The Nine Dragons The Life Dragon Part One

 A Bright Paradise

Loc took a step off the portal pool to be greeted by a circular structure surrounding the portal pool held up be white arches and it was beautiful. Yet she knew that she did not have the time to appreciate it. So she turned away from the portal and climbed the white marble stairs that curved out at the bottom. She saw at either end was a flower bed of pink and purple flowers and at the top was a row of trees. Yet she saw that they were all filled with apples that were the colour of lapis-lazuli.

What a beautiful display! She thought as she jogged lightly up to the top.

Her eyes widened as she saw white marble buildings that shone in the sunlight. Each of the upper floors had a balcony that had a dragon sculpture supporting it.

Yet she heard laughing as she looked around to see a man and a woman in a circle as they laughed beating a tambourine. Yet some were playing the piccolo and others, the flute. Others played the violin. They were all dressed in beautiful robes and the women wore a daisy chain around their heads like a crown and danced with each other along with the beautiful lively music.

That was when one spun closely to her and placed a daisy chain on her head.

“There you go pet!”

“What's going on?”

She frowned.

“What? You don’t know what day it is?”

She shook her head.

“I’m new.”

She frowned out of pity as a group of little children started to plat her hair. Which she frowned at as they started to brush her hair.

“What? You don’t know!”

“Know what?”

“Sing it! Sing it!” Sang the children.

“Here in Paradtopia,

Death is not a fear,

As the dragon Paradtopia,

Has taken it away,

Life is always here,

Remember to stay!

She brought the love of life,

Brought an end to our strife!!

All tambourine players beat their tambourines to their tune.

“So put a smile on your face,

Here doom and gloom have no place,

So laugh and laugh,

In love of life bath!

“Here in Paradtopia,

Death is not a fear,

As the dragon Paradtopia,

Has taken it away,

Life is always here,

Remember to stay!

She tapped to the tune.

“Hide under her wide, wide wings,

Listen to her when she sings,

Enjoying her life and light,

Know everything is right!

“Here in Paradtopia,

Death is not a fear,

As the dragon Paradtopia,

Has taken it away,

Life is always here,

Remember to stay!”

“Right…What has she done for this place?”

She leaned in and smiled like a false wise woman.

“I am glad you asked.”

Oh no!

“Once upon a time,

Before the concept of refine,

We were all dying and poor,

Death would be behind any door,

She breathed her breath of life and light,

Against all who deserved it and did fight,

Brining us full health,

And great and full wealth!”

That was when a beaker came up to her.

“Here, have your bread! We have plenty because of Paradtopia!” He sang as he shoved it into her mouth.

She frowned, chomping on it.

“See? Everything here is alright!”

She nodded as she pulled the bread out of her mouth. She slowly ate it. She looked around as someone took her by the hand and she was soon dancing before she was led to a long line.

“Stay here and wait for your turn.”

“Why?”

“To get your face painted.”

“Oh.”

She did not have to wait that long as she looked around to see the children had done well with their parents as her face was painted like a pearl white dragon.

“There you go, pet.”

“Urm, thank you?”

She laughed.

“You’re very welcome!”

Yet she moved throughout the place and noticed that there was more and more of this. However, she could not help but feel that there was something more going on in this place…
