Doormaze Drage Blood World Part One

 Escape

Doormaze was the first to wake. Her head was hurting but she was alive nevertheless. She raised her head as she looked from left to right. Her eyes rested upon Coalmine and Burn. She looked down to see that she was in a chair and her arms hurt. She tried to move them only to notice that they were bound.

“So, you’re finally awake!” An ice cold voice came.

“Wh-where am I?” She asked.

“That should not be any concern to you. Now tell me, who are you and where do you come from?” He demanded.

“Doormaze Drage and I come from a different world.” She muttered, confused.

She soon felt a painful sting in her right cheek as a strange purl coloured hand collided with it.

“Liar!”

“No. No, I’m not! Now, who are you and why are you doing this?”

“Yes you are! I know because there are no other worlds out there. This is the only one, whatever you rebels say!”

“‘Rebels’? What do you mean by-”

She felt another slap.

“You perfectly well know what I mean! Now, who sent you?”

“W-what? I don't know what you mean!”

“Oh, come off it! You are a rebel and-”

She looked out of the window.

“Why is the sky red?” She asked.

He looked at her confused.

“What do you mean? It’s always been red!”

“Not where I come from! So if it’s always red, how do you know when it’s night?”

He rolled his eyes.

“It’s a different shade. You should know this like everybody else or are you high as well as a liar?”

“‘High’?”

He rolled his eyes again.

“What drugs are you on?”

“None. Now tell me, what is going on?”

He frowned as he turned his back. This was when she heard something drop. Before she could blink, Coalmine’s foot was planted firmly between the shoulder blades of the man. She then quickly took his keys as she punched the back of his head.

“Why did you do that?”

“Simple. I know his type and he nor his night ups have any intention to let us go. They would rather it if we starved to death here than let us anywhere near any type of freedom.”

“How do you know that?”

She smirked jokingly.

“I can read his mind.”

“Oh. Why?”

“Because if it was proven that we are, indeed, from another world they would have shot us all on the spot.”

Her smile dropped.

“What? How could you know that?”

“I heard it when I almost woke up. Only for me to slip back into sleep.”

“I can tell at a distance what a type of person a person is. Mainly out of protection.”

“Right.”

Coalmine soon unlocked them. Then opened the door. She then soon dived at the guards, slamming her foot into their throats before they had time to think.

“Come on, we need to get out of here.”

“Obviously.”

“Then we need to find out what’s going on.”

“Agreed.”

They ran down the corridor. They all spotted a guard running at them. Coalmine placed her arms over them and dived back, pinning them against the wall as they let a flurry of fire at her as she drew her gun. She then grabbed their hands to stop them all from being separated. Then she ran on and on before the guard had any chance of doing anything before she regained her senses. Soon Burn noticed a window coming up and this was soon followed by Coalmine, who looked at her.

“Can you open it?”

“I-I think so.”

She looked up at it and closed her eyes. The frame started to shake. Then the tremor became shakier and shakier. Soon the frame started to crack. Yet she continued her work. She heard the sirens go off. Yet she forced her to drive out that distraction as she pushed and pulled with her magic. This caused more and more cracks to appear and spread throughout the frame. Then, after shaking worse and worse, it soon fell. She let out a gasp.

“So you really are -”

“Yeah!” She panted

Coalmine looked up.

“Come on. We don’t have time for this.”

“No. Burn first.”

She nodded as she pulled Burn and threw her out of the window. This was followed by Doormaze and then Coalmine. They soon fell and Coalmine took their hands and they ran in and on and fled the base.
