Strena The Vengeful Ones Part One
The Journal Entry
4th Thursday Jule
515 years after the 5th Age Of Legends
For the past three days we have been traveling with Bash and Chashathrophogh and the strange man Cerpheres, we decided to go to Lillisea and travelled a far distance where we were forced to go into a giant labyrinth. There we were, tediously, tested and had to fight a minotaur, a fury, a manticor and, as bizarrely enough, strange demon bunnies. Honestly, where did she get that idea from. Yet, I would not have believed it as I was asleep for that last one. However, I can tell that Chashathrophogh is only the type to jest at the right moment and not about serious things such as this.
Yet it was not just fighting that we had to do. We had, as I have written about, the tedious tests to do too. I don’t know what the others had but mine was to test my magical potential. See, when we were all separated, I walked on and on, Master/Uncle Zaryb had trained me better than to run. No, I had to conserve my energy until I needed it. After all, who knew what was in that labyrinth? I think that we did not get to everything that was in there, most likely only one tenth at most.
I soon came to an opening where there was a strange crystal in the centre. Yet I looked for the exit but there was none. If I did not know better I would have thought I was trapped. So, as Master/Uncle Zaryb taught me, I looked around for some clues to find a way out.
I soon found one. It was a purple envelope. I opened it. Inside was a piece of paper which was a letter.
(Strena used her magic to merge the letter and her journal)
Dear Dark Lady
Slayer, Assassin
Bounty Hunter
Arielsa Zuvé
I do hope that you are quite well and you have
started to put my lessons into proper action. After
all, I would be quite insulated if you did not.
Which I will not tolerate so you better start if so.
I can tell that you have great potential once you
truly come into your own.
I will not ask for your forgiveness on what I did
nor will I apologize for the pain I caused you when
I came back. After all, that is not our way and I
am both angry and proud of how you were able to
take me down.
Yet I know that is not what you want from this.
So I will tell you what you want to know.
Use your magic to break the crystal to get out.
Love From Dark Lady Grasharlo
Sent my love to Zaryb, which I am quite certain
you now know is your dear Uncle.
So I looked at the crystal and walked up to it. I focused my magic and willed it into the crystal with everything that I had. Then the crystal lit up a beautiful lilac. Then, as I continued, it became lavender. Yet I could feel my power being forced out of me and then the crystal became brighter and brighter. Soon it was so bright it looked like a purple star. Then it cracked and shook. Yet I could feel the continuation of my power being pulled out and the cracks and shaking became more and more until it exploded.
I collapsed and then looked up to see that there was nothing left. Then I looked down and saw an underground tunnel and I jumped into it. Then I walked for what felt like miles and miles with glowing mushrooms and crystals lighting the way. I just could not help but gawp at the beauty of the tunnel and drank it all in. I had to crouch down to take a closer look at the mushrooms. I then stroked the head and I think I smiled before walking on. I then came to a part of the cave and reached out to the crystals above my head and had to reach on my tip toes to touch the tip of the glowing crystals.
Then I came to a set of stairs that looked like it was made of the same crystals as the glowing crystals at the top of the cave. So I climbed up them slowly just amazed at the beauty of the stairs. Once I reached the top I felt slightly dismayed at having to leave the passageway behind.
I then tested my magic to see that it was still there. Seeing that it was, I soon rejoined the others. After fighting an evil changeling we left. Then the whole labyrinth was set on fire. So we ran out of the labyrinth. Once we were safe we slept peacefully for a long time before we woke up and moved on.
