The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Eight

The Final Division Of  The First Army It was early in the evening when they saw that dust cloud on the horizon. Loc had barely gained consciousness and the men had barely had a good rest. Yet they all got to their feet as they walked to their eagle, who also had barely had a good rest. They all collected their bows and arrows. Some yawned as they did this, as without a good nap, their minds could not wake up the way that they needed to be. Despite this, they all soldiered on.  Then they took to the air. Loc had to press her hand against Peble’s edge to wake herself up. The rest saw this then they pressed the arrows to their collar bone, making sure it was deep enough to wake them up but too shallow to cause any real damage. Then they took out their torches.  They all took a deep breath and sharpened their minds as they reached the first row. Loc counted that there were one hundred again. She looked around to see that there were five men at each side. Which meant tha...

The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Seven

The Third Round It was early in the morning and the sun had not yet risen. All the soldiers, eagles and Loc ate all the food that the king brought to them as fast as they could before they had to prepare for the battle ahead. She breathed in and out.  She remembered the events the afternoon before and knew that that was the best strategy. Yet she knew that if the wyrms would like at the end then they would have to rise higher faster. So, as her eyes rested upon the horizon, while they still had time, they went out and practiced that. Once they were in the air, she saw the dust cloud. They all collected their torches and the eagles got their bows and arrows. As soon as they were on their backs they set off. The moment that the wyrms saw them they all let their fire out of their mouths. She stopped it and pushed it back. That was then the men set the tips of the first arrows and fired. Then the heads pushed out of the fire. They went to the ones nearest to them. Then the arrows...

The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Six

The Second Wyrm Division  It was in the afternoon when they saw the next division on the horizon. Loc looked at the men that were still alive. She looked at the eagles and then back at the ones that were coming and did not like her odds. She looked at the eagles and noticed that more of them, which meant that they would have to do more of the heavy lifting. She bit the bottom lip as she knew that she needed to get all of this done as fast as she could. So she looked at the men and the eagles. Soon an idea came to mind. One that was still a long shot but it was the best one that she had. So she jumped down and looked at them. “Alright, they’re coming.” “What?” “Now!” “But we hardly survived the last time!” “Shut it! All you abled men, get a torch each. Eagles, get your bow anf arrows! Then pick a man, men you get on their backs, Elijah, I will be on you.” “Why?” “No time to explain. But on the battlefield, you will know.” She said as she climbed on his back. Then they were so...

The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Five

A Narrow Victory  Her eyes opened. She heard the muffled cries all around her. Her body was covered in a warm liquid that stuck and smelt of iron, meat and something else. She looked around to see that there were many bodies around her in the dim light. She swam on and on and soon reached a moist and soft wall ahead of her. She pulled out her sword and dug it into the wall. She then dragged the blade down. Soon the acid poured out and into the rest of the body. Yet she had to keep cutting to the other sides and then in the centre. She was soon pushed out of the stomach. She dug her blade into the inner flesh. She sliced down then pushed herself out of the body. She let in a gasp of fresh air but she knew that she could not rest. So she used her fire power and pushed it on to the head. She then put the fire out and let the gravity push her body down and she kept her blade and it dug into the skull. Then she pulled it out and thrust her fire into the hole. She looked up to the ...

The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Four

The First strike Loc and the rest woke up early. They all cleaned and sharpened their blades and arrows. The eagles looked at each and every arrow and counted them all. They then went on to check their bows. Once they knew that they were all ready, they all set off to the spot where the first division of the army would be.  They saw the wyrms appearing on the horizon. She spotted how big they were and could not help but think of Surpenti and her body. She noticed just how small she was compared to them.  She could feel fear rise like a wave as they came closer and closer and closer. She could feel herself shaking slightly. She had to let out a deep breath as she noticed that there were some men that were shaking too. One looked at her with nothing but fear in his eyes with sweat surrounding them. That was the only thing that she could see in his eyes. Yet despite this he looked on; however she could not help but notice his eyes dropping to the left. She looked down to see...

The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Three

A Convened Army Loc had only just finished her lunch when an army of soldiers arrived. At this she charged at them and went to strike the first one. Only for their blades to meet. “Woah there!” He sang as he raised his helmet revealing the black eyes and brunette hair and short beard. “We’re not one of Pendragon’s armies!” “Oh. And who are you?” That was when another took off his helmet. He had green hair and brown eyes with a blond goatie. “We are the knights of King Su. The true king of this land. Yet he sent us here to help you in any way we can! After all, we can tell that this will be the only time that this planet can be really free from the dragons forever. A thing that our king has been praying for since he could speak!” She nodded. “Do you have a name?” “Sir Kakashi.” Her eyes returned to the one whose sword and hers were still touching. “And you?” “Sir Gin.” She nodded. “And why hasn’t he tried to take down Pendragon, himself?” “He has. As all kings of this land have don...

The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part Two

A Reunion Of The Eagles  They quickly found an abandoned building to camp in. There, they stayed the night as Loc read the book and took several naps in between. When the sun rose, she knew that the eagles would shortly be on their way. Yet she knew that they would have less than twenty four hours to get ready for battle. However she had to focus upon getting ready to welcome them.  So she dashed into the city and quickly returned the book before shooting back to the building. Then she spotted a group of people gathered by them. She walked towards them, wondering why they were there. Yet upon seeing their eyes as they looked at her she suspected it was to see her. Even though she just did not want to admit it to herself.  After all, they did not know her or what she was. If they did then they would not be looking at her like she was some amazing hero. No, they would be running away from her in nothing but fear. Hoping that she did not know their names or faces. Yet,...

The Nine Dragons The Dragon King Part One

Enter The Domane They all looked at the stone walls ahead. There were several castles and grey stone houses. They were all high and narrow. The streets were also narrow with uneven cobbled roads and very thin pavements. All were well polished yet all of them were empty. The whole place was a marvel but claustrophobic. They all had to take a step off the pool in single file. Yet when they were all able to get off they all looked at Loc. She looked around for a moment. “What’s the plan?” “Well, we have a day until the eagles will come.” “Hopefully with reinforcements.” “Hopefully. Although, regardless of if they do,we will need to have something to show for it. After all, we know nothing about this place so we will need to spit up into teams to gather information. One group will be in charge of finding out when the armies will arrive along with what they look like. Another will be about learning about the people of this place and what they’re like. And the last will be all about fin...

The Story Of Johan Close Final Part

Birth Of The House Over the course of a couple of months Johan Close became a great and mighty fighter. He took down army after army. In fact, word got out to Dark Lord Gajellidor Darcrogh himself, that all that came against him soon fell. He, out of simple curiosity, decided to take an interest in this man. So he set off to his seeing pool. “Gorcor, send an army against this young man, the one called Johan Close!” “Yes, my Lord Master.” It took only a day before he was watching the battle. He saw the young man take a bow and fire shot after shot at the front row of them. He charged at a group of them and took out a sword and slashed the opposing sword down to the right and sliced multiple to the left. He did this again and again and again until one dodged out of the way and went to slash up. He pulled out a dagger and blocked it then stabbed him. He then kicked him in the face to get his sword out of his head. Then one went to strike him and he flicked his sword out as he spun a...

The Story Of Johan Close Part Two

The Wife’s Journey  A week passed Islesif felt deeply empty and lonely. She deeply longed to be with her husband. So she knocked on the door of her cousin, Rého Close, who looked very much like her and many, in the Seventh Age Of Legends, believe was Rého Rosecastle’s distant ancestor. He answered. If the village was not wiser they would have thought that the pair were twins and not cousins. In fact the only difference in their appearance were the three dots at the corner of his right eye. Another reason people a thousand years after this would think that he was the ancestor of Rého Rosecastle. “Islesif! How have you been?” He asked with a cough. “I would like to talk with you. I have been very lonely and have been deeply longing for my husband.” Before he could answer he turned away and coughed again and again and again until it came to an end. When he was calm he turned back to her. “Then why don’t you go to him?” “Because Johan told me to look after the farm.” “Then why do...

The Story Of Johan Close Part One

Called To War It was in the time at the end of the Fifth Age Of Legends in the Muniverse on the planet Merth when the first Fourth Age Legend the, then Dark Lord, Gajellidor Darcrogh (who would not become a Dark Master Lord until much later after the Sixth Age Of Legends.) was at war with the whole world in his attempt to take it over. It had been a long and hard war where a prophecy arose; a simple one. “The one that will bring this long dark war to an end, Will turn into a house in his final hour, Events of another will cause him to be sent, To another world the rest of existence he will spend, Helping the Mythos Puros master her power, Freed only after the mother’s true repent!” These words meant nothing to the eighteen and a half year old Johan Close. After all, he was nothing more than a modist farmer. Concerned with nothing but his cattle. Keeping the pigs from eating each other, the sheep were well fed and groomed, making sure the cows were grazing and milked well. When he ...

The Nine Dragons Dracula, The Dragon Prince Final Part

Rest Before The Storm They all took their things and picked up the dead. Loc and a group of men dug the holes to put each and every body that was brought to them in. Yet there was another group that retracted all their long steps to pick up all the dead that they could find and brought them to the group who were digging holes. They went from one room after the other. Then they went from the castle to the underground chambers and then to the walls. They all went throughout the land bringing dead body after dead body. This took up three and a half days, the first two were without sleeping. On the fifth day everyone took their time to mourn them all. They made sure to mourn each and every one of them, man and eagle alike.  So, after this, they all chose their rooms and collapsed in a bed that clearly had not been slept in for centuries. Yet they were all too exhausted to do anything about it. They all slept as soundly as a baby. Loc soon saw the last dragon in her dreams. She co...

The Nine Dragons Dracula, The Dragon Prince Part Twenty-One

The Dragon’s Warning They all entered the throne room. It was large and on the other side was a long destroyed stage area. It also had a long strip in the centre which was also broken. At the base was a large hole where a throne must have been. “Where’s the dragon?” Asked one. Yet Loc, who could not help but be reminded of the throneroom of Wolf Raven’s, snapped out of it and looked up. She soon spotted that ahead of them was a large black dragon with scarlet horns going along his spine and golden horns on his head. He had amber cat-like eyes with sharp teeth like knives in his mouth. “How bold of you to come here.” hHe boomed before fire blasted out of his mouth. Loc outstretched her hand and stopped the flames. Yet this was not enough as the fire was drawn out at both sides of the edges of his wingspan. Yet she pushed it on and flew up to Dracula’s throat and then went to push the fire back in but he closed it in time. Then he hit her down and she landed. “Get that mouth open!” ...
