Strena Animéga Part Four

 Yuki

They soon walked on and on and on the path of the mountain. They all had to change into their warmer clothes before they walked up the cold mountain. They could have walked around the mountain but they knew that they had lost too much time and needed to cut as many corners as they could and this was the fastest way. Yet it was all empty aside from the sound of the stormy winds. Yet Yukino had to stay close to Cerpheres and Leonardo to keep warm. Chashathrophogh kept her close to him to keep her warm and Bash and Zaryb kept close. She looked at them as they walked on and on and on. Yet the one thing that helped them was Amagasa, who shielded them from the wind.

That was when they started to hear singing. They could not make out the words, yet as they walked on and on the atmosphere became colder and colder. Soon the words could be heard and she could tell that it was Anuméganese. Yet, even though it was the voice of a woman, she could not help but feel that the voice was not that of a human woman. There was something alien about the beautiful but barren tune. Almost like a lullaby filled with ice.

That was when all the men started to walk to where the voice was coming from. Yet as they walked on and on the two girls saw that they were all unfocused. Almost like they were sleepwalking.

Yet as they walked on and on, they walked off the path. Then they were walking into the deep snow.

They went to strike the men only for them to be dropped as they walked on and on. They looked at each other as they knew what they should do. So they huddled together as they followed the men and took Amagasa to shield them from the snow. They followed the men further and further in the snow.

Soon they all saw a beautiful and elegant woman dressed in a white kimono, decorated in silver snowflakes. She had snow white skin and jet black hair that were decorated with snowflakes and held up by hairpins with sapphire snowflakes dangling from the ends. Her eyes were cold light baby blue that looked at the men like a predator. She had small but full blood red lips.

Yet upon looking at the girls the snow became heavier and heavier. Soon it became a storm and they could no longer see her. Yet they all could no longer be seen.

That was when Strena felt her cuffs turned back and she started running and running with every intention of getting away from Zaryb and Chashathrophogh. Soon her body turned and ran and ran as fast as she could and she reached out her hand and gripped a cuff. She looked up to see that it was Chashathrophogh.

Good.

She kept a tight grip on him and the storm became worse and worse.

“Wheild me and get into your most spiritual state!” Cried Orion.

Right.

So she closed her eyes as she thought about the times that she played the violin. She drew Orion and it lit on fire.

Now go!

Quickly she dived at the woman. She raised her hand and the snow rushed to her. Yet she forced herself on. Soon she summoned spikes of ice and shot them at her. She dodged out of the way. She did it again and again. She dived left to right to dodge each and every one of them. She then saw a shadow fall over her. She looked to her right. Beside her was a walk of snow that was coming at her like a wave of the ocean.

Instinctively, she slashed and the fire flung out like a whip and split the snow.

That was when she was hit in the shoulder. She could feel the numbing ice. It was painful but it was a different type of pain. Then she was hit by the snow to the left. She slammed into the snow. She held the hilt as hard as she could. Yet she forced herself up.

She looked on as she could feel the cold get to her. She had to force herself on and she saw the ice spikes. She used her magic to melt them. Suddenly Orion’s blade dullled. She frowned as she looked at that.

She looked on and saw another wall of ice. She cut it in half as she ran on. She then saw more coming at her. She saw more ice coming at her and she melted it. The blade dulled further. Yet she saw another wall of ice and cut that one. She repeated this action again and again and Orion became duller and duller. So the moment that she reached the snow spirit it had gone completely out.

Yet she thrust her blade in her chest. Soon she thought about all the times that she played the violin and the blade set her alight.

She felt herself shaking all over as her body became colder and colder. Her lips were blue as she was overcome with tiredness. The storm became still and the sky became clear but winter still clung to the air. She fell and she could not stop herself from shaking as could feel the cold sting her until she could no longer feel her body.

Then she felt arms around her and warmth flooded her entire body as all went black.
