The Town At The Mouth

They woke up. Bash looked at Cerpheres as he steered the barge. He looked on for a moment. She remembered the day’s events with nothing but disdain. She thought about the assassin that her very own mother sent. About his mission and what her mother had planned. Even though she knew that had he succeeded, she would be dead, King Skipher could still do something to make sure that she would force that ring on her finger.

Then her eyes dropped to Zaryb. She thought about the plan that they agreed upon. She might just end up having to marry him if they had not found another solution. She did not know if she was ready for that. However, if they had not resolved this when she was eighteen then it would not matter. Yet she had to let the thought sink in. She stretched out as the rest stirred.

“Gooood mooorniiing sleeeping beauuutieees!” 

Bash and Chashathrophogh moaned.

“Did you beat her?”

“No. As I didn’t fight her, she left.”

“Where are we?”

“At the mouth. You were sleeping for a whole week! I wondered if I would have to kiss you all to wake you!”

He looked falsely disappointed.

“Too bad you didn’t. I’d’ve loved to see the look on all your faces!” He giggled to himself.

Bash, Chashathrophogh and Zaryb punched him.

“What?!”

That was when their stomachs started to rumble.

“We need to eat.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

“We need to get something down us or all our fights will end like that.”

So they ended up docking at a stone building surrounded by water. It’s walls were chalk purple and a silver doorframe with vines in an arch with violet doors. 

They soon walked in and ordered their food, making sure to keep their faces hidden. Their stomachs ached with hunger. They could feel the drool coming through their teeth, threatening to come out of the corners of their mouths. They all swallowed as they made their way to the table and the men sat down crossed legged and Bash and Strena knelt. Which Bash found felt uncomfortable. Then they passed the menu over to Cerpheres, who talked them through the menu and ordered their food and we're soon eating. Yet, during this time, Bash looked up at the painting of the Emperor. Then the corner of her mouth turned up.

“What is it?”

“The Emperor here is Xi Fang.”

“So?”

She leaned in closer.

“He has one of the top bounties. If I get him then we don’t need to worry about money for a year!”

“But so we have the time?”

“Yes.”

“Alright. After food we can work on that!”

So soon they all had finished their meal and rowed to a place near the palace. Which had a large land mass and green grass. In the centre was chalk off white palace that has the lower floors larger than the top. 

They circled it and saw no openings. So Bash dived over the edge and swam under the water. It took all that she had to keep her eyes open. She looked all around the schools of fish swimming to and fro. She looked at the stone beams that kept the building above in place. 

She swam down and down. Once she was deep enough, she looked up to see a back square in the centre of the building. She swam up to the square to see that it was an opening to a chamber under the castle. She then swam back and told them what she had found. So they all dived in and swam up the square and soon were in.

Yet no sooner as they were all in, was when Xi Fang walked in. She fired an arrow in his hands. He screamed and soon a pair of guards came behind him.

“Get them. And kill them!”

Quickly they dived at the group. The first one dived for Strena and pulled out her swords. She soon met their's and soon Darkector cut through one after the other and the one next did not hesitate to thrust his foot into her gut. Soon she was on the ground. Chashathrophogh threw a ball of light at them, driving them into their skulks. That was when he felt a pain hit his head. He looked back then punched her in the head. He looked back and punched her in her face. She fell down.

Angrily Bash dived at the man and hit his throat and sank to her knees. Then hit his loins again and again and again until he passed out. By which point he had a bloody misshapen circle around the lions. 

“That was for the little girls and what you did with their feet!”

That was when more guards came and soon shot an arrow into his arrow, causing him to fall to the ground.

That was when they pulled the Emperor to the stairs. Zaryb came up by her and as the rest took out the rest of the guards then shoved him on the barge. Then they rowed him to the nearest Bounty Hunter Centre.

While the news grew fast that Bounty Hunter Bash had taken another one down they rowed away from the mega river and their towns behind. When the celebrations broke out and parents were reunited with their feet bound daughters they were long since gone.
