Strena The Vengeful Ones Final Part

 The Power Of The Blades

Strena sat by Cerpheres as he gave her a violin and bow. She placed the violin to her chin.

“Not that way!” He sang as he corrected her posture.

He then put the bow to the strings.

“Now gently stroke the strings. If you do it too hard it’ll sound like you’re abusing a poor, poor cat!”

She did but it still sounded like a screaming cat. The rest jumped and looked at them as he chuckled.

“I told you to do it gently!”

“I did!” She snapped.

He chuckled as he wrapped himself around her and took hold of her hand. Then he gently guided it to stroke the strings with the correct gentleness. Soon it sounded something like a monotone tune.

“Better. Now, do practice that!” He sang before kissing her cheek and letting go.

She looked at the strings and practiced and practiced, even while they were walking, until she finally was able to get the hang of it. Even though she had the urge to put more pressure on the strings she resisted it. She kept this up all day until she got used to the gentleness of the movement. But this point they all had set up camp for the night.

“Now, try this!” He sang as he taught her how to arch the bow over so the bow stroked all the strings.

She then repeated the motion, trying to carry the type of stroke and resisting the urge to press on the strings harder. She went onto practicing this again and again until bed time. The next morning she kept it up until she was able to get the hang of it.

“Good, now keep it up, my dear.” Cerpheres sang.

She smiled as she gave the violin back.

“I’ll get you a violin all to yourself when we get to the next town.”

“But-”

“We will work on notes later. Don’t be so impatient!”

She nodded.

“Yeah, well I think that you two should until we get on the ship until your next lesson. That way we will not have to hear the sound like you’re torturing a cat.”

She nodded as they ate their breakfast then they walked on. They walked for half the day without breaks until they spotted a man in Meddeastern armour and helmet. He had dark skin and hair with blue eyes.

He looked at Strena with a harsh look and pulled out a bow and looked at it. Then without warning fired it. The bow was caught by Chashathrophogh. Then he charged at her. Cerpheres yanked her back as Bash charged at him. He bashed her away before she could land a hit. Before Chashathrophogh could respond he was thrown away as Strena jumped back.

She drew out her blades then went to drive them up as he flung his down. She felt tremors run throughout her body as they blocked. She felt a foot hit her in the chest. The next moment she saw a spear rising. Then stars came at him. With one swing they all fell.

She spun and went to strike him but he dived back. She flung one blade at him. He blocked and swung the next strike. He swung the blade down and hit it out of the way. He went to strike her throat. She blocked it and another tremor ran throughout her body. She did all to keep her grip on her blades. She swung Darkector to him, relying on his power. Yet she got kicked in the stomach. She struck his blade and dived up swinging. She flicked out her leg and drove her foot into his head.

His blade tremored as she stomped on his face. She then flew back and landed.

She raised her head. Only to see that he was about to hit her. She dived back then struck down. He grabbed her by the wrist. Then she felt like he was about to crush it.

She looked down in the blue eyes. It was filled with monstrous anger. Completely filled with rage and void of love. Then she tried to keep hold of Darkector. Then she drove Orion into the wrist. Then she heard music in her ears. Orion started to gown. Then she drew her blade up and cut off the hand!

She fell and rolled. She quickly picked up her sword. She caused Darkector to light up. He went to block it but it cut right through. She went to slice him but he dived back. Then she caused Orion to light up and cut through the armour like butter. She drove the blade up further and further then she saw the blade coming at her.

She jumped away as he fell. Yet he forced himself back on his feet. Sloppily he drove his spear up and put it in his mouth. He loaded a bow and fired at her. She chopped the arrow in two and saw the tip of the head of the spear in the top of her head. She felt ice and the blood falling from her temple. She fell.

She dragged her blades down, cutting the foot off. Then she felt a punch to her ribs. She flew for a moment before her head was bashed and all went black.

Later she woke up, the side of her head and wrists were still throbbing. Yet she knew that they were healed.

“Good work!”

“Wh-what happened?”

“You were able to kill him. All in all he was at the end of his time and he knew it. His heart and lungs looked like many dead I have seen.”

She nodded as she went back to sleep.
