Bounty Hunter Bash Location Lock Part Six

 Monsters Of Death

It was night again and had finished the raft. That was when they were approached by a group of people. They had light brown skin and a multitude of eyes. Some looked eastern, others western. They all looked at each other.

“Are you from the North West?”

“Can you understand us?”

“Yes.”

“Who are you?”

“We are the children of the ones that were shipwrecked here. None of them could escape. So they came together.”

Bash nodded.

“And why are you here?” Chashathrophogh asked.

“We noticed that all the poisonous plants are now burned.”

“We wanted to know what happened.”

Bash explained.

“Well, come. You do not want to be out here, on this night.”

“Why?”

“We could do something.”

“Headless servants of Death. The dead brain eater and the blood sucker will come.”

They all looked at each other for a moment. Then back at them.

“We will stay and fight.”

“Are you what is called mad?”

All shrugged.

“At least we tried.”

“We will come in the morning to burn your bodies.”

“Noted.”

“As if it’ll be that easy! Although it’s cute that you think that!”

“Maybe you should bring extra wood. After all, it will be their bodies that we will be burning.”

“Vampires don’t leave bodies.”

“But dulahans and zombies do.”

At this they looked up at the moon and then ran back to where they came from. At this they all looked at Chashathrophogh.

“Any suggestions?”

“Well, the dulahans, go for the heart. But zombies you go for the head.”

“Why?”

“Dulahans hold their heads, that is not their weakness. In fact Zarry tried taking one of them down by casting the head in the fire.”

“And did work?”

“No “

“And why the heart?”

“I don’t know. It’s just something that Zarry discovered just after that.”

“You have such interesting adventures!”

That was when they heard the sound of yelling coming. They all looked back to see four riders coming towards them.

“Are they them?”

“Yes. But I will tell you that those horses are not real horses. They are an extension of themselves.”

They nodded.

Bash pulled out her bow and fired at the chest. Only for the horses to rise up seemed to gallop in the air! Her eyes widened as she pulled out two arrows. She put one arrow in her hand and fired at the other. The moment that it was released she flicked the other arrow back and fired where it was going and the first dropped. Then the horse turned into smoke which faded. This was followed by the dulahan falling. She spotted that all were looking at the dead dulahan. This gave her the opportunity to fire at the one to the right and quickly to the ones on the left. All fell.

“Well that was fast!”

“Well I wasn’t going to let them get anywhere near me!”

At this Cerpheres raised his eyebrow and tilted his head.

“Now, what did they say was next?”

“Vampires or zombies. If we are dealing with a regular vampire we only need to worry about getting to their hearts. Yet if they are not, then we will have something serious to deal with.”

The other two nodded.

Yet when the moon hit the centre of the sky the first thing that they could smell was the foul stench. It was the scent of death and it clung to the air like alcohol.

“Zombies!”

That was when they saw bodies in the far distance. They could see the green and puss coated skin. They all looked at each other and knew what they were. That was when she quickly fired an arrow at the head and then fired at another and another and another and another. This took out one after the other Chashathrophogh threw tiny daggers at the ones in between the ones that Bash shot at.

Then Cerpheres was about to pull out some of his stars but he put them away again as he wanted to watch them take them out row after row after row. Soon they took them out.

“Now, to collect!”

That was when they walked up and retrieved all their weapons and thoroughly cleaned them. Then they looked up at the ship. Which was dimly lit. Then they looked at the sea.

“We are going to have to kill all the merfolk first. Before we can get there.”

“Yes.”

“And do you really think that you can do it?”

“You know that I could.”

Yet as they continued to clean their weapons, they could not help but feel the hairs on their body stand on end. They looked back to see that there was nothing there. So they turned back to their cleaning. Yet they knew that they had to keep their guards up. Then they could feel that feeling increasing. This caused their heartbeats to increase too, yet they looked back for a moment to see a rustling of the bushes. Yet they turned back for a moment and, as they finished their cleaning, the feeling was screaming in their heads.

Bash felt ash pour down her back. She let out a squeak of a scream as she turned back to see a row of red eyes lit up, looking directly at them. Yet they were a good group of them. She dived back as Chashathrophogh threw his daggers at their hearts. Cerpheres threw his stars at them. The ones behind looked at them as they were taken out. Yet the ones behind jumped back and up. Bash fired an arrow at the heart of the row that jumped up. Only to see a group almost get to her. Yet Cerpheres flicked a star at them as he smiled.

“Bash, cut yourself.”

“Why?” She called as she took out a group.

“It’ll send their minds cra-zy!” He purred, licking his lips slowly.

“And why-” She asked as some almost reached her.

“They just can’t resist the sweet, sweet blood from a woman, especially a virgin!”

“Oh!”

She saw the tiny daggers in front of her.

“Get behind us! Also, how do you know she’s a virgin?”

Bash dived behind them as he let out a hum. He threw several stars at another row.

“Trust me! I can tell a virgin from a mile away!” He sang. “I can tell that you’re one too!”

At this he had a murderous look on his face as he threw more and more tiny daggers at them.

“Why am I letting you live?”

“Because of my usefulness and charm!” He sang as he threw more.

Yet Bash looked up to see some flying up. She fired at them.

“Shut it! Focus upon the ones in front of you! Or do you want to let them to get past?”

That was when several daggers hit behind her. She was silent as she saw the ones behind. She fired at them.

“Right, I will be on the sky, Cerph’, please keep your eye on the ones behind and Uncle Chashathrophogh keep your eyes on the ones behind.”

“Right.”

“Since you asked so nicely!”

So they did this again and again and again and soon took them out.

“That was easy.”

“It seems that we got the easy ones.”

“Or the ease of their prey had dulled their senses.”

“So what now?”

“Go and burn the bodies?”

Which they soon did. In the morning the people there came with more wood and soon gave it to them.

“Come.”

“Thank you!”

“Yeah! Let’s celebrate.”

So they did.
