Doormaze Drage A World Of Truth Part Six

 Coalmine’s Round


“So, what do we do?” Asked Burn.

“I will go first. You, go second and you will go last.”

Coalmine narrowed her eyes.

“Why?”

“Simple. He can’t fight forever and you’re the strongest.”

Burn looked down and nodded.

“But wouldn’t it best for Coalmine to go first?”

Doormaze looked down for a moment. Then she thought about it for a moment.

“Oh yeah!”

“So?”

“Coalmine,you go first, Burn, you go next. Then I will go last. Make sure that you all last as long as possible.”

“Right.”

“When do we do this?”

“This afternoon.”

“Why?”

“So that we are at our best.”

The rest nodded. Yet Doormaze could not help but look at Coalmine.

“And, again, we will address everything once we have finished off this guy.”

She became pale and nodded. Then after that they went onto quickly train and after, at lunch, rested. After a good meal Coalmine, Burn and Doormaze set off. They stayed at the front of the castle.

“You healed well.”

“Part of the dragon side.” She spoke as she walked in.

She soon saw him on the throne. He looked directly at her and smirked.

“Back again?”

She smirked and shrugged.

“Could not stay away.” She spoke.

She breathed in and let out a small blast of fire.

“Now, let’s begin.”

She charged at him and let out a blast of fire, but not a large one. He swiped that away. She sent a few fire balls at him. He swiped each and every one of them. She then sent a wave of fire at him. He swiped. She sent another and another and another. His hand moved from left to right rapidly. Yet she sent more fire balls and as he was dealing with them she sent a wave of fire at him. She did this again and again and again and he was able to block them all.

However she felt her own impatience started to grow but she ignored this. She was not trying to take him out but make him as tired as she could. So she kept up the series of fire balls and fire waves coming and coming. She felt her impatience rising again. She had to ignore it again, she had to keep Doormaze in her mind. So she forced herself on and on and on.

Come on. You’re better than this. You know that you are better than this.

No. I don't want to let her down. I can’t let her down. I can’t let her down!

Come on! You knew that she will never understand. But this man could. Burn could, but not her. Never her.

Shut up! I need to make sure that she knows that she needs me.

Why? Just because you're afraid of the dragons and want to be one, doesn’t mean that she will understand all the reasons.

She will!

Soon her flames became erratic as she pushed herself on and ignored the voice in her head. She kept it up until…

But will she love you again? Will she truly trust you again?

At this she let out a blast of fire that held more power than she had intended to. Yet she noticed the twitch in his eye.

See? You do not need the other two. You can do this on your own! You know that you can. So just imagine the look on their faces if they saw that it was you and you alone that did it. Just think of how much they will respect you. Just think about how much power they will give you.

At this she charged at him and sent a blast of fire at him that was stronger. Yet he just flicked it away. She then sent bigger fire balls at him as she grabbed whatever weapon that she could. As he flicked the fire balls away she went to slash at him. Only to collide with the wall.

“That was better. But still I know that’s not your best!”

So she got up and sent a powerful blast of fire his way. This was followed by the powerful fire balls. Yet he still was able to flick them away. She did this again and again and again, getting closer and closer and closer to him. Then, when she was close enough, she sent a blast of fire out and curved her head. This made a ribbon of fire in front of him. He flicked away and she burst out of the flames and slashed at him. The tip of her blade skimmed the bridge of his nose just before she was blasted back.

“Humm…You made me bleed?” He muttered nonchalantly as he licked the blood with the tip of his tongue.

Yet she ignored this and raced to him again and repeated the actions again. This landed her in the same position. She sent the fire balls at him. This was followed by the waves of fire. Then the curtain and before she broke through the flames she found herself back on the wall again. Yet we got up and did this again and again and again. She was then able to get to the nose again but this time she felt a hand around her neck.

The next moment she felt the pain run throughout her body. Yet she forced herself to push past the pain and went to slash him again but he was able to grab her by the wrist. He pulled her in before blowing her a kiss. She was pushed back so hard she broke her wings again as she landed.

She got up as she only just saw the fire balls coming at her. She was only just able to dodge out of the way. Only to be hit in the arm and as she dodged out of the way of more coming at her. Then she was hit by the next and this happened again and again and again until she knew that she could not keep it up. 

So she was about to try what she did a moment ago. Only to see a wave and she dived behind a pillar. Then the flames reached both sides of her. Yet she could do nothing until the flames stopped. She looked back to see a curtain coming at her. This forced her back behind the pillar. She looked back to see the fire balls. She had to stay where she was as she heard smashes and this wax followed by the wave and the curtain and the fire balls again. 

This caused more and more cracks and then chunks and chunks to fall from the pillars. This repeated again and again and again, soon the last chunk fell and she was about to dive to another when she was hit again. Then the other shoulder cracked when she hit the wall. Pushing past the pain, she dived to the next pillar only for the events to repeat themselves. Even when she dived to the next pillar. 

She had to do this again and again and again and soon she lost all feeling in her arms and her vision became blurry as her head became light. Yet she forced herself on and on and on. Her arms grew colder and colder as she did. Her eyelids started to drop.

Have to get outta here. She thought. Can’t do it alone.

She looked to the door.

“Giving up? Wouldn’t blame you. You look as if you are already on death’s door!”

Coalmine let out a huff and let out a deep breath and blasted at him with fire with as much power as she could muster as her body gave in.

Get out of here now. So she darted for the door before all went black.
