at them. They dived out of the way as they all scanned around to see where they were coming from.

“The river!” Strena called as more came at them.

They all looked at the river as they dived out of the way, to see a black figure quickly sink beneath the small waves. Bash loaded her bow and looked at the water. She then fired at him but the water acted like a shield against the arrow.

That was when Strena closed her eyes to gather her magic to will the water where he was most likely to be, to boil. She saw several fish rise to the surface of the water. Yet the figure was nowhere to be seen. So she looked at the water to see if there were any bubbles. Yet she soon found them.

Once she did she used her will to pull the water to them all. Soon a hand was visible. Then a man dressed in black dived out, like the one in the River Towns. He flung several stars at her. These were deflected by Cerpheres’s stars as she felt a hand pull her back as the man pulled out a pair of daggers with a ring at where weight should be.

She looked back to see that it was Cerpheres with an murderously angry look at the man. Yet upon looking at her and the rest he smiled.

She pulled out her swords and dived at the ninja. She dodged to the left, he blocked, to the right, he blocked. She jumped and went to hit him in the abdomen, but he dived back. She dived forward as she flicked Darkector across him. He blocked with one, then went to stab at her, she ducked and went to slash him but he dived back.

Come on! Just get one scratch on him! That’s all I need.

So she swung left and right at the same time as he blocked. She used her magic to strengthen her arms and went to drive her head forward. He drove his head back and she shot her knee up into his loins. His grip loosened and she drove her blades to his arms and slashed the firearms.

Then he flicked his foot to her gut. She flew back, keeping a tight grip on her blades as hard as she could. She prepared for the impact of the landing but she was grabbed by the back of her collar and was flung back to him. She drove her blades up as she willed herself to start spinning. He drove his blades down but they skimmed her. She drove then out and her head hit his abdomen. Winding him as she twisted her head further and he dropped his blades.

He drove his hands in and grabbed her by the throat. She dropped her blades and pulled up. She went to kick him in the face but he grabbed her ankle before it could even hit. So she drove her left leg right into his chin. Then she thrust her foot into his throat, causing him to let go.

She quickly landed and drove her fists into his gut again and again and again as rapidly as she could. Left, right, left, right over and over again, barely daring to take a break. Then she felt a fist in her temple and she hit the ground.

She went to get up but she saw the stars reach her. She rolled out of the way but one dug into her calf.

She could feel herself becoming tired so she summoned all her power she had and drove it into his body. Soon he hit the ground.

“Wh-who are you?” She panted.

“Do not give the name!”

“Why did you attack us?”

“Kitsuné Ryu ordered it!”

“Where is he?”

“Far island.”

“And why did you tell us and not your name?”

“You win. Told to put others to sleep. Fight only you.”

“Wh-why?”

“That’s alright, take a moment to catch your br-”

That was when his skin was coated in shadow and then burst out in flames and was engulfed in the fire. He writhed and writhed but no sound escaped his lips. Soon his abdomen became drenched in blood which dried and was burned away and soon he was nothing but a pile of ash being blown away in the wind.
