Bounty Hunter Bash Location Lock Part Seven

 The Land Attacks

After they had celebrated, the locals soon stopped.

“So how many of those tried to take you down?”

“What?”

“How many of Dark Lord Jorrarah’s monsters have you taken down?”

She told them. Yet that was when Cerpheres approached.

“Actually, me and my dear Chashy took him down!”

That was when they all looked at him as if he had spoken something offensive. So he shrugged.

“What!? Interestingly enough, he wanted to kill you my dear Bashy!”

They all looked at each other like they were caught with their trousers down. That was when the children started crying and some of the women wrapped their arms around their children or husbands and others just screamed.

“What? What!”

“That means his biggest monster is going to wake!”

“And what is that?”

“And those plants!”

“What?”

“And the tree!”

“What is going on?”

They all looked at them.

“You should have let her die!”

“Look, if there are monsters coming we will take care of them. Alright!”

“But the trees are going to eat us!”

“No, they are-”

That was when they heard a scream. They looked at as they saw a group of trees that had a face in the centre of the trunk. They had branches that were the thickness of an elephant trunk and had twigs the shape of hands. At the top they had leaves like the head broccoli came. 

One snatched a woman and was about to throw her into his mouth when Bash fired at the temple of the face and set it alight. Then she used her magic to pull her away from the fire. She loaded more and set the tips alight and fired at one after the other. Yet she could see some shuffling to one another. So she fired at one to the right then she fired at one to the left as fast as she could.

Yet she heard a scream coming from behind and saw a tree munching away at an unknown and unseen victim. She fired at that one and she saw another one coming and she fired at that one and another and another and another. 

Yet she looked at her uncle and tossed him a spare bow and quiver. He looked at her and smirked; he then looked away and fired at one after the other. Bash lit them and knew that they needed to speed up the process as they fired at one after the other, just to save the arrows.

So they looked at each other then spread the fire to the nearest trees. This caused them to combust. Soon they were all on fire. Yet they could see that they were now on a ring of fire. Which took out one of the rest of the trees.

When they were gone, they put out the fire.

“Yes! That was good! You were so very good!” Exclaimed Cerpheres.

“Calm down now.”

He let out a moan.

“Alright!”

Then they all looked at the locals as Cerpheres went to a private part on the island for a moment. Then came back after a few minutes calmer.

“When will the rest be coming?”

“Well, we do not know.”

“But what we do know is that they are attracted by blood.”

Bash nodded as she looked back at the men and repeated what she had just been told.

“My, my! That is going to be soon!”

“What?”

“Shades and phantoms are well known to locate their prey by the blood very fast.”

They looked at each other and nodded. They quickly collected the arrows.

“Are they dragon scale arrows?”

“Yes. Why?”

“No reason.”

“Now, time to prepare.”

So they all collected firewood and circled the village.

That was when they saw a man slip and soon was whipped by olive green vines. The next thing that she heard a scream as a group of plants the shape of an upside down bell with a lid the shape of a lilly.

“Don’t do that!” Both Uncle and Niece snapped as one went to get him. 

So they all raced back in the circle as they came closer and closer. Both fired at the fire and used the magic to push the fire back and out as far and wide as they could. Soon they were all taken out.

Yet that was when they felt a rumbling all over. Then the ground beneath them opened up and revealed a rocky tongue and a hole like a mouth. Nearly half the village fell.

They all screamed as they all climbed the safe trees and at the top they saw that they were looking at a face. The eyes ahead of them were the size of elephants and when width was as wide as a titana boa.

They looked at each other in horror as they saw the mouth open and close. They looked at each other again then looked down biting their lip.

“Looks like you woke it!”

“What is that!”

“The biggest monster that he made!”

“What?”

“No way!”

“It's alright! We can take it down!”

“How?” They both snapped.

Cerpheres looked at them with a smirk and an ambitious spark in his eye.

“Let’s combine our magic to create a ball of death fire!”

“I don’t know how to do that!”

“Weeell! Aim for the month and will the fire that you make to kill whatever it touches. And use your full will when we do this dastardly act!”

“Right.”

So they all focused on the mouth and did just that. They all built their magic up and used all the power that they could muster within them. This formed a ball of black fire with purple and green smoke. They kept this up again and again and again, building and building and building, pouring in more and more of their magic and will. They pushed out as much as they could, not letting up once. They soon felt a strain but continued until the ball grew and grew and grew. Soon the birds that were caught in the smoke fell and landed in the abyss of darkness below. Yet they kept on pouring their power to that point.

“Now!”

Then they pushed it down and it flew down faster than they thought. The next moment the eyes closed and the last breath was released. After this the island collapsed and the water around flooded the mouth. The thing was dead and they all felt drained and all went black.
